Becky - i have a sweep for 2moro and theyll book an inudction date then too. the only day that baby cannot come is 2moro because i have nobody to look after Rhys. so whats the bet that she'll turn up then!?

Agree about the sweep my next MW appointment is friday so if they do a sweep i'll only have the weekend because on Monday i'll be 42 wks.

OK, I have a confession...



Selfishly, I want all your babies to stay in your tums til I pop... That way I get to keep you all in tri3!!

Before I arrived in tri3 Tilly popped and I was gutted that I didn't get to spend any time with her as I really liked her from all her posts, then I arrive in tri3 and Sarah pops, someone else who I really really like! 1sttimemum is someone else I thought was lovely.. Then I start getting to know more people and I really warm towards Julie, and she pops...

Basically girls, if you want your babies out, make me like you! Entertain me or something LOL!!!

In all honesty though, I've really warmed to all the ladies about to pop! Tezzy (I think she's funny!) Suzie, so sweet, Keli (we've given each other support about our situations in the past) and so many more!!

Stay here - please?!

Well....nothing much to report for me today...just a few slight period pains but Lo is still quite high! I have MW tomorrow so I'm looking forward to hearing what she has to say.

awww hun dont be scared the sweep is just like having your smear test a bit uncomfotable but it dosnt hurt at all and dosnt take to long to do either. im sure you will be fine and i have my fingers crossed for you that it works

i am tempted to call midwife and ask if i can have a sweep sooner than thursday as im getting myself worked up about being induced

i'll be a week over tomorrow, i have 2 due dates lol 27th and 28th, doc said one, scan person said another

my only worry is that i dont have a sweep til thurs and then possibly another sat then that only gives me til monday 2 get things started b4 im induced

if a sweep is goin 2 work how long after it do things normally start?

No idea how long they take..I wouldn't mind finding out tho..I'm already planning how mine is going to work out.

If I have to have a sweep they do them when you are 1 week over here, but the MW app are on a tues so I'll be 40 + 9 (same as you) when I have one-can they do them earlier if you ask? Cos that'd give me 3 days until they'd induce me!

I really think it depends on how favourable your cervix is also, and hiw effaced it is.

Back from my sweep.. MW couldn't do it she said my cervix was just off to left so she couldn't reach! But she said she could feel babies head and my cervix was stretchy so that good. She also informed me that i don't have to be induced if i don't want to they will monitor every 2 days after 42 wks and if me and baby ok then it fine. Had a look at pool and the room was lovely no-one else was there.. gutted really i wasn't in labour as i would have had them all too myself feel alot more positive than i did this morning and don't feel as nervous about everything. Baby will come when he's ready not when i am! Thats not to say i'm still not trying to get him out just going to take my dog for a hike see if thats kicks anything off xx
