Hi Girls,

Here's how my appointment went.

My doc is very nice, very reassuring and I can tell everything he says makes complete sense.

Firstly I'm not a recurrent miscarriage case, my pregnancies are biochemical, they try to implant and then fail, he thinks the most logical/likely reason is in my uterus not hormonal.

I'm booked in for a hysteroscopy next Friday and if there's something that needs treating I'll have an operation soon and if not then its on to more hormone tests.

I've not got PCOS and my progesterone needs to be done a few times a cycle to give a more accurate picture.

My advice to anyone who has the NHS sending them round in circles is don't wait around, I've wasted a year on them now and wish I'd gone private much sooner.

xx

great news, i knew it was an implantation problem! really hope you get this sorted asap xxx

btw i meant great news it went well with the doc..not great news that its an implantation problem :oooo: xxx

I really hope you get your sticky bean very soon, its good that you are happy with the doctor as well. I went private quite quickly as well and dont regret it at all! Good luck for next Friday!

Aww hun glad you are finally getting things sorted xxx

Great that you had such a positive appointment, another step closer to that Velcro bean xx

That's sounds like a great appointment to me :)

Everything clear cut and right to the point and you know what is happening and when.

So what does he think might be wrong with your uterus and what is he expecting to find on the hysteroscopy? Should removal be a solution to it?

I'm so relieved for you. At least you wasn't jerked around :good:

Brilliant news, sounds like your appointment went great. Really hope this is the start of you getting your very stick bean xx

Thanks Girls!

Lol Pos I knew what you meant.

Lou- He's taking about things like adhesions, he was describing them as have clingfilm in the way, also he talked about fibroids and septums but I think from my scan I should be ok on that front.

I asked why he didn't do a HSG at the same time and he didn't think it was necessary as he's confident my tubes are clear.

I also have a colposcopy on Tuesday, next weeks gonna be fun! Good to get it all out of the way though I guess.

xx

maybe, when i went for my colposcopys they mentioned some adhesions to me, i wish i had kept my letters now as there is a name for it! might not be in the same place as your doctor is thinking but could be worth asking at your appointment whether they see anything.

i was reading and was going to send this message and then at the end you said you are booked for colposcopy next tuesday, could be good timing! xx

il try and look up what they called it on my letters xx

Just what you needed someone to be honest and get you going in the right direction. I'm absolubtley positive that you will get this fixed and get your baby much waited for baby .

So glad it went well maybe! Private makes such a difference, he really seems like he knows what he is on about!x

Thats fantastic news Maybe. I look forward to seeing some uber positive posts from you :)

How much does it cost to go private if anone doesnt mind me asking?

xxxx

Thanks girls!

Pos, I had an ectopy at my last colposcopy but I had it treated so it should be all nice and new when I go on Tuesday, I think adhesions are where you body heals itself and its a bit like scar tissue.

Chaz, my consultation was £125 for 1/2 an hour and my hysteroscopy is about £450.
Do you live in the lakes as my Doc is in Manchester as well as London, he's the director of North West Fertility.

Glad they are helping you out hun.

I'm inclined to agree with the doc about your tubes, if the egg is being met by sperm (i.e. you get far enough for HCG to be detectable in your urine) then that's not likely to be a cause for concern.

Hope everything goes well at the next apt

Lxx
