Loads say he looks like me with ginger hair LOL. This is why I get confused when people say Carter looks like me - Carter and Jackson are so different!

Its ok actually. FT with one was easy, but its the two I struggle with. I come home half 5 and by that point the house is a mess since they have been at home 2hr before me, the dinner is on way, they are crabby and tired then want me to sit down and play with them. So it is really tiring but I am getting used to it. I miss them loads, mainly Carter as I know hes at my mums, J is at school most of the day anyway.

I earn more than D so I kind of need to be the fulltimer. D has been putting me to shame keeping the house spotless after me moaning constantly its not as easy being at home more as he thinks. The first week me being back he did struggle though, he was super stressed as its complete role reversal but we are getting there. Just takes time.

xxxx

He does look so grown up, it does seen strange that they go back in August, I am not going to lie, I can't wait for my son to go back xx

Yeah, I always found it weird as a kid - Id always wish I was off same time as England but then you guys finish later in the year dont you?

Our term dates are basically from end of June to mid Aug, then we have September weekend, October week, Xmas (2 weeks), Easter (2 weeks) , summer (7 weeks) again - hence why 4w of my annual leave wont cover all the child care.

I am just glad my mum has a term time job.

xxxx

Yea I earn more too. But I'm looking to change job. I just need to magic another room into my house for next to nothing..... lmao

I would have had a break but in the NHS the banding I'm on is quite hard to come by. They moved alot of the same job I do to a lower band so I have to be careful as would risk dropping a pay scale of I left. Plus I get extra annual leave for continual service so would lose that too.

And above all else I'd miss the money. I was just over half pay on mat leave and I hated it.

I have parental leave and will be spending alot of the holidays with them as D can't take his annual leave as planned it's basically when he can get a week in.

This week was more successful. Ended the week with house tidy and washings done, classes done and homework done. The boys are at my mums tonight and D & I are watching the boxing tonight. Hopefully a chilled one.

Carter is cutting a molar. Already. Jesus wept.

xxxx

You wouldn't think it though... right?!

I had a day with Jackson at school on Thursday. Got to learn everything they will learn, how to assist at home and then got to sample the dinner menu. I had a salad given most I had no idea what I could have on my plan.

It was a brill day although this morning he half expected me to be going to school with him and not dropping him off at breakfast club.

Another successful week no issues and home work done.

I loved it Lisey, great wee day to get in and see what he does and things. We are struggling a little with writing - actually not too much now but at the begining we were, he grips the pencil a bit awkward still but he is left handed so kind of to be expected.

Ive gotten him new little pencils, but in the meantime they mentioned at the info day to get like a tray and spinkle some hot choc on and practice writing letters in that or forming them with pasta tubes - its all about the formation. Found that a good wee tip.

He always keeps scrunching his face now for pics! Its school photo day today and I just hope that isnt the face I've got!

Aww bless him, sometimes the funny school pics are better, we have had some crackers over the years

Yes hot chocolate, paint, sand, anything that they can make marks in, its more fun too. We did lots of that when i worked in early years, they weren't all forming letters as some were very young but they loved it. We used cars that they could roll around to form letters, make marks etc. Not sure if they would want him to use his fingers only though if its to improve writing xx

Maybe use a paintbrush In the powder? My son still strugglea with writing and yeas gotta love the scrunched up faces lol x

So sorry about the MC Hun just seen this :( your little ones are so cute and growing up so fast!! Love the pics x hope u r ok xx

Hey all

Been ages since I've been on. Been drowned lately mostly work gym and home. Got the school holidays coming up and I'm excited to be off lol.

Had a new coil inserted a few month ago that seems fine although hate the hormonal aspect. Not really had time to go over feelings I guess I'm fine?

Jackson is getting on great at school. Reading is fantastic and writing coming on a treat. He will be attending nurture sessions to help with his social and emotional building and I'm quite excited about that as he has always been needing a bit more focus on those areas and as a parent there is only so much I can do. But here's hoping he comes out of his wee shell and stops the tears and tantrums soon. He has gotten better so far. He had a fall a few weeks ago bashed his tooth (again) so that's been knocked back a bit but nothing serious just bruising thankfully although I'm worried for adult teeth. He always smacks that mouth when he falls. Dunno how he manages it lol. He had his school picks. Had lots of spots post cold and luckily not too bad although now have scabbed over. Drs on mon I think.

Carter is just plodding on. Tolerating small amounts of dairy and is beginning to take that leap and try stepping. He's only managed two here n there and he has stood up by himself a couple times. Where has my wee baby went? He copies quite alot and if he doesn't manage the word he copies the sound. He finds himself rather funny doing that lol. Cannot believe he is 1 next week. Wtf?!

