MAP

She can't have the coil fitted for medical reasons (I hope you don't mind me saying) xx

I thought she couldn't have hormonal contraceptives because they were looking into her cycles??? Sorry if I got that wrong.

The coil can cause the bleeding to become heavier and interfere with her cycles more

Non latex condoms are awful. Oh and I tried them when we were first together and they all burst. Like 7 consecutively. All well within use by and from the clinic. We thought it was just us until we gave the rest to our room mate. Then we heard him and his gf doing lots of swearing as it happened to them too!!!

Tapatalking excuse any typos!
Mummy of two, Angel mummy of one and WTT baby number 4 <3

Lol!!! That did make me giggle ^^^^ (about the room mate!) x

Yup lots of f**k f**k f**k in repetition
Its quite shocking how unreliable they are though!

This is what they told me evie when I went to get it fitted

tapatalking so cannot see tickers! sorry for typos also!

the MAP is hormonal contraception... should you have taken it??

Im a bit  about the MAP guilt thing. I dont see how its different to any other form of contraception?! If you feel bad for taking it, does that mean youre anti-contraception altogether???

I don't know. Honestly I wouldn't of took it, it's OH that wanted me too.

I am a believer in contraception yes because when taking contraception there shouldn't be a pregnancy.

But with MAP the way I think of that is there could have been a pregnancy but I made it not happen.

I can't fully explain myself because it's hard to explain with detail but surely there has got to be someone that understands what I mean?

I know what you mean bab its like your not killing anything but your putting up a barrier for them to come alive it's like your allowing a chemical if it was to happen at that time xx

all contraception is a barrier to them coming alive. Youre not allowing a chemical, honestly, if a pregnancy is established the MAP will not stop it progressing, thats why it has one of the highest failure rates of most contraceptions out there. Because you take it late. The pill works in the exact same way, you just take it regularly. It really is no different, medically, scientifically. But maybe it makes you feel wierd cos you take it after you dtd? it can take days for sperm to reach an egg.

Just had random thought that might help you, spermicide lube?

There are spermicide lubes and other spermicides available to use alongside condoms. Did you speak to your gp about contraception options?
I am puzzled re MAP as taking the pill is better than MAP, its quite big dose of hormones.

WSS pill is a lower dose of hormone than the MAP. Think you should ask to see a family planning doctor cos GPs dont always know a lot about contraveption unless its a specialism of theirs. Your case is more compicated than average but you cant go on like this, its causing too much stress and you will end up pregnant before long.

"Effects of the emergency pill depends to some extent what stage you are at in your menstrual cycle. It may stop or delay the release of an egg (ovulation), prevent a sperm from fertilising an egg that has already been released (for example by making the mucus in the cervix thicker, so blocking the passage of sperm into the womb) or altering the lining of the womb so that a fertilised egg can't settle there."

Chemicals are not caused by any of these things... so I don't understand how taking the morning after pill is like causing a chemical to happen.

I'd look verrrry bad though, 19 with 3 children!!! We'll see anyway here's to a agonising two weeks! Kinda secretly happy tbh

If you're secretly kind of happy is there any part of you that wanted this to happen in this case? Despite your OH saying he didn't want any more?

Don't think I'm going to take it again I think I'm officially in the tww with a 11 week old and 23 month old. Someone obviously has my life planned out for me. Maybe this was meant to be
!

"Myths about emergency contraception:

You can't use the morning-after pill more than once. Not true - you can use the emergency pill as many times as you need to and more than once in any one menstrual cycle, but it shouldn't be used instead of regular contraception"

Since you have such trouble with your cycles and there don't appear to be any other options for you, shouldn't your partner then look at his options? If he's made it clear he doesn't want any more then he should be taking responsibility for this in absence of your options.

You said before you weren't overly fertile but you do have two children at the age of 19, you are still just 19 so plenty more fertile than a lot of people who might get pregnant by accident. You have had two split condoms in recent times, rather than it being a sign that fate wants you pregnant, maybe it's a sign that fate wants you to get your ass in gear with proper long term solutions - something that works with your difficulties, your OH getting the snip, or abstinence. Personally I'd go with the third option as it's the only surefire way of making sure you don't end up with an accidental pitter patter of feet. I'm sure your doctors will find you a solution in good time, and going without sex for a couple of months (especially with a young baby) isn't the end of the world and in fact many people find they go without sex in the first few months anyway.

Sorry that turned out longer than I planned it to be!
