I have been itchy for a few night snow but last night and then all today has been driving me absolutely crackers!!! I am calling midwife tomo. Didn't know about teh tiredness or hotness either which I have had in the past week really badly but could be coincidence.

Go to hospital. I had OC in my pregnancy and went to hospital in the evening and I had the results first thing next morning. The sooner you get it checked out the better.

Just called the hospital and she said to come in for blood tests and then I said I can;t get there until my partner is back at half 6 and can take me and she said "Oh...but I leave in 2 hours...Can you call me if you are gonna be later than that?" Surely time doesn't affect it??? I am worried I will get there and no one will know who I am as she said she will remember my name as office was locked and she couldn't write it down :/

Got back from hospital about an hour ago. Blood tests are showing my platelet count is still dropping which they now wanna definitely keep tabs on and same with my iron but they have given vitamins for that. They said if itchiness is still happening in a weeks time I need to go back for more blood tests. Lots and lots of tests coming up then. Still really itchy! And now worried about the decreasing platelet count. :/

Sorry to hear it wasn't better news but at least you have some answers and they are aware of it and will keep an eye on you! Hope it all settles down for you.. I had the itch for months and I know how bad it can be xx

Yeah I am glad they can monitor it and know about it now. Just hoping they don't drop any more. At the moment the platelet count is 110 when should be between 150-400. And previous test was 135 so they have dropped. But I read up on a few sites and apparantly if they drop below 100 that is when they will have to monitor a lot more closer and possibly keep me in hospital and induce depending how low they get. But some poor woman had said hers was at 6!!!!! and she wasn't allowed to even get up from the bed as a slight knock could cause internal bleeding So FX that it doesn't go that low lol. Still itching like mad but at least they have been made aware of it now so I can go in and they will know what I am on about if I need to go back in a weeks time lol. xxx

Blimey that must be horrible to be bed bound like that! You're in safe hands and they are aware of you so you know if it gets worse you'll get the treatment you need try and relax hun I know it's hard

Yeah feeling better that it is all written in my notes as well so that if I go in at any time they will be able to see and can monitor everything. Not long to either so it won't be so bad (hopefully lol).

You sound alot happier now hun I hope things settle down for you.. I didn't have OC but I had unbearable itchy skin keeping me up all night from your stage.. Had to have an epidural in the end due to induction (non itch related) and I got the itch skin side effect lol! And coz ur body is numb you can't actually feel it when you scratch! Such a weird feeling! Good luck hun xxx

Thank you The itching has actually been a lot better...it is only when I think about it that I notice I am itching more. Sleeping a lot better atleast when I am not icthing as much...phew! lol. xxx

Ah that's great! Fingers crossed it backs off now! My advice would be to sleep as much as u can when you can! Even in the middle of the day lol!

Ladies ive been gettong really really itchy calfs!
Also itchy fingers, arms and feet bit its mainly my calfs or around my knees.

No rash just mega itchy!!

Should i mention this to MW??? Xx
