***September 2016 Mummies***

I don't know! I feel the complete opposite to what I did with my DD but I'm thinking maybe it's because I don't have as much time to sit and feel sorry for myself like I did then lol x

Wow what a lovely scan picture <3 we've got an early scan on Thursday, I'll be 7+2, I have regular cycles, know I OV on CD 16 and got a BFP at 9DPO so I'm hoping I'm right on my dates and we can see a HB! Also got midwife/booking in I think - they didn't actually say what appointment it was in the morning. Getting nervous now but staying positive.

I'm trying to make it to Easter holidays without telling work!

We are staying team yellow! Xx

Hi September Mummies ☺️ After a poorly 4 weeks a trip to hospital on Friday confirmed I was pregnant but may be miscarrying... Scan today confirms all is fine and Im 9 weeks + 1 day ☺️☺️☺️ Turns out I've probably over five it and damaged my womb tissue which is what's been bleeding so rest from
Now but eek what a surprise!!! I had a blood test 3 weeks ago and referred to a gynaecologist for possible endometriosis/pso and all along I've just been pregnant!
Due sept 11th.. Will be 10 days after my son turns 5!

Ah that's amazing news! So glad all is okay for you! X

Great news itchy - welcome and congratulations xx

Bit frustrated, got an appointment letter to 'see one of the obstetrics team' for 29th April.... Will be day before I'm 21 weeks, meant to be a 16wk appt ffs. Will be right on the phone to them tomorrow. I'd have had both scans and not seen anyone since booking at 8wks at that rate. Meh.

Turns out because they want to keep me under a certain consultant and my ideal 16wk apt date will be Good Friday, they booked me for the next clinic that Consultant has, over four weeks later

Pointed out to them that if this were my second pregnancy, that would be fine, it's not, it's my first and I was referred to see the consultant due to history of early miscarriage as well as my BMI, so leaving me three months from booking to apt, with only my scans in between was not on.

The have rescheduled me to 14+6 on 18th March, two weeks after my first scan, which I'm happy with.

Helped that the nice lady doing the admin is married to one of our night shift team ;)

Lxx

Joining in ladies. Had my booking appointment last Thursday and I'm due 1st September. I'm 10 weeks and 2 days today. Anyone ever had a part time midwife? X

Not heard of a part time midwife. My friend is a MW, she is full time but I don't think the level of care will differ.

Got my booking in on Thu (presuming it's that, I booked it at 4 weeks) I'll be 7+2 - anyone know what I can expect and how long it lasts? Xx

No she said she only does part time. Tuesday and Thursday to be precise. Ur booking is just a get to know u. She's goes through ur medical history what home life is like. Where u want baby. Baby's dad medical history x

I had a PT mw last time - all my appts were on her working days and if ever I needed someone on her days off I could ring the main number. Didn't affect me one bit :-) xxx

Lander glad you've got your appointment sorted hun xxx

I think it's actually quite common - especially if they're mums themselves and have decided to go PT while their LOs are young. I found it fine :-) xxx

Just never heard of part time that makes sense but she said her were in their teens. Xx

Doubt I'll see my booking midwife again. She's retired and was working at weekends as bank staff and lives about 45 miles from the hospital lol.

If I don't stay under consultant care I'll be with the midwife at my GP clinic. Her name is Sarah apparently.

My MW is called Margaret Anne according to the letter. Not sure if shes part time or whatever.

But it works in our GP there are like 5 wing colours, Im yellow wing so our MW clinic for that day is a Wednesday.

I imagine if they have clinic sessions its quite possible for them to be part time and no one would know the difference, given that they are seeing the same person each week on the same day.

xxxx

Just never heard of a part time midwife. Apparently my previous midwife walked out and left them hanging xx
