*****March 2018 Testing Thread*****

Hi, how does this thread work, is it for AF/pregnancy tests? My AF is due around the 28-30th so does that put me on the chart in this thread? :)

Hi Jetina, it's for ladies TTC (trying to conceive) to pop down expected date of testing and help each other through the dreaded tww (two week wait).

I'm just here as a stalker to see how people are getting on.

I can't remember who started the thread but they will add you to the list on page one. These threads are a great source of support, so make yourself at home and very best of luck to you this month xxx

Moomin, your words from earlier in this thread.

Just how wonderful it ended the way it did. You must be around 5 weeks now as well I think?? Just so happy for you. Xxx

" I really think we're hoping for a miracle now but I've found peace with that. We've agreed we'll keep trying until IVF but won't be putting the same amount of pressure on in and have no expectation. It's been less stressful for both of us. "

It's funny you should say that as I was actually going back through a few of my old posts. Even my OH said that it would only be me that would wait til the last possible moment lol!! Out of all the tedious months we've been doing this, we really did try the least hard this cycle. Maybe there's something to be said for the relaxed approach but I can honestly say we weren't putting pressure on ourselves in the beginning so who knows. Only dtd twice as well. CD11 and CD13. Positive opk was on CD11. Just goes to show as previously we were trying to do it so much over the fertile period. I just hope this is finally our miracle.

Moomin I'm so pleased for you....just logged on and my mouth dropped open then immediately into a massive smile for you. Just amazing. Happy healthy 9 months.

How far along does this mean you are cos you held out to test?

Thanks Nikki. I hope this gives some hope to all you lovely ladies who've been stuck in this rut for far longer than is fair. I think if if calculated right I should be 5 weeks on Monday. I always knew I'd hold out if I was ever suspicious as I knew I'd need clear lines before I could even begin to believe. Earliest I could have realistically expected af was last Friday but managed to hold out until Wednesday. Can honestly say I would never have known if it wasn't for no af. If my cycles weren't so regular and I wasn't tracking, I probably wouldn't even have tested by this point.

Moomin I'm sure it was the biggest and best shock ever! I'm 100% certain I won't believe it if I ever get a BFP lol I am going to miss you around the TTC threads, but I'm looking forward to reading your pregnancy journey! :)

Thank you. I plan to keep following your journey and I hope with all my heart that it ends in a BFP for you.

Moomin, it worked for us with the relaxed approach as well after the losses. I was so hung up with it all before then. I think for most women, it takes a few cycles for the body to kick the hormones into action, hence doctors waiting at least a year before testing. So, I don't pay attention to the relaxed approach at the start as I'm not sure it makes a difference to most at that poi t. There will always be cases where people fall quickly. Can be down to age, hormones from recently coming off birth control etc. For that very vast majority, it takes a while...so I really do think our bodies need time to ramp up the game and unfortunately, by that time, we start worrying something is wrong, stressing, charting, opk'ing and micro-analysing every possible symptom, convinced it won't happen. It's sadly, a kind of self fulfilling prophecy though because the stress of it all can really affect us.

I'm just thrilled for you. Will you book a 7 week scan privately to see a heartbeat? It was the best thing I did. Allowed me to relax into believing it was actually real.

Funny you should say that as we did talk about that last night. We've obviously been saving hard as we were preparing to potentially fund a cycle of IVF so we think we more than deserve it. Can you definitely see enough at 7 weeks. I was thinking 8 weeks to be safe?

Congratulations Moomingirl! I think that puts you in the November due date pregnancy thread - hoorah! xxx

We saw a little pole with a little sac and a very clear and strong heartbeat. It was the day of my birthday and was a present to myself. Best present ever.

If you can wait to week 8, you'll see the same, just a bit bigger.

Have you worked out your due date yet? Will be a Christmas baby :)

Based on last cycle I believe it's 19th November :) OH pulled a face as he's a November baby and says it's too close to Christmas lol!! I've never put too much thought into time of year. I think when you get to this point it doesn't matter any more!! I think I'd probably feel happier waiting til 8 weeks. Started Googling and I think we could organise on fairly easily on a weekend.

8 weeks is perfect then. I'm November 17th and honestly, it never affected me. My sister used to try and rub it in that she got presents every 6 months but I just rubbed in back that I got more as our parents overcompensated with me, lol.

Yeah I know he's just being dramatic. I'm still not sure how it actually affected him lol!!

8 weeks seems right to me so I think we'll do that. I think we both need the reassurance after all this time and it will help us relax into it.

Yep. I kept testing until the scan. I just needed that reassurance the lines were still there. The scan really, really helps. X

Waiting for AF is driving me insane today I'm at work and can't concentrate but I don't want to do a test because I know I'll be disappointed, trying to stay strong here!! :(

I'm having such a crap day. How do you find hope it can happen? How do I relax and give up so it happens. I am so fed up with this month after month. 2 more pregnancy announcements today. I feel like this is some cruel joke. Af is almost gone when itneasnt even due until tmrw. I still feel nausea and burping ...what is this ? I think we will just try twice this next cycle which will be this month again...no idea of so will even ovulate after such a weird cycle!

No squinting needed for these. I can't believe this might actually be real

Congratulations Moomin! I know you’ve had a tough ride so far. I really am sending you all of the positive vibes for a happy and healthy 9 months xx

Hope it stays away Wilson. I'm out today... boooo

Oh well. Hubby and I are both teachers and ovulation should fall during the school holidays next cycle, I like our chances haha
