My labour watch thread - he is here :D Birth story in the labour section!

Jayceesmumma yeah I know! And we will need to think about contraception again - nightmare! I think my husband and I are very likely to forget about contraception, we are so used not to worry about it! That wouldn't be very clever, would it...

If only there was a way that LO could tell u when they are going to come?! I mean, all these signs and then it fizzling out into nothing is quite hard to keep dealing with in a way! I know some people find the not knowing exciting but I am very impatient at the best of times and a control freak.....the not knowing is really starting to get to me but I am trying to do my best to be patient and wait for my little man to make his exit! lol xxxx

well they do tell us - that is, to our bodies, and that's what triggers the labour. So it's a shame that our bodies cannot actually explain what's happening to our brains if you know what I mean :)

lol :D I guess that's also an extreme version of contraception :)

I don't think I could handle another pregnancy like this  it's annoying coz I have pcos (that clearly doesn't affect my fertility) and the only way to manage it is to go on the pill which I can't have due to migraines and risk of stroke.. I know there are many options, but they freak me out like the coil and implant.. Foreign object in my body.. can't do it! We can't use condoms either so I don't know what we r gonna do lol!!

I was on the pill before, but can't have that when BF as far as I know.......so if I end up BF gonna have to have a re-think on that front!

U really have limited options done u JM? What about implant? I know what u mean about coil etc and I feel the same! xx

I'm thinking coil as i've suffer with migraines too so pill not really an option. cant do the implant as dont like needles !!!(i know i have tatoos but that doesnt look like a needle ) and dont fancy have it cut out !!! have told oh he could have the snip and he doesnt seem too adverse to the idea !!! xxx

No way.. Implant is a foreign object!! And u can feel it under the skin and everything :puke: I dont know what we can do.. It's not like I can work out when I ovulate and just dont do it then.. Coz I have v irregular cycles due to pcos..
Defo gonna have to ask someone about it all after baby!

I really dont like the idea of the inplant !!! friend has the coil and seems to get on with it still a forgein object though !!! although u dont feel it !!! will have to do some serious thinking too !!! xxxx

Heard so many horror stories about the coil I could never do it!! I can't even use tampons

Looks like your OH is having a versectomy then?!..........xx

Lol I doubt it.. This will be his first and I'm sure he won't want it to be his last!

more babies for Jayceemumma then !!!!! i'm going to work on oh to get the snip !!! he keeps saying this is the last one !!! xxx

I haven't really thought about it yet, but you girls got me thinking... I guess I'll need to talk to my mw or something later.

I think we might go for condoms, but they break too often :( Implants and coils sound too scary for sure!

Back on the pill for me :( It worked well for five year until i stopped it but its such a pain in the arse... read that they are bringing out a male pill (some mag at the hospital) so i will put OH on that lol x

redbear I've heard that a few years ago, but still don't know anyone who would actually have men pill... :)

I was also on pill for ages. I think a bit too long... Not sure I want to do it again.
