*****March 2019 Mummies*****

Congratulations and welcome August and Beee.

We went off to Mothercare to get some cooler pyjamas that also don’t cut in but could only find legging style ones, and I hate them. Tried to get a bra/crop top that doesn’t feel like it’s compressing the rib cage too but failed there also. I can’t stand having anything tight on at the moment. My boobs are not going to thank me for it later but right now wearing a bra makes me feel physically sick. Hope I get over it soon before the growth spurt

After that we went to pick up a free table that we’ll use for crafts, then it was home for a nap. Hubby cooked and I feel like crap. It’s reassuring but I really do wish I could just feel human again for once. I’m also pretty sure it’s a side effect from the ivf meds. The method was required and I love the end result and I’ll always be grateful that this was an option, but let’s face it, it’s a crap way to have a baby (until 10weeks, then you tend to forget).

How have all you Woking ladies got on?

I'm exhausted. Been tidying my studio for 5 hours and still not done. This was after an hour long walk up the hills

I need sleep

The bloat is real today. Excuse my gym gear

Akua that looks more like a baby bump than bloat! :)

Hayz I have a non underwired, non padded sports crop top that I got from primark in my last pregnancy that I've continued to wear ever since at night time. It's super comfy and still quite supportive. Have a try in there, I was in our primark yesterday and saw them.

Early night for you then chase.
Either your studio is huge or it was messy

It is huge and was sooooo messy! I am not a tidy sewer or worker. My business is messy (I to tshirt design) and I leave everything at my arse

I need to be better! I haven't cleaned in there in months though :rotfl:

I wear handmade bras... They are the comfiest thing ever! I can recommend some places to buy them if anyone is interested I think they retail around £25 but I swear it's worth it!

I only have 2 that fit right now so this weekend I plan to make another in some Harry Potter fabric that I have just for fun

I’m only 5+5 though, and according to my app baby is only 3mm big. So definitely just bloat / chub

We did a seven mile hike, nearly all uphill this morning. I’ve then basically just died on the sofa all afternoon

How have all you Woking ladies got on?

Do you mean working or Woking? I’m gonna reply assuming you mean working, if you meant woking just ignore me

I do find working hard. I work 12.5 hour shifts and I’m on my feet the whole time. It’s pretty physically demanding. Some days I feel okay, other days I feel like I’m dying. Normally my colleagues end up telling people they’re pregnant early because of this reason, but since I’ve miscarried twice now I don’t want to tell anyone at all just yet in case it all goes wrong still. So I’m stubbornly trying to soldier through

I work in a nursery and I told the ladies I work with closely and my manager, so if I’m not carrying tables up and down stairs and most of the time they’ll do nappies too, towards the end I can’t even sit down on the small chairs as my legs are so long I’m just a hazard for people haha it was definitely the nausea though with DD, hope I don’t get it this time around!

Ah, the perils of typing on a phone. Akua, I meant walking! It seemed as though quite a few were going for a walk today. I can manage about 20mins before I slow to a crawl but some are talking about hill walking! I’m impressed.

Akua, that’s a tough place to be in with work. Could you get away with blaming your back for not being able to do some things? I managed to use a bad back as an excuse as to why I wouldn’t lift things with my last pregnancy. The more observant cottoned on though but it did the trick with most.

Thanks for the welcomes sparkymum, chase, summergurl and akua. And congratulations Beee!
I feel so much better since my line got darker and I could finally believe it was true. Chase your line looks great! I’ve still been out wasting money on the clear blue weeks test this morning but I’m done now, no more tests 😂

That’s a great bloat photo Akua. I wore a dress on Thursday that was loose on me two weeks ago and is now tight, and I looked months pregnant. I swear people were giving up seats for me on public transport!!

I have a quick question, bit random, but I have two lovely pet turtles in a tank and I read online that people get rid of theirs due to salmonella risks when pregnant. I don’t suppose anyone here has / had a turtle? I know they are not the most common pets but they are easy to look after. I’d prefer to keep them but not if they put me in any risk. I’ve stopped handling them. Thanks xx

I did a bit of goggling for you there and there is a risk of salmonella. If you have someone else to deal with the turtle (I. E. Don't touch it or it's water) then it won't cause you any harm. Otherwise it recommends wearing gloves to handle and good hand hygiene

How do you guys manage to quote multiple people in just one post?!

Hayz, work is okay. It’s more a problem of keeping going on my feet for the twelve and a half hours more than anything else. My manager knows as I’ve been signed off nights.

August I used to have turtles. I always figured as long as I washed my hands after I’d be ok?

Akua if you look at the bottom right of someone's reply next to quote you'll see "+ ... click that on the ones you want to add to your reply and the last one that you want to quote click "quote" instead of the + and it'll take you to a reply box with all of the quotes in you want to reply to.

I have woken up this morning with such a bad back.
It's really beginning to effect me now. Also my symptoms have pretty much gone which is Aldo worrying me.
I'm going to book an early scan. I just have to know, I can't go through the whole of August with my birthday and DD birthday being stressed and worried about it.

Let us know Summer. When are you booking it for?
It's natural to worry but symptoms come and go x

Akua maybe get some anti bac hand gel as well?

Thanks Summergurl, always wanted to know how to do that too.
I understand how worrying it can be Summergurl, did you have lots of symptoms with DD?

I’m 4 weeks today <3

@UK ladies.
Where are you pillaging for your maternity clothes?
Last time I did New Look and managed to catch the sale!

I've not bought any yet, hoping to hold off as much as possible as I'm actively losing weight.

I'll probably make a bunch of my own stuff but I like New Look for maternity

I'm havi g a crisis... Family gathering all my best belly hiding clothes are in the wash.... I look 4 months bloody pregnant. I'm not even pushing put when I do I look full term :rotfl:

I’m think I’m going to have to resort to online shopping for my maternity clothes this time. None of my local stores seem to stock them and even when I do come across some it’s one pathetic rack of stuff that is never wear. I don’t do see through tops at the best of times but definitely not when pregnant. Peacocks seem to think this a good look though. This will be my last pregnancy so I don’t want to spend a lot and I can reuse most of what I had last time. Just need a couple of bits.

I honestly brought some trousers from H&M the other day as they were on sale and looked majorly comfy! And I like new look last time too, still have some old stuff so will be making use of that stuff again as thankfully don’t need maternity clothes in summer!!

Hi March Mummies....

I'm a bit apprehensive about joining the group as it still feels extremely early days, and every toilet visit I'm super anxious!!!

But, had a bfp with a Clear Blue Digital this morning, 2 weeks late for period so 'unofficially' 5 weeks pregnant with due date around 24th March - if things do progress may tip into an April date when confirmed.

I'm known for being an anxious individual which sucks right now, as I'm already convinced it won't happen.

Going to test again in 4 days if no bleeding and have doctor's appointment Friday.

I am over analysing everything......how annoying

Xxxx

Congratulations, ED!
Try not to worry :)
Have you suffered losses before?
x
