Hi everyone, I just wanted to pop my head up and say hi, it was my OTD today and I now have a scan booked in two weeks. It seems like ages to wait at the moment. I have been really busy with work stuff and it’s actually been quite nice to have a break from all the emotions I’m feeling. I’m a little overwhelmed at the moment at how fast this has all happened for me. I’m only 4&2 today and this is all new to me with it being the first time I’ve been pregnant. I might actually wind up being due in April, just have to wait and see. I have a new symptom though (which I hope none of you have!) it’s like motion sickness when I stand up after sitting down, and takes a while to pass. Not nice at all but still, very worth putting up with. 😂 x

Hi August! I'm 4+6 (I think) and also my first preg! Don't worry also emotional over here! Had some cramping and clots last week and rang the midwife who gave me a fright by sending me to EPAU for a scan (we thought I was 6+5 at that point) and I had a meltdown at work! 🙈.

Oh u poor thing, I haven't had that. I have nearly been sick 2 mornings running on the drive to work though which is fun haha!x

Morning ladies, I'm 4+6 today and it feels like it's all going really slowly.

I spent most of yesterday dodging questions about being broody and wanting the next one which was awkward!

Feeling a bit meh today, don't have many symptoms and don't really feel very pregnant which I know is completely normal. My boobs still hurt which is something.

I made a maternity bra last night and my boobs are happy for the first time in about 3 weeks

Hi Chase,

It's really odd I find, all I really have to go on is a BFP test. I don't really feel pregnant either and all the possible early signs I keep thinking, "am I just over analysing to convince myself". I just want a scan so I have actual evidence.

I'm 5+3 today and other than being really bloated, and having permanent bullet nipples that occasionally hurt (sorry if tmi) - I have no symptoms.

It does feel like every day drags so slowly.

xx

My scan showed a fetal pole and a yolk sac but they couldn’t see a heartbeat. It might just be too early, or it might be bad news. I have another scan in a fortnight.

I might take a step back from the forum for a little while

Chase I think we are due the same day as I think I'm 4+6 today!
You made a maternity bra?! How did u do that??
I think I need one my poor boobs!

Omg EB! Are bullet nips a pregnancy thing?! Mine have been the same and I was wondering what the hell was going on haha!

Aw Akua,

Fingers and toes crossed it's too early. Big hugs. I know it's stupid to say but try and stay positive. We're thinking of you x

Symptoms come and go with the hormone level changes I think.

If it's any consolation to you ladies with my first I never had any sickness I only ever had the sore nipples, tiredness and bloating.

I'm the same this time around but nowhere near as tired as I thought I'd be with growing another mini human and running around after a 23month old! I can only assume it's because I'm off work at the minute and last time I was working shifts full time.

Chase how have you made a maternity bra?! You sound so crafty I'm slightly jealous!

Oh my lovely, I will keep everything crossed that it was just too early for you. Understand if you want to take a little step back but we are all here for support if you need us xx

Hello Ladies,

I've not been on the forum in a long while. I use to be a permanent visitor when I was pregnant with my second child, although I went by a different username back then. It was a brilliant forum for meeting other mums to be and I have actually stayed in touch with a lot of the ladies from the last due date thread!

Anyway, I'm eagerly poking my head in. I don't dare believe that I'm here again but hoping to find others that may be in a similar position?

I'll give you a brief history and hope to get to know you all as the weeks go on (god willing!).

I'm 33 years young and have two boys 15 years and 5 years... people always ask why such a big age gap. Well, I struggled to conceive the second time and took us many years, lots of tests, and finally a couple of rounds of Clomid to finally conceive. Then in January this year, out of the blue, I realised I was over a week late tested and was greeted with a BFP...concieved naturally! I was blown away! Utter shock, happiness and excitement...only it ended at my first scan when I was told the baby had stopped growing at about 10wk 5days.

So there is the long and short of it, now I'm here 5 months later with my second natural BFP and praying to whatever divine being that will listen to let this bean stick.

I don't really feel pregnant, just heavy and achy down there lol.. With the MMC my symptoms never really kicked off so I'm praying for the full works this time, just so it will reassure me.

Hope you all, don't mind me jumping on your thread.

Best wishes,

Emma xx

Thanks ladies. I’m actually feeling a lot more positive about it this afternoon.

A) I’m a lot more symptomatic than in any of my previous pregnancies
B) last time I got to 12+1 but on scan they could only see an empty sac. This time there’s a fetal pole and a yolk sac
C) Before my last mc, my cycles were 39-40 days long. This time I got my bfp on day 28 and I have no idea when I ovulated. So it’s highly likely my dates are a bit wrong anyway
And d) the fetal pole was only 2mm, and seeing a heartbeat when it’s that small must be nearly impossible as the heart is only a small size in comparison to the rest of the baby. So surely I’d be unlikely to see something less than a mm anyway considering there’s enough layers of me in between?!

So after an initial meltdown I’m feeling weirdly quite positive this afternoon.

13 days to go til the next scan and then I’ll know for sure

Aw Akua,

All positive things so fingers crossed my lovely. Glad you're feeling more positive x

Hi baby.3, welcome & congrats. Hope this one is a sticky one for you.
What's your edd? I'll add you to the list.

Akua it's nice to hear that you're feeling positive this afternoon & nice to still have you around xxx

That motion sickness does not sound pleasant at all. I hope it passes soon for you xx
