November 2018 Testing Thread

So I caved and tested this morning instead of the 5th as I've been feeling so bloated and weird past few days... my DH even encouraged me to test... and I'm only 11 or 12dpo but I'm starting off the November thread with an early BFP!!! I still can't believe it! Shaking as I'm posting this!

Thank you!!! I really hope it's a good sign and good luck for this month that the first BFP came so early! I wasn't sure if I should upload the photo here or not... but here it is!!

Also, Jellybean was asking how many days it takes to start showing symptoms... I know many don't show anything until after missed period, but I had VERY mild cramps (so mild that I could have imagined them to be honest) from around 5dpo, started feeling nauseous and constant bloating starting from 8dpo I think, unless I determined my ovulation wrong. My bloating is actually so bad that DH has been saying I have a "bump" for past few days... I know it's just gas, but since I'm so skinny, it's really showing quite a bit!

Thank you!! I was actually surprised to get a strong line, because last night I went to asda to get a FRER but they only had the Rapid Results ones, so I thought whatever I'll get it and it's going to be negative anyway. but a line showed up on it before I even managed to pull my pj bottoms back up! I've heard the rapid results ones aren't that sensitive, and pretty crap to be honest, so I think I've maybe got my ovulation wrong and I'm more than 11dpo?

Waiting for the next tester in November now!!

And Radley that sounds like a stressful but amazing day helping with the birth. And it sounds like you looked after the dad really well making sure he got to hold his new baby.

Radley, what a lovely job you have! I would love to follow a day on the maternity ward. It's funny how people "forget" the dad when the mom is rushed to the theatre. I obviously understand but I think they must feel so lost and confused at those moments.x

Yes it was, I feel guilty that it was only our first month TTC... and only having DTD once during fertile window, and once the week before. we don't see each other much as DH working different shifts, so that's all we managed.

You should never feel guilty. Everyone is different and it is amazing news! You must be super fertile and your OH must have super sperm lol.

Yes, first child also! After having conceived so easily, I'm very glad we were always so careful with birth control before...
