Night feeds

I've been doing the dummy thing in the night too, seems to be working!

Drake had 5oz at 8pm last night, gave him another feed at 10.30pm, he had 3oz and was too sleepy for any more. He woke at 12.50am but I kept putting the dummy in and he slept till 3.30am. Fed him, he took 4oz and went back down till 7! Happy with that! Now all I need is a strap on dummy haha!

my n noas rutine is
9.30 feed 1 boob - break for change n pjs n in to the bedroom where i feed him on the other boob
by 11 hes normally sleeping
2-2.30 noa wakes up, feed
5.30-6 feed
we then sleep to 10ish :yay:
hv wants me to wake him up every 3 hours as hhes not puttin on enough but when i did he was so tired he didnt eat! so night time i feed on demand n daytime i feed every 2-3 hour

i don't know how i survived the first 12weeks, Ethan would feed every 2 - 2 1/2 hours and at night the longest he would go is 3hours. He wouldn't take a dummy so it was very difficult! But i did survive lol. When he found his thumb it was the best thing ever xx

Ethan sounds like charley! I totally admire you as I'm bloody shattered already!!

It must be a boy thing! I really don't know how i done it, i used to have to take about 5 bottles up with me. Thats the only thing that puts me off having another baby! The only think i can say is that he will go longer eventually but if your feeling how i was that don't help AT ALL! really feel for you hun. I tried hungry baby milk at night, dream feeds the lot. xxx

I'm doing dream feeds and it's really helping. I used hungry baby with Lacey and it did nothing except make her constipated so don't wanna use that! The only thing keeping me going is knowing in afew months he will sleep through!

fingers crossed he does soon! I remember when he dropped just one bottle it was like heaven xx

Last night Seb went to bed at 7.30, slept until 11.30, had a feed and started stirring at 2.30 when I popped him in bed with me and he slept until 6! And mummy had.......1 hours sleep and threatened to suffocate OH for constant snoring!

I love the co-sleeping bit of the evening as I'm not afraid he won't sleep in his own cot (he does) and I love the closeness with him!

do they still do that night time milk think it was cow and gate monty was 6 months and not sleeping through so I started giving him a bottle of that its just for there last feed

Can you give hungry baby just for night time then?

Yes my hv said about it, just 1 bottle at the last feed if you switch completly it can make baby have terrible constipation. I tried i but for some reason made Ethan sick alot but may work for you :flower: xx

Omg!!!! 3 nights running!

I put her down at 10pm and it's now 6am and she is still sleeping!!! That's 8 solid hours!!!

Lanny you have changed my life! Xxxm

Woohoo! Well done Ella!

Thanks for that lauren, I might try that at night timers then. Drake is genuinly hungry when he wakes in the night.

He got fed at 8.50pm last nearly an hour earlier as he screamed blue murder for more! But after taking an hour for him to drop off he slept till 3am, had 4oz and up now for a feed. Not bad. If I can get him into an habit of going to bed earlier then I don't mind the 3am wake up calls! Seems like he's got into the habit of 10pm bedtimes though as he's wide awake till then!

Ok, all he's had is 2oz!! Now he is sleeping. How is only taking little bits when he wakes in the morning? He could really do without his nightfeed so he eats properly in the morning but he's too hungry to go without!

I too took the dummy advice lol and........ 8pm last night untl 7.08am 11 bloody hours!!!!! :D I know this is a one off though lol things like this never last pppffft!!! :)

If he goes to sleep at 10 why not dream feed at 12 - then he may wake at 3 but out of habit but you could just re settle him. Plus the hungry baby milk? Xxx

I tried the dummy trick this morning then relised he'd done a poo so had no choice but to get up! Lol

Seb did the same again last night, 11pm last feed until 6 this morning!

He always does a poo at between 7am and 8am for me! Lol!

He's currently in his cot ready for nap time but whether he'll sleep (he's awake but tired) is another matter.
