** September 2014 Mummies! **

He has so far claimed that it is ok - as he got the book for free and I haven't seen any signs of sticker packs... But we shall see! Last time he ended up buying missing cards of ebay... Kept him quiet for a while though

Have you had your dog for a longtime? X

hahaha bless!
nope, only four months nearly, not long, he's only 6 months old xxxxx

Nic - I guess everyone knowing the sex and your chosen name does make them bond more with the baby, but nothing would have made it any less painful :(
Its nice you and OH are just keeping it to yourselves, its hard to enjoy pregnancy privately, everyone always wants to know everything and has an opinion on everthing too! Atleast you can quietly enjoy that bit together :) xx

p.s Thanks Kathy xx

you're not finding out are you?
xxxx

I have been feeling a bit down the past few days, so decided to try an cheer myself up by starting to make a quilt for little one - this is how it looks so far....

Nic, nope staying team yellow, was really dying to know in the beginning, but after discussing it with OH we decided not to, I think due to all the extra questions you get like, are you glad you're having a boy/girl? What are you going to call them? Now I can just say I dont know what we're having, and it normally ends there haha. So far anyway...
EVERYONE keeps saying that I must be so excited, im like yeah.. but im also nervous and scared, its a big change for me, to them its just a cute baby!

Kathy, thats AMAZING!!! I love it! I take it you are quite creative?? xx

The quilt looks lovely Kathy82!

Amylouise we're bump buddies! and both on team Pink too!

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow, will be happy when it starts so I can put nerves to rest, not felt her move yet, or if I have I didn't realise that was what it was, so just want to know all is ok. Will be nice as not going into school first so will get a lie in!

that's great rebekah, what a lovely idea! looks very cute, colourful!

that's really lovely though climbingrose (sorry i don't know your name?), i wouldn't have the patience not to find out, and having to buy white stuff, i've loved being able to buy colour and little outfits. oh yeah of course it is! but it's kind of a silly questions, whos gonna go erm no actually i'm not, at all.. unless in a unique sort of situation say like, mine.. and even i wouldn't say no lol. pregnancy is a way for people, strangers, to pry into business yet everyone thinks it's okay!

good luck tomorrow vicky, enjoy your lie-in! i can never sleep in i'm so used to being up by 7am xxx

Thanks Nic, I'm not sure I'll sleep, but will enjoy my alarm not going off at 5.45 and having to rush and shower etc! I'm normally in school for 7am, having just dropped OH at the train station before that!

Yeah I have to say I've struggled with buying! I keep seeing such lush clothes I'd like to buy... we've been given lots of my friends neutral newborn clothes, both me and OH quite like all the cream beige/biscuit colours. Im not keen on yellow everything! We got the hungry caterpillar sleep bag from tesco, I love it!
I just keep telling myself I've got all the babygrows I'll need for the first few weeks, and then I can go get nice little outfits when baby is here! In a way its stopping me going completely nuts and spending too much haha, we're on a tight budget as I went down to part time work before I got my bfp, and OH is just finishing his degree.

Haha yeah I know, people keep asking me which I'd prefer, as if im going to say 'girl. If I have a boy im sending him back!' No point having a preference because you cant change the outcome lol.

My name is Kate :) xx

oh of course - wow 5.45! yikes..

yes of course you can! at least you can be given and bought things now and not actually be inclined to put baby in them, and buy your own outfits when they arrive :D

kate, lovely name! xxxxx

Nic and Kathy82 my Hubs is in the sticker club too! He is such a geek, he even has an excel spreadsheet of the swaps he has done..seriously??!!

Ah Nic sorry to hear you're feeling upset about the doggie..It must be so hard as you love them but when they are naughty it is so frustrating. I havent got a dog at the moment but know how stressful it can be with them especially with the added worry of how he will be when baby arrives...I hope things improve

Kathy82 that quilt is beautiful! I'd never have the patience to make something like that!

Ah Climbingrose sorry you are still feeling ropey..I hope you'll feel better tomorrow..

Ah Vicky good luck for tomorrow..its an exciting but nerve racking time isnt it! Nice you get a lie in too :)

x

Quilt looks fab Kathy82!

Glad to hear about your OHs buying stickers and albums-I work for a news/mags wholesaler and a massive chunk of our year's budget is reliant on good sales of World Cup stuff! Tell them to keep going and I might even get a bonus lol!

Wish I had a lie in before the scan tomorrow-got to get through five hours at work first! Still, once I leave for the hospital in done for the bank holiday weekend as I've got Friday off too. Hubby's brother is being marked Saturday so I've posted my help to the bride to be. Can't wait to share their big day with them! x

I get so excited about the thought of other people's scans - so lovely to be sharing other pregnancies, it helps break up the time between my own events!
I don't think I could ever be team yellow - as soon as I found out I was pregnant I started googling I soon I could get a gender scan!! I don't know how you have the patience!

I have done a few sewing projects in the past - would love to do more, no real experience just make it up as I go along - with a little guidence of the internet :) I made these hearts as favours for our wedding last year.

clare, i hope things improve too hun, thankyou. hes so stressful sometimes it feels like too much for me, like last night i just bawled my eyes out. hubby text me today saying he's been really well behaved today, no whining when he's left the room or anything, said he went upstairs ironed his shirt, had a shave and got dressed and not a peep from the dog.. i came home, sat down in the kitchen, oh used the bathroom and oh yeah there it is, whining barking for alex. ridiculous. i've just had to put the maiden in the living room instead of the kitchen as this pervy pete keeps stealing undies off it!

oh my god clare i am full on laughing out loud that is so funny, excel spreadsheet! oh is going 'and you thought i was nerdy!' hahaha .

lmao becky, we just went to asda and i let him buy more stickers  hope work goes quick for you before your scan! good luck, cant wait to see pics..
xxxxxxxxxx

Lol Clare - men and their stickers... Think it is true they never grow up! OH says "if" he starts buying stickers, it is all just for the baby :) I am sure I use that one myself with some of the things I buy so guess I can let him get away with it. If he does start at least I know some people he can swap with! xxx

Haha Becky my Hubby is doing a damn good job of doing it single handed!!

Its ridiculous isnt it Nic! He prints it out and takes it to work so he can update it there after he has done swaps at lunch..Oh dear!!
Oh bless you, it shouldn't upset you that much should it, Doggies are meant to bring you joy not stress and tears! My dog used to be like that when my Mum left the room, would whine and cry until she came back, it used to drive me mad!
Oh no does he?! What a monkey!!

Ah Kathy82 thats so pretty..Maybe that could be a little sideline for you when Baby arrives!
