November 2020 Mummies

Hi, I am back after a spell away due to MC. Am currently 8 weeks and tentative due date 22nd Novemeber. Am constantly analysing my on off symptoms and driving myself Bananas. Hoping everyone here might be able to keep my mind at ease this time around . Congratulations on all your BFP. ❤️

Congrats and welcome, so sorry for your loss. Everything crossed for you this time round!

I'm super emotional, the clapping for the NHS gets me every time.

My nausea has gone weird, i was feeling sick from morning till night. Now it seems to be ok during the morning then It hits me
2-3pm ish and I feel so sick and struggle to eat my tea or anything light. Feels really acidy, I’m drinking milk loads on a night which strangely helps xx

Oh dear :( That sucks. At least you’re getting a brief respite in the mornings.

Also, tea! :D Are you northern too?

I have yet to see this as we live in the middle of fields and there's no clapping going on in our area! X

My nausea has always been worst in the morning. Its been really difficult getting going with out anything more than a cup of juice and some crackers.
It clears up by midday and after that I've been just ravenous.
The nausea has settled right down recently though. Is that normal once you get to week 11?

Ive had a but of pubic symphysis pain this week too.

The girls in the October group seemed to have their symptoms reduce around week 10/11. :)

I had a few weeks of nausea, probably between 7 and 10 weeks. It then pretty much disappeared and my appetite came back and I felt pretty much normal! So yes dont panic just enjoy feeling better!

This is asked alot but I was feeling really nauseous all week in week 6 and 7. Now I am in 8 I don't have any. I also had headaches and more sore boobs. Is it normal for them to settle around 8 weeks? I feel really full this week though but not as tired either. Should I contact the MW or am I being melodramatic?

Mine went away for two days and then came back worse. It seems like it can come and go. Maybe week nine you’ll feel worse again. Or maybe your body is coping better with the new hormones already :)

Yeah I read that too... Hoping so. Last time I had a MMC around time 9 weeks but wasn't detected till 12 +5, my symptoms became less but I didn't think anything of it at the time.. Will see how this week's goes. Thanks for the reassurance xx

There is a swishing sound which is the placenta then a fast beating sound. It beats really fast compared to a normal heartbeat xx

A fast heart beat is a great sign.

I read that a slow heart beat (lower than 90 beats per minute) is predictive of miscarriage.

A fast heart beat indicates a very good chance of a successful pregnancy going forward.

It all depends where baby is sitting really as its still too early to indicate things like that. Same when people say so many beats is a boy or girl but doesn't make a difference xx

The gender thing is definitely a myth!

But just like an adult has a normal range for their resting heart rate to sit in between children, babies and unborn babies also have an expected heart rate.

The heart rate is a good indicator of normal development (just like the crown to rump length or CRL is used to check for normal growth). I found it really reassuring to know that my baby's heart rate was on track after my first scan :).

Ah OK, he sounded good to me but I'm not an expert. Sounded like my DD not didn't hear her heartbeat till 16 weeks. It's only cause my neighbour/friend has a fetal doppler that i asked to borrow it, I wouldn't of bothered otherwise xx
