Nuchal scan tomorrow & hopefully last day in Tri1 *Updated with pic!*

Eeeeek! I'm scared! Can't wait to see baby again (I am now calling bump Sam as I love it so much but hubby won't have it for baby - boo!) but just hoping & praying little Sam is ok.
If all is good with my dates too then I'll be due to head over to Tri2 - yehaa! Honestly, Tri1 has gone so fast, can't believe I'm 13+1...

Hi Jenny,
I am just behind you at 13 weeks today.
Is this your second scan? What exactly will they be checking tomorrow at the nuchal scan?
I had a scan at 11+1 and then blood tests the following day (get results at my next doctor's appointment on the 15th Feb).
I live in Spain, so I'm going through this in the spanish language, and although I do speak spanish, I still feel sometimes that I might be missing subtle things and also the system is a little different here.

Hi Almeria,
They'll be doing the normal dating bit then also checking the fold in baby's neck & taking blood to determine if there is a risk of Downs. Hoping that we are low risk as we are both quite young.

i dont think i drank a pint and half, even though i was ment to, i just drank a small bottle of water on the way there and 2 plastic cups that i drank in the waiting room.. and mine seemed to come out clear!! but prob best to do as they say! oo ive got my consultant appointment at 11.15 so prob wont see how you got on till i get back...

I've seen baby Sam and he (or she, although I'm convinced it's a boy!) was very naughty! He wouldn't stay still & the sonographer said she was struggling to keep up with him! He kept doing roly poly's and this pic is of him on his belly Little tike x
