** September 2014 Mummies! **

Yes exactly! There are always going to be loads of things to buy aren’t there! Once they are here I’m sure we will be very grateful for the freebies!!

Oh yes good idea... that will be a lovely thing to get done :)

Not sure yet when we will be doing it..hopefully soon so I'm organised and ready for baby :-) can't believe I'm going to have another newborn..it's such a scary thought lol. I'm trying to get Tyler's room sorted into a 'big boy' room at the moment so waiting for a proper bed and changing it to Mickey mouse lol xx

Ah I bet!! How old is Tyler? Oh that sounds cute, I love a bit of Disney!!

Congrats on team blue Amy!

I am surprised at what people want to offer for the baby! We got a pram/travel system/car seat from a colleague for a bargain, and hubby's parents have ordered a cot bed, mattress, changing unit for on top of the cot and quilt/bumper etc and it's lovely. We are going to use current furniture in the room, so apart from a moses basket and maybe a springy bouncy chair thing, it's all the little bits we need!!

I did get some paint in the homebase 15% off day last week, that was so handy.

We are planning to move once we have enough saved for a deposit, so am trying not to go crazy with things but it's so hard cos there are so many amazing things! xx

how lovely that you guys were offered things, i was given some clothes for first pregnancy but that's it.. this time my mum is buying me a chair for my nursery.. she bought some bottles and clothes last time and other people bought a couple of things for her.. this time it's all different i have everything already and i don't want anything bought for me whatsoever.

with regards to feeling better, never felt crappy at any point really other than feeling anxious, and nurserys done!

tri 3 is a good few weeks away for me, got my 20 week scan on friday.. no photoshoots on my part so can't comment..

glorious weather and stuck at work until 6pm :(

mickey mouse sounds great for big boy bedroom! xxxxx

Tyler is coming up 20months and he loves Mickey so thought we would add some into his room. He already has wall art with his name and Mickey with stars ect so it works well xx

Ah Ali thats good that you don't have to get much either! Although I know what you mean about wanting to as there is so much lovely stuff!

Nic I know, so lucky..People are very generous! Ah thats nice that you have a lot and your Mum will buy you a chair for the nursery.. Its nice that its all finished :)
Oh not long until your scan then, thats exciting!

Rubbish being stuck in work when the weather is nice outside...Seems such a waste!

nds... its all friends/aquaintances that have given stuff. Not a sniff of anything from any of our family! Im a bit shocked actually. Sure that'll change when baby arrives.. if it doesnt I think I might be a bit hurt!

nds - my scan went well thanks. The sonographer said she should put a warning sign on my file saying 'hard to scan' because baby was doing so many back flips. I have been called back by a consultant tomorrow morning because they want to double check babies bowel because it looks thickened but they said it's hopefully nothing but want to make sure. I'm sure they are just being over cautious. What an incredible experience the whole thing was.

Anyone else struggling with morning sickness still? Mine cleared up weeks 14 & 15 then came back with a vengeance and has stayed ever since, not holding out much hope that it'll clear any time soon.

Gemima, every now and again i get hit my sickness out of nowehere. Its not nice, have you been doing all the usual tricks to make it as bearable as possible?

ClimbingRose yeah and I am getting used to it, it's just a nuisance. Especially when your trying to leave the house in the morning and you just start throwing up everywhere. Ah well, it's all worth it!

MrsHttc if Pedro is a girl will you start calling baby Pedra?!

Lol Pedretta if it's a girl ClimbingRose haha....until we gave an actual name of course haha.

Is anyone suffering from awful headaches? I never get headaches but these are just blinding. Really starting to bother me now :( xx

Mrs Httc, I suffered with severe daily headaches for 5 weeks!! From about 14 weeks to 19 weeks.
I went to the Doctors twice because they were just unbearable. In the end she said I could take co-codomol for 3 days. I think this may have done the trick. Touch wood I have been headache free for 2 weeks now!
I feel for you, it was a miserable time when I was getting them so bad..

For those who have had their 20 week scan or have a date for it, how much notice did you get? I am 18+3 and not had an appointment yet :(
Excited about seeing little one again!! X

I got my scan booked at my 16 week midwife appointment and confirmation letter arrived a few days later. Might be worth asking your midwife if she knows when you might hear about it?

Well girls...I have reached 20 weeks today! Happy half way point to my due date buddies mrshttc and jt00010! And to make things even sweeter...I have my 20 week scan tomorrow morning! Yey! Only one more sleep! At the moment I'm mainly excited about it but I know the nerves will creep in by tomorrow as I still have not felt anything that I could say 100% was baby wriggling away. Getting a wee bit worried as I felt my 1st baby around 16 weeks so it's quite a difference this time! Hoping all is fine in there and I just have lazy bugger! Planning on staying on team yellow but I have to confess I think it's a boy...just hope I can stay strong in the morning and not scream at the sonographer "YES TELL US JUST TELL US FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!"

Hope everyone doing ok.

Xxx

Hi Kathy,

My hospital booked my 20 week scan in for me at my 12 week appointment, so I had 8 weeks notice. I would call them as you should have heard by now.

They usually give you more than enough notice to clear it with work etc....

I don't know why? But I haven't joined in this thread yet?

Anyway, I'm 20weeks, Team PINK! Due the 14th Sept.

Hi Kathy, at my 16 week midwife apptmnt I still hadnt heard, and she said if I hadnt by 19 weeks to ring her and she'd chase it up.
I got the letter week 19 lol, same thing happened with my 12 week, literally arrived the week before, lucky I am flexib;e work wise! MUst be a pain for those who have to take a day of work short notice. Ring your midwife this week and let her know, she can find out for you xx