Both boys getting on good. Still the usual sibling rows over select toys but equally Jackson is quite happy to share on occasion and has improved through school and nurture group so theyr getting on fab.

I completed my second plan so have now lost 2.5 stone. 11lb from the second package. Feeling like I've lost enough so have dropped classes and am now doing 2 classes and 2 gym days. Probably at the end of this package I'll look to drop classes and just have like 2 gym days and a class on that day to maintain but focus this package is toning. So weights it is.

You look amazing!! I need to get toning, your pics make me feel I need to push myself. Have lost over 2 stone since having Sophie but I was smaller than this before and way more toned. I must do it!! You sound like you have put a lot of work into it and dedication, I need some motivation!!

So glad the boys are doing well, the nurturing sessions sound fab. We think Sophie has a milk protein allergy as comes out in a rash and is sick when has formula (have only tried a couple of times as I breastfeed) Is that what Carter has? Or is it lactose? My understanding is that they usually grow out of it? Xx

Hey hunni

Thank you! I have been trying, although this time been so much more relaxed now that I am at a size I am happy with. Could obv be doing with more tone but we are never happy. So we will see what we get at end of 10w. 2st is brilliant hun! For me the gym is my escape!

Yeah its a cows milk protein allergy he has - although he is growing out of it. I don't think he could tolerate like a glass or bottle of milk but hes had pizza for dinner, he has biscuits, butter, things containing dairy but not like macaroni cheese etc :p

Could be a milk allergy, or even an intolerance. Do you consume a lot of dairy? Babies can be sensitive or intolerant too. Does the rash happen immediately after eating and sickness or does it happen following having milk? Could be a lactose intolerance although lactose is a lot less common but you could try her with a lactose free formula or even the Coleif or Lactase drops for the milk? That may help.

We have used coconut milk from 6m so anything that youd use dairy for ie porridge, cereal and other cooking we used the coconut milk and eventually he will go on to that although not yet as the coconut milk has less calories and nutrients than the specialist Neocate milk hes on.

If you need any help with what milks give me a wee PM. If you are looking to mover her its perhaps worth a GP appointment before (take pics of her face/reactions) and perhaps suggest even trying Aptimil Pepti which is the first stage non dairy milk. It has a small amount of dairy hydrolyzed finely so that the body doesn't recognize the milk as an allergen. After that is Nutramigen which again is a hydrolyzed milk so just broken down so make it easier for re-introduction. Then you get your amino acid milks which is what we are on. But Id deffo try approach it even if its something you arent seriously looking into atm, as there are so many people fight for a diagnosis and help for it.

I genuinely used to think CMPA symptoms would never end, so glad its a dark distant memory now.

Thanks so much for the info. She is breastfed so not so much of an issue but obv have to be careful with some baby food as contains milk.
The rash and sickness is pretty much instant. I have taken pics and am you g to go to doctors. On the phone they said they think milk protein allergy and will give special milk.
I didn't think of coconut milk so that's another good tip :) xx

So we can tolerate may contains. I found out in this process that any food product unless made in a specific allergen free factory is a may contain. They cannot ever be sure that there wont be a cross contamination of the allergen. At first we totally avoided all may contains but then as a first food we were advised to start baby rice but all of them were a may contain. Organix does not display it on the box which is a nightmare, so if your going to be really strict you have to look beyond the packaging sometimes, which is hard until you know what to get. We had organix once and his skin was awful on it and he just hated it. I just used the flavoured Ella's Kitchen baby rice with the KOKO milk. His formula has some coconut aspect to it so we just stuck with the coconut over the soya - plus the soya looks a bit yellowy and thicker, his formula is proper white and thin so wanted something quite similar to make the transition a bit easier. But yeah no issues with certain may contains, so it is really your luck but also if she isn't sensitive enough to react through your breast milk id be inclined to say she will be able to have may contains. Ella's kitchen for baby food is quite good, we just stuck to the fruit/veg pouches. Ella's kitchen also have a site that you can go on and chose like age range then whatever you want it without ie milk and itll give you a list of the dairy free products.

And for further down the line, nursery etc if she is struggling with it - you can get her a little bib to remind everyone that she is dairy free! :p

xxxx

She doesn't react at all to me having dairy which the doctors find odd. I gave her may contain milk porridge the other day ( have weaned early) and no reaction at all.
Is the aptimil pepti the same as what doctor would prescribe?
The bib is a great idea, I do hope she grows out of it eventually xx
