I'm struggling a bit with nausea today. Anyone else? I had hyperemesis with my first two, less so with my 2nd and I'm so worried I'm going to be really bad again. To make things worse we go on holiday in a week, I'm so worried that I'll have ruined the whole thing for my kids and husband, being too ill to do anything! Being a mum is so guilt-filled.

Isn’t it always Mirror, try not to worry about what you can’t control, hubby should be understanding and take charge of the kids more x

Wow! Congrats Louise! Are these your first? Do they run in your family or are they identical twins?

How exciting!

My pregnancy has been same as last one so far, so pretty sure we’re having another boy! OH thinks he only makes boys!! He has another son from a previous relationship and we have a 13 month old son. Would like one of each but will be nice to have 2 boys close in age. I hope they get on!!!!!

Anyone else have any predictions re what they’re having? Or tempted to do the harmony test? Xxx

I’m still to early to be guessing but so far I don’t feel pregnant but will see, can’t imagine having a boy though haha convinced myself it’s a girl already. I won’t have a harmony test unless other test point towards any of the conditions.

I think I’m having a boy. Dunno why though. Harmony test would be a very expensive way to find out the gender - it’s about £500 where I live. So I’d only consider it if I had high risk downs screening

Omigoodnesss! I had no idea it was that much!! Heard some people say they were getting it so assumed it was like £40 or something!!! I’ll just be waiting for 20 week scan. I wish I could wait for a surprise but it’s just not in my nature!!

That’s a good point Ellie - at what point does the gender become set?

I heard of some people saying that hcg levels can be higher for a girl but I think that’s later on xxx

I think gender is pretty set at conception, hence why they can work it out at 11 weeks with a harmony test. But you can’t tell from genitals until 16 weeks.

If you’re really impatient you can usually pay £50 for a private scan at 16 weeks

I wouldn't have Harmony for gender test, or for any test to be honest. I have a little boy with Down's Syndrome already so I know how little of a deal it is now. I didn't when he was born though!

Congratulations Louise that's amazing! I keep panicking I'm having twins .. doubt it though!

I couldn’t be bothered to read what they do in the harmony test but is that where they put a needle into the placenta or amniotic fluid? If so I wouldn’t have it done either, told hubby that even if we have tests that say the chance is high, I would just prepare myself for everything!

Yes, gender is set from conception, I meant I’m too early to compare to my last pregnancy hehe

The harmony is just a blood test, and they look for fetal dna in the maternal blood. It’s not available on the nhs because it’s so expensive.

Hey girls!

Got my BFP a week ago today! Already had a bit of a scare and been to the EPAU. We were told yesterday my hormone count had more than doubled which is good news so now waiting for an early scan in 2 weeks.

Just wondered if anyone else felt quite lonely? You don't want to tell anyone yet as it's so early, the hubs doesn't really get the anxiety you have yet and as I'm only about 4 weeks along have no real symptoms (apart from hella sore boobs and super human sense of smell!).

Thanks guys still in shock ! My 8 th pregnancy 4 girls 18,15,12& 7 and rest mmc so I’m praying 🙏 everything ok . Ones measure a week behind the other there in different sacs girls 😆 feeling very tiered and hungry sick and mood swings are terrible ❤️ Forgot to mention I’m a twin have a brother,

Oh goodness I can only imagine we are going to feel this mum guilt forever. Just remember, you're growing a mini human and don't feel guilty. It's not like you're going to be sitting on your bum doing nothing, you'll do what you can but make sure you rest to xx

I have no clue. If we're going on pregnancies being different I would say I'm having a boy but I really have no instinct. We would love another girl but will be so thrilled either way. We won't be finding out. We're staying team yellow much to DH disappointment.

Nice to have some others to talk to, the hubs is adamant he doesn't want to tell anyone, which I get but just makes it harder for me!

Is anyone else exercising? I didn't go the gym last week due to all the weird symptoms! Today I went and done some light cardio but felt light headed on the treadmill so switched to the bike and was ok!
