## March 2018 Mummies Tri 1 Thread ##

Hi VC, welcome to the thread, I have added your due date to the list on the 1st page of the thread - we now have 3 March Mummies with the 28th due date!

Thats really nice you got your bfp on your birthday - what a lovely present :-)

I also don't have a symptom and I'm almost 7 weks, it's my 2nd pregnancy and I didn't have many symptoms the first time around either and struggled to believe that there was a baby in there!

I'm not sure what area you live in but generally the midwifes/GPs just ask if you have done a home pregnancy test and calculate your expected due date based on the first day of your last period - so they don't do any other test to confirm it. With my first wasn't showing at 12 weeks so my scan was the first time I believed it was happened, this time I feel bloated already and no stomach muscle so reckon might show a bit earlier!
Hi Summertime!

Thanks so much for saying hello! Yes it was the most amazing birthday, we were on our way for a picnic on the beach and we had brought a bottle of prosecco to pop to celebrate my birthday, but as my period was late I thought I better pop into the shop first and pick up a test 'just in case' . I never expected it to show positive as I was just so used to the disappointment each month. So it was a wonderful surprise, the prosecco didn't make it to the picnic in the end hehe.
I have done another 3 pregnancy tests since then and I still just can't believe it to be true. Guess it is going to be a long wait until my first scan, that is when it will really hit me (fingers crossed all being well of course)

Thanks for the welcome! :)

Hi ladies I had a private 9 week scan yesterday and I got a due date of 1st March (moved back a day) so if its ok I may be dipping in and out of here until I see what my 12 week one says!

Speaking of work I am ready for a new one but like summertime Im staying on because of the maternity benefits, especially as ive been there for 8 years. I get 4.5 months full pay then SMP for the remainder.

Going to a rock concert tonight, dont know how im going to cope!
Happy Friday everyone x

Hi L&P, I have added your due date to the list. How was the scan? It must have been amazing seeing your little bean, I think you can see quite a bit at 9 weeks?? I am trying my hardest to resist the early scan but the place is a 10 min walk from the office so not sure how long I will last!

Merry who was also on the post bc thread with us earlier in the year is also a March Mummy with the same edd as you :-)

Thanks summertime!
Yes the 9 week scan was out of this world!! Worth every single penny! Got to see our baby on a big LCD screen on the wall and him/her moving their little feet and heart flickering away! The sonographer spent about 15 to 20 minutes showing us and we must have looked a picture staring at the screen with our mouths open and tears rolling down our faces! They gave me about 14 pictures. Could also see the umbilical cord. Baby measures 2.2cm. Im already looking forward to next scan.xx

Ahh VictoriaLisa what a lovely story to tell for years to come! I think I'd have been a bit gutted about the prosecco though haha. It's bizarre at your first scan, you have this little baby jumping around inside you and you can't feel a thing. But it's amazing seeing it's real x

Hey all, it's getting busy on here! Nice to see you've joined us as well Loveandpeace!

How are we all? I'm feeling so much better this week - touch wood - no more all-day feeling sick. I know I shouldn't complain as so many women are horribly ill, but for me just feeling sick 24/7 has been really unsettling.

So now I'm back to being low on symptoms - tired, a bit bloated on occasion but nothing too bad, a bit of pinching/cramping... no sore boobs, no spotting, no hormonal emotions! I have moments of doubting I'm pregnant at all, but I'm trying to think sensibly and just be glad I'm not suffering too much. I'll be 10 weeks this week, is this all normal?!

Hi ladies
I've been bleeding since Thursday night, on and off. Went to the EPU yesterday and they took some blood to check my hcg levels. Called later to say it's above 1500 so I'm still pregnant. I'm due for a scan tomorrow morning, I'm bricking it. Fingers crossed
How's everyone doing?

