That's exciting hun....all sounding good for kick off soon!......My MW made my 39 week appointment with me when I had my 37 week check and said LO may be here by then......I'm still waiting.....appointment is friday! ..........I've had the pain in lower tummy/top of leg and I think it's just coz they are near a bundle of nerves that travel through there........sometimes have it one leg, sometimes the other and very occassionally both!

Keep us updated of any signs! xxx

mum2b410 yeah I guess it could be nerve endings! I could hardly walk for a couple of minutes - every step was painful, but the feeling disappeared fast xx

Once my LO fully engaged the pain at the top of my legs disappeared, it was really strange, now i just get pain at the front(which I think is my spd) and constant pressure and headbutts on my cervix, which is very very uncomfortable when im sitting or standing so im hoping she is stretching everything down there.
How are your pains today? x x

Sorry for late reply hun, I only said about going overdue cuz thats according to statistics with first babys I really dont want to because I dont wanna be induced. I know this sounds bad but I've had loads of stuff over the last few weeks (period pains, loads of dc, BH's, back pain, feeling sick, loose bowels etc etc) and obviously it gets my hopes up... then nothing Just want her to come out now, feel so geared up for it and I'm so excited to have her out and finally meet her that I'm getting impatient.... even though I'm not even due for another 2 weeks My MW keeps dashing my hopes too when I ask does it look as if things are moving along, she just laughs and tells me not to count on a first baby being early or on time xx

My back is a bit better thanks - I think all those massages that my husband gave me yesterday might have helped. No more funny leg pains either... So everything is quiet here again

yeah I heard about the statistics... Oh well, we shall see!

are you trying to encourage LO to come out - I mean eating pineapples etc? I can't decide if I want to do this - I don't want to go overdue, but I know that the baby should trigger the labour himself when he is ready, so I guess it's not good to try to make him come out earlier than he wants to.

I know! I can't believe that I am 38 weeks already myself! Sounds crazy. It feels like I found out that I am pg only a month ago or so!

Erm not really I have eaten pineapples and had sex etc but not like obsessively if you know what I mean? Just when I want/feel like it. I dont believe in these old wives tales though to be honest. I agree with you, they just come when theyre ready and no amount of pineapples will force em out lol. MW said theres no harm in trying these myths cuz theyre natural so they wont do any harm and she said most of the time they dont really work anyway lol. x

I know i think ive only 14 weeks untill due date 12 if im induced early (i may have to be) but i remeber how fast the 12 and 20 week scan came around its no time at all!

Well I think sex can really work... The stuff in the sperm is the same stuff that the doctors use sometimes to get things going I believe? It helps to get things softer or smth like that Sorry can't remember now lol
