****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

Durham, I get BH alot, most days actually I find if I dont drink enough the are worse apparently its good to tone uterus but still not the pleasent!!

Jessie nothing is silly to moan about my love, its what we are all here for, I know i moan alot haha but its better than nagging my OH i guess :) I'd probably sleep/watch movie/crochet

Afternoon all, I had my consultant appointment this morning. 1hr and 45 min wait for a 10 minute appointment, absolute waste of time! She felt my tummy, listened to baby, and said if I get more bleeding to go back to the assessment unit! She did book me a growth scan for 28 weeks though, and I am still midwife led.

My OH was snuggled up to me in bed last night, I was asleep in seconds but he said he had his hand on my tummy and could feel baby moving for ages. I was oblivious but it's lush that he had some bonding time with baby! So cute.

Hope everyone has a good Friday!

Mayflower, that's really frustrating...obviously their time is more important than yours!! Good to know that she wasn't concerned though :) and how sweet was it for your OH to have some private time with baby :):)

Jessie, I was awake for ages last night as baby was having a party in my belly! It seems to start late at night. Let's hope the baba doesn't carry on this habit after birth haha

Well I had a really crappy start to the day. It's get a bit better since this morning. Freckle having a good old wriggle always cheers me up :)

Ooh maternity assistant called and all arranged fgoing to hae a look round the ward at the hospital we're going to be going to. I'm so glad they suggested arranging it for us as i do think it'll help a lot.

This afternoon i can't decide if i've got stomach gurgles (feel like that but no sound) or if she's having a little play about.

Mayflower my consultant always seems to run behind and im left waiting to see her and my appointments only last minutes, it's very frustrating. My consultant has never even examined my tummy or listened to babies hearts. Glad your oh had some baby bonding time it sounds lovely. My babies are always really active at night also its like there nocturnal but my son was the same and he was always a good night sleeper from when he was born until he was a toddler that's when he started to wake frequently throughout the night. But he has eventually started to sleep through in his own bed all night recently! One thing I've realised this week and quite proud of is he is completely dry day and night now. I stopped using bedtime nappies on him around 3 months ago and we had a couple of accidents in the middle of the night but for a whole month he hasn't had any accidents day or night! I thought the day would never come so I might treat him to a special tea and a well done present tonight! Xxx

Aww well done to your son Casey! My toddler is being a nightmare today. As he's not confined to a cot he decided he would sooner play than sleep this nap time. After an hour I gave up and bought him downstairs for lunch, then took him back up after less than a third of a sandwich as he was ratty and rubbing his eyes. An hour and a half later he is still awake! I've put him back in bed over 6 times now. At over three hours later than normal he is completely over tired and has given in. The next problem is I need him up in an hour to go to the childminder as I'm at work this evening.

Why am I having another one?! :oooo:

It's get easier as the adjust to a big bed Durham. Toddlers biggest problems are not sleeping in case they miss something exciting but only making it worse for them tired selves bless them. Fingers crossed he gets used to it soon for your own sanity Durham! I think that regularly when my son's at his worse lol xxx

Struggling to keep up with this thread. I hope everyone is doing ok today!

Blueeyes, You really shouldn't have to put up with the behaviour you're describing. Unprofessional and not just that, but bloody mean! My hubby works in an office with mostly men and not many females, If I ever thought he could treat someone like that I would not be happy! 28c is just ridiculous too!, I'd be on the floor in that heat.

Well yesterday I had a call from the hospital to say that my GTT came back borderline and that they would refer me to the diabetic specialist for diet advice etc.. I was a bit disappointed but after reading up a bit about it and asking advice from the ladies over in the Gestational Diabetes thread I felt a bit more positive that I can try my best to control it.

Just had a voicemail left for me today, again from the hospital, but different midwife, saying that my GTT came back normal and no further follow up is needed!!! Confused! And now I can't get through to them to ask them to clarify. They never pick the phones up in the maternity department!

Jen how annoying that you don't know what's happening then!

Thanks for all the replies on my post before, a 2 hour nap killed some time lol.

Has anyone else noticed being thirstier than usual? Im chugging down the squash at the minute but never satisfied. I remember having it with my son as well but nothing ever came of it.

Interesting school run, nearly passing out in the playground wasnt my idea of fun, talk about embarassing!! Urggh :(

Jessie I just cannot get enough water in me right now im forever thirsty and today i am just beyond breathless, i remember this from last time but no where near this early!

Also little one feels extremely low today and i feel lots of pressure down there so thats freaking me out a bit i wish she would move out of there for the time being(wont be saying that closer to due date haha)

Ah last full week of us all being in tri 2!

Blue eyes you need to take in chocolates (or something they all enjoy that you bring in) and say sorry men don't like this. I would be so angry (especially as I love my food and love bacon and sausage sandwiches). I worked in 2 heavily male departments and have never been treated like this. I would even record this incident where they've purposely discriminated and made you feel left out as "girls don't like bacon".

I have dreadful backache and the LO just wants to play! Im trying to stretch my back on all fours and he's crawling under me! Funny but not helping

Just told one of guys at work that my OH and I will be sorting baby furniture out this weekend... And he asked me whether it was a bit early!!!!

It's not too early, is it? After we sort the baby room out, we'll need to clean up the rest of the house, as it currently looks like a storage facility.

Ohhhhhh, just had hell of a BH!

I don't think it's too early, i've always thought its better to do it all in tri 2 and chances are we'll be generally feeling well enough too rather than having the tired, heavy, backache joys of tri 3.

We started ours about a week ago. (I say we, my hubby did it and I had a chair in the room and guided, jabbing him with my crutches when he slacked haha great fun!)

Yeah, I wouldn't say it's early at all Bigbee. Our plan for the weekend is to sort the nursery out a bit more ready for decorating. We have the furniture so that will all be put into place once the painting is done. I'd rather be organised early than struggle to get it done later on x

Bigbee, our room is basically finished lol!

I've just been to the GP for my heart and lung check (apparently it's standard) and I am being sent for an ECG because my pulse rate is too low? It's never been mentioned before and my BP has always been fine? Another thing to worry about! I feel like it's one thing after another at the moment.

Nursery furniture arrived today and I love it! We only need some nice wall art and the room is done.
Still lots to buy, but I now have somewhere to put it.