I've just received my booking in appointment for next Friday afternoon i`ll be 9 weeks & 1 day Feeling a little excited that things are starting to happen X

Hey everyone,im 9 weeks and 2 days,my this morning my boobs have kind of shrunk and not as sore......trying not to panic or overthink! My nausea and fatigue isnt as bad either. Scan less than 2 days ago shows all was well so im hanging on to that and hoping its just some symptoms lessening.
Is anyone else similar?x

I'm just coming up to 7 weeks and the exhaustion has set in, my 3 year old had me up at 6 this morning and by 11 struggling to stay awake. My hubby has taken him out for a few hours , I really want to get some stuff sorted in the house but might give in and go for a nap.

Nipples stopes stinging so that's a relief as really uncomfortable. Haven't felt like doing an exercise this week but thinking that's making me even more lethargic at work so think next week going to start walking at lunch.

Merry and L&P, you will probably be the first of us to have the 12 week scan - have you got your dates yet?

I've had my booking in appointment but not for another 3.5 weeks when will be 10+3 so a while to wait but then will be short wait until scan itself. We are looking at booking a hol for when I'll be 13 weeks so hope if scan falls the there is option to rearrange? X

I have my booking appointment a week on Monday (7th Aug) - been waiting so long! I'll be 10 or 11 weeks by then. I'm assuming the midwife will book my scan after that? It's my first time so not entirely sure! Hoping it'll be soonish though...

Yeah that's how it works here and if you don't have a scan date already probably the same, if you opt for the downs screening they have to give you scan by 13+6 if not just depends on business read a few people having theirs in week 14 so all depends.

I feel like I've been waiting an age already but it's August on Tuesday so will know my scan is "next month" then.

Resisted a nap and sorting out my wardrobe just dug out my old maternity stuff, some of it's not in amazing condition as got nearly all of it from eBay last time and some of it got a lot of wear. Will try to make so though as not planning on a 3rd so seems a waste buying too much new stuff.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend xx

Hope everything is ok at your scan tomorrow sk8erzeh.
I'm going to ring the Drs on Monday to get an apt with my midwife, my only issue is I think they only work on Thursdays and that's my only,y day off so I'll have to take my 3yr old along too. Tricky as we're not telling her yet so will have to talk in code

Morning ladies
Went for my scan this morning. Everything is as it should be. Due for another scan on the 14th. Hope we'll hear a heartbeat then.

Hi ladies

I am just coming up to 9 weeks now, due date is 3rd of March. I will be having an elective c-section though which will probably be a week before that. 12 week scan is booked for 22nd August, can't wait!

I've known since I was 3 or 4 weeks so feels like I've been pregnant for agesss!

Looks like I'm suffering with a lot of the same symptoms as some of you - all day nausea, vomiting, exhaustion, lots of weeing etc! Joys hey!

Love this forum, was addicted to it during my first pregnancy in 2011! Such a great support network.

Anyway, just thought I'd join in and say hi to the other march mummies xxx

So glad all was well sk8erzeh, hopefully next time you'll see more.

I'm just the same Dee, was on here all the time during my last pregnancy and love it :-) x

Hi Dee, welcome to the thread - I've added your due date to the first page.

I know what you meant I got my BFP at 4 weeks and felt like so long ago and still another 3 weeks until I see the midwife for booking in. Also got our family holiday booked for when i'll be 14 weeks so counting down to that aswell, no days off over the summer before then so got 7 weeks to get through.

Can I ask why you are having an elective? My son was 10lbs and his head measurement was over the 100 centile which resulted in a very difficult forcep delivery and never been the same since, I'm not sure if they will take this into account with the second as I think 2nd babies tend to be bigger? This though terrifies me as have never healed from the first round of forceps.

Great news sk8erzeh! I bet thats a big relief and only 2 weeks until you get to see your little bean again - had the bleeding stopped now?

Thanks summertime. It has stopped completely. Thank goodness
How are you doing?

Great news sk8! So pleased for you.

I too may be going for an elective c section this time. I had a terrible time first time around. My labour was induced early due to diabetes and it took 4 days. I pushed for 5 hours in the pushing stage and this resulted in a rush to theatre trip for forceps. I've since had 2 operations following the birth down below and due a third. It's not the same down below and I'm worried it will be worse if I have another 'natural' delivery.

How is everyone doing? Been feeling sick so much this last week and totally off food.xx
