Yay for team pink mrsH, your house is definitely going to have the girl power lol

Glad your scan went well as well soph, I'm hoping for a well behaved baby at my scan.

Yay for having a scan date kathy, but I cant believe youve had to chase them up. Mine is on Thursday at 20+6weeks sp not too far off your date, I've not gad a scan since my 13 week one, so really impatient for it now.

I've not long got up from an emergency nap, I was phoned at 3pm asking to work 10pm - 6am tonight on my day off! Stupidly said yes as I never feel as though I can say no, luckily harry hadn't long gone down for his nap xx

Great news on the scan front!

Can I ask because there's lots of talk about measurements etc, on my scan notes there are measurements for the head, longest part of leg and one other but for all organs etc it just says seen, do your scan notes give any more detail? I don't want to be given minimal info when others were measured in more detail if that makes sense

Had my scan today and I am having a boy. Got to go back in two weeks so they can have a better look at his heart as he was laying on his tummy. Can't get my head around the fact I will have two sons! Good job we found out so I can get used to the idea before he arrives. My little boy is very happy to be having a brother.
 
Congrats kcjc!! Awww thats so lovely having 2 boys. My friend has just had her second son and she says her family is now complete, and her eldest boy is so taken with the little one!! xx

I'm bored as hell at work, it is dead quiet! Trying to think of the extra pennies as its meant to be my night off. Got a phone call at 3pm to start at 10pm! Only 4 more slow boring hours to go xx
 
Awww Kanga thats rubbish! Guess you'll be home in bed by now, you're right. Just gotta think of the money! I havent done night shift but used to do either a 3pm - 11pm or 7am - 3pm shift, and both were very boring either first thing in the morning or in the evening, it was only busy from about 12 midday - 7pm, so either side of that was soooo slow and boring!! xxx
 
I am unfortunately awake :( Someone's got to look after my little man, although he did let me sleep til 9:30am as he was happy in his cot playing. The rest of the shift actually went by alot quick than the first half somehow. I'm now looking for to nap time lol xx
 
Awww bless you, I've already been to work and back again today.. its only a couple of hours, but I find I feel just as tired after as when I've done a full day! No idea why... How long do you think you continue with these shifts? Do you think you'll go on maternity early? xx
 
It really is exhausting now. Hoping to drop to 2 shifts a week from July (29 weeks) and switch to weekend days so dh can take over childcare duties. Hoping to then stay until 37 weeks and use up the rest of my holiday with maternity starting at 39 weeks xx
 
Crikey!! Im still deliberating whether to take the government maternity leave for self employed people from 29 weeks, or hold off for longer. I just dont know what will happen after baby in regards to work though, so might be handy to have those payments coming in for as long as possible after he/she is here rather than waste them before hand just because im sick of my job. xx

yay that's great, congrats on finally getting a date rebekah, bit ridiculous you've had to wait though!

I don't post here much (as I'm a prospective Granny).. but I went to daughter's 20 weeks scan to day and she's having a little chap. she's so pleased as she wanted a boy... all is good and she's measuring 20 weeks 3 days (prospective due date 22nd September) :)

Congrats on the boys kcjc and grannyw!

kanga i hope you're not too tired after the night shift.

Had a call from my consultant today and he's sending me for another cervical scan. He's not worried at all about the length, but just wants to check it doesn't shorten a lot more i think. I don't mind - means I get to see bubs again, especially after my 20wk scan was cancelled (had consultant scan at 19wks instead) x
 
ah that's great crackers, that's good theyre keeping an eye on it all for you. nice that you get to see baby again as well, yay!

Eek! Scan day tomorrow :) it's at 9:30am so hopefully I can update before lunchtime. Hoping to stay team yellow still :) xx
