Omg!!!!!!

OH nearly dropped Seb!!!! Tomorrow is off (OH was supposed to have Seb to himself tomorrow for father/son bonding time) big time!

OH decided to get up at 4.30 this morning for reasons only known to himself! Anyway, we were sat downstairs at 10 am and OH had hold of Seb, giving him his bottle. Seb was gazing at me so I was chattering to him and suddenly he jerked! OH had only drifted off and nearly dropped Seb (it was the kind of jerk you do when you're drifting off to sleep and feel like you're falling)!

I am less than impressed! Especially since he also fell asleep on couch holding Seb on Saturday! Good job I was there! I now officially no longer trust my OH!!!!!

demba fell asleep wit noa on the sofa before once, i didnt have a go just said if your that tired ill take him... i dont trust oh 100% with noa wich is horible!

I think that's fully normal to feel like that, especially now you've witnesses it! I'd be exactly the same if my oh had near misses. Men are a bit rubbish aren't they! X

i triped in flat last week holding daisy fell into the wall and luckily way i was holding her in crock of arm i had a free hand to stop myself but still cried thinking what if she had been over my shoulder id have never stopped her flopping back scared shit out of me tbh

im lucky in a sense being single i dont have to share i dont know how you girls do it!

I hate lee fallin asleep with Drake! He's a really heavy sleeper and I don't trust him to wake up if anything happens!

I'm worse than OH!! Like Lisa, I fell yesterday holding charley but fell on my knees so I wouldn't hurt or drop charley. I had a bad gash and lump appear on my leg but was more upset about nearly hurting charley than hurting myself! I've also fallen asleep while feeding him and jerked awake! I hate night feeds

If people don't mean to do it I don't see the point in getting worked up about it. I've had so many near misses with liv it's stupid but no ones ever dropped her. I dunno its hard to explain! I know I'd be a bit upset but I wouldn't say the person couldn't have their day with her x

I fell asleep once too!! Frightened the life out of me! Luckily haven't done it since!

I sleep with Seb but not while holding him.

I do see that I sound like a bitch saying I don't want him having his day but I was nervous anyway as if Seb is crying OH gets upset and hands him straight to me and now I'm even more nervous. Also he rarely chats to Seb so I worry he will get ignored. Right now I'd rather not take the chance with my baby.

I know what you mean Hun. Lee isn't exactly brilliant at Reading what Drake needs. He'll be glued to the telly sometimes and I have to tell him to sort the baby out as he's starting to cry on his lap. He more or less expects the baby to sit quiet on his lap when he's got him..frustrating sometimes! I guess no-one is in tune more with a baby than the mother eh! I think the more they have them the better they'll get..that's my theory anyways lol

I can understand why your annoyed with oh and i feel us mummy's don't and wont trust anybody 100% with are babies/kids, but to be honest I've fallen asleep with my baby i think a lot of us have............. it is very scary when it does happen. I hope your oh manages to gain your trust a little again. x

I not only worried about OH dropping or falling with Tristan but I'm terrifed if i drop or fall. Im that scared to walk down the stairs with him because he's such a wriggler i dont like walking up the steps or stairs.
I dont worry about other people dropping him just myself and hubby.
Hubby hasn't fell asleep with LO prob because ive drummed into his head that im worried incase he falls asleep with him in the on the sofa.

Hubby doesnt always bond with LO much he will say the odd hello an pick him up when i ask him to sort lil man out. When Tristan smiles his dads smiles back and makes me think that when LO is older OH will bond with him more I dont understand why he doesnt seem to bond much probrably because he cant say Daddy or something but when hes starts being more active etc I think hubby will have more bonding time with Tristan. I hope that is anyways lolx

Men are funny things! my oh was never around much due to work with my older three and has struggled to get close to them. Its only becuse he works from home that he spends more time with them. He has been much better with sarah cos hes here more! she smiles at him and coos when hes there - but to be fair he doesn't have a clue! Thats just how we are though i do the babies he works and provides nicely for us.

On the dropping front he wouldn't drop her cos he doesn't hold her much but i won't have her in bed with us because he is such a deep sleeperand i wouldn't trust him! But my daughter dropped her about 4 weeks ago, luckily she is short and was sitting and it was onto a rug. She was more upset than babe so no harm done. I don't allow her to carry her anymore and if she holds her i sit her right back on the sofa and she says if she is finding her heavy. I'm sure oh will be fine for a day sometimes we just have to trust that they will be fine, easier said than done when they are so small though x

Oh honey! It didn't come across like that I just thought I did sound a bit of a bitch! It's just I was so upset and scared about it! We talked and he's going to have Seb tomorrow morning and will come home (he's off to his parents house whilst they're at work) at 12! I'm still worried and I keep saying, 'if he's unsettled or you feel tired then come home' and 'don't fall asleep with him'! Lol!

You've just described my OH perfectly!!!! That's it exactly and my goodness it frustrates the heck out of me! I don't know how he can sit there and, in my eyes, ignore our son! Then he wonders why Seb looks for me and cries at him!
