for everybody that doesnt know what they are having and doesnt want know.
dont you just hate it when they all start moaning
-"how can you not want 2 know??"
-"how boring!!!"
-"people wont know what to buy you!!!"

they are all idiots if u ask me!! i think its so much more exciting not knowing. they really annoy me

I get it the other way and it drives me mad too! "Oh you found out - you have ruined the surprise, its much more exciting not knowing!". Its up to me if i want to know or not! Sometimes people make me want to scream! Just joining in your rant - he he xxx

I loved being team yellow with lacey!! It was such a lovely suprise when I gave birth!! I would've had a suprise this time too but found out due to financial reasons!!

I am team yellow and i have had a mixed response. At the end of the day its up the inidividual and people wanna but out!! xxx

I've always been team yellow and this pregnancy will b no different...wot annoys me is that bps I've got 3 boys every1 assumes I want a girl...I'm honestly not bothered either way...asking as I have my baby in my arms il b happy xx

I have the opposite problem. I am sick of being told it would have been more exciting not to know that I've ruined it and spoilt the experience. This really really pisses me off! How dare someone tell me that it'd be more exciting to not know it makes no difference to my excitement level, nothing in the world could make this experience more special and the only thing that spoils my experience is ignorant over opinionated people telling me that it's ruined and not exciting now. I wish people would learn to keep their mouths shut and opinions to themselves. If you don't like someone's choice then keep it to yourself. I'm so annoyed by stuff like this.

I am also the opposite... "oh i can't believe your going to spoil it and find out... you waited this long, why cant you just wait?" gggrrrrr... sounds like we cant do right for doing wrong! As long as your happy tell the rest to poke it!

I agree, I have had lots of ignorant people telling me that I've ruined the surprise for myself.....er no, I've had my wonderful surprise at my 20 week scan and it was a perfect time for me to find out.

My general response to those folk is "When it's your turn, you do what you want and don't find out- this is my turn and I'm perfectly happy with my decision and don't have one shred of regret that I found out"

I can't agree enough Mel. I can see it when people ask and I tell them I want it to be a surprise like I've just come out of the dark ages or something. They don't seem to get it that as long as baby is healthy it doesn't matter.

Don't ket the ticker fool you btw I just like the colour :)

they shud all keep their annoying opinions 2 them selves ay.

o god i just rememebered i'll tell u all about my blonde moment.
i was in an indian restruant a few weeks ago and we had been waiting ages the so i was straving and alls i coulkd think about was food. the lady next to me said

I get exactly the same, "You found out? Oh nooooooo!" *look of sympathy*

right well, thanks for that, Im off to speak to someone who can be positive about my pregnancy and birth.

Im afraid you will never win with people, they will always say the opposite to what you want to hear. There are only two ladies at the playgroups I go to who tell me I have a lovely bump - off topic sorry - but I know what you mean about the sex thing; why do people think they have a right to question the decisions you make? Grrr!

i just think generally people need to find out, opposite thing to u mel_ed, did find out and apparently ive ruined the suprise buts it my choice and i love knowing! thankgod people on here understand and respect other peoples opinions xxx

Yep i have had the same mainly but some have been supportive of team yellow saying that it will be a nice surprise at the end of it!!! Thing is there is no other way of them knowing what we're having and it probably fustrates them!!

I have a way to go until that happens, but unfortunetly me and hubby are in different teams! I don't wanna know, but he does. He'll probably end up getting his own way, as usual :p

NNNOOOO!!! dont let him. i'm glad i didnt find out now so much more exciting. but like we are saying its ur choice at end of day. i'm contradicting my own thred here lol

Oh Mel you made me laugh with your tikka massala story!

I agree I am going to stay on team yellow, (just hope I can hold out and not cave in at 20 weeks!)
I had team yellow with my first and team blue and team pink with my others, so back to team yellow, as I don't care what it is as long as it's a healthy baby ! People should respect your descisons, they are not part of your family!

Hiya :)

I have to admit that i am feeling rather frustrated with my pregnant friend at the moment.

We have been talking about her scan dates and what sex she wants and names then she found out what she is having... but it is suddenly a secret for only her and her partner to know!!

I think's it's great if people want a surprise, just don't let people impress upon you what sex they bet it is.

My sister in law didn't find out but she let slip she would prefer a boy and by her due date everyone including mummy and daddy were sure it was a boy.

They put on a smile when it came out a girl, but there was a very awkward silence for a few moments
