May mummies and rainbows to be :)

Omg that not nice. And not what you need when pregnant mote stress! Do they know your pregnant? I would contact the midwife or gp and ask for the swab test to see if you are OK. It shouldn't affect healthy babies and pregnant people but with your cold I'd double make sure. All I can see about risks is that it can be passed to baby at birth but can't see anything about before its born so that's a plus x x

I am trying to sleep on my side, I have a preg pillow but I keep waking up on my back! I am going to wedge another pillow there I think.
Gesic, I would contact the midwife just for peace of mind really. If you feel you need a bit of time off then speak to the doctor, I am sure they would sign you off, even if its just a week to de-stress xx

thanks both, have read similar but was unsure. Calmed down a little, will try midwife tomorrow but have to go in early so being off isn't an option. x

Lol small world!

So I've just majorly failed on finding any bigger bras to contain this bust of mine but I did succeed on finding the nighty I was wearing when giving birth to my son.

Speaking of bras. Can anyone recommend where they got a good supportive one from? Mine are like too big huge heavy melons!! I need scaffolding!! Xx

I'm now nicely filling out a b-cup! Woohoo!

Don't think I'll ever need scaffolding!

XX

My students all think I'm in my early 20s, and most were surprised when they found out I was pregnant. They all thought I was rather young. I've been asked for ID to buy alcohol at a corner shop after hockey- look real young in my kit. But I know I don't look that young. I may not look 35, but I don't see how people think I'm about 22.

Gesic, you have every right to be signed off. Thankfully my workplace has been great. I even had a meeting with our health and wellbeing manager where we discussed how I was getting on, especially in regards to stress, and encouraged to asked for help when needed, from having someone watch my class so I can step out to needing time off, if it gets to that. If you feel you need time away, I'd encourage you to seek it. Any time off for the pregnancy can't be used against you for performance management . Hope things get better for you!

Nikki I love the name you have chosen, is that a definite or a short listed name? I can't believe so many of you are agreed on names, I have a feeling we are going to be one of those couples who have an unnamed baby for weeks after they are born!

Leigh I love Oliver and Willow. My flu jab didn't hurt but I did get a huge lump on my arm afterwards and couldn't sleep on it for a week! I've never had the flu and I think my body thought WTF is this?!

I also like to sleep on either my front or my back. I can't sleep on my side at all, my boobs are too big and it hurts my back. I'm sort of sleeping on my front but twisted a bit so I'm not fully on my front if that makes sense.

Lisey those are nice and jazzy, you are right I do indeed like the green and blue ones :)

I've also not seen my actual midwife yet, I think I should do in Jan but who knows.

I think it's a definate lol its the name I've always wanted if I managed to have a girl and had my heart set on it and luckily oh likes it too

should I be worried I'm not really feeling any movements yet? I know I have an anterior placenta from my private scan but I felt them so early with my youngest :(

If you have anterior placenta then that is going to cushion any movements. I wouldn't be worried. My movements are still not that strong, if placenta was in front, I doubt I would feel them xx

lisey I can't believe your 19 weeks tomorrow already! one more week to go :)

Yeah mine are really faint too so I wouldn't be worried nikki x
I can't help with the recommendations unfortunately I'm well and truly out my biggest which is a D. I think I'm maybe or nearly upto an E? I keep feeling a tingly feeling in my boobs and they go hard for a day or two then they seem to calm down. But when they do they seem bigger. I don't know where in going to end up. I was an A cup when I met hubby a B edging a C 18 months ago!

I am a very small B cup. Nothing much is happening boob-wise.

Has anyone had random shooting pains in the vagina?

Oooooo foof daggers yep! Definitely experienced those lovelies lol.
I do get pgp/spd which can cause them sometimes I get random ones when moving quick or sneezing. I had a stupid sneeze this morn that made hubby giggle when he was doing a very delicate paint job lol. I basically sneezed pulled a muscle in my groin and made the weirdest sounds ever lol

What's pgp/spd? So they're normal - that's good! I had quite a few last night.

It's way past my bedtime....

Nikki, I know. 19 weeks. It's unbelievable. Almost half way :)
I don't know what I am going to do about these boobs. I bent over to pick something up earlier and I swear I nearly did a roly poly because I am so top heavy lol. My frame is actually really small (even though it doesnt look it atm) so I am feeling the aches in the back a bit now. I am going to go to M&S tomorrow and find a granny bra with scaffolding lol. I wish they weren't so big as I feel they are making me look even bigger than I am. I was a slim size 10 before, even an 8 on top and now I just look like a lump! I am very self-conscious xx
