Madeleine McCann

If the toy and her clothes had cadavar on it, then she wouldnt still be carrying it around with her, it would be in a lab somewhere or bagged up as evidence. Simple as.

I dont think he looked guilty, he looked worried. No shock there.

And as for taking whats written on another forum, translated from second hand information from portugese papers, im sorry but thats naive at best.

Im not having a go at anyone, I'm just getting very sick of all these rumours and speculations flying around...what good does it do??????

...and if the police had enough evidence to bring charges, they would do so.

It would be nice to think we could stop the rumours and speculation, but unfortunately this case has generated unprecidented interest worldwide, so that's just unavoidable.

As said before, the rumours are fuelled by the press, who are laughing all the way to the bank with this one, and the general lack of solid information coming from the police.

The sad thing today is, that whilst the police are focusing on pinning it on the parents, nobody is looking for that poor little girl :(

to all parents.... If someone stole your baby.... wouldn't you just want to hide from the world.... never see another living soul???

I would have a family member or friend make all the statements, perhaps make one or two appeals... but I just couldn't face speaking to the rest of the world....I would just fall apart emotionally.... Either the McCanns are stronger people than I am or...

no sorry i totally disagree if i thought someone took Hayden, i
would do everything possible and go to the ends of the earth
if needed to get him back safely. i would mount a huge media campaign they way they have and i dont see anything wrong with that whatsoever.

if they didnt do anything and just flew home they would have been
critised for not caring..they cant win can they!!

also who heard thet gerry admitted to sedating maddie?
i havent heard that yet..
my mums a police woman and i used
to work for the police aswell, it seems that they are using
scare tactics to force the couple into confessing..
if they had enough eveidence they would have been charged.

if he did admit to sedating her it does put a different slant
on things doesnt it...:( if they did do it they are very
manipulative they even have their friends and family fooled.

i just read on teletext that the law is diff in portugal and them being suspects doesnt mean they were involved it just means the poilice can ask more questions and it gives the parents more legal rights
whether thats right or not i dont know.

Yep, and it also means that the police can tell them more about their investigation, let them know more details, whereas before they couldn't because of the secrecy laws.

sky news keeps going on about kate expecting to get charged later today :?

if they have nothing to do with it and nothing to hide, this must be putting them through hell as not only have they lost their daughter but now they are getting the blame and will be tarred for life :x
HOWEVER if it turns out they have something to do with her disapperance (sp) they deserve everything they get for taking the world as fools!

if they did do it, look at all the crap they have made for it,

:( making people beleive they were the innocent ones :/

there's no doubt in my mind that they are innocent. Until they confess or there's a trial which provides conclusive evidence I won't change my belief.

They had police and family liason officers, plus press and wellwishers following them around wherever they went in the beginning. When on earth were they supposed to go bury a body?? Plus there are several witnesses who saw a man running away carrying a child that night.

The press are forgetting all this now though.......

i totally agree with you.
and if there is an abductor he/she is probably
wring his/her hands in glee at all this.
poor maddie. hopefully this will all be sorted out soon.

iv never heard that before, to be honest people are going to carry on believing them until proven otherwise but in my mind they are not innocent as they are guilty of leaving her alone in the apartment to begin with

i am keeping an open mind as there are so many questions linked with them, such as the sedation and why only one child was taken

i'm really confused where has all this
stuff about the sedation come from?
no one has officially said they sedated the children have they?
or have i missed something?

i been watching sky news all day, they
havent said that once..just wondered where it came from.

It came from the Portugese press, who are being sued for deffamation and fabricating stories......

they're bound to make up rubbish, they gotta sell
papers!

I can understand what your saying, Fran, but I couldn't trust myself to not get hysterical on the TV and start screaming and begging them to bring her home...

Tia disappeared in a shopping centre once....and OMG... I was nearly hysterical then, and she was only missing for ten minutes...

I would have to get a family member to do everything for me... I just don't think I would be able to pull myself together at the thought of someone taking my daughter, torturing her, then killing her... Everytime someone asked me to talk about it, I would just start crying.

I suppose I can understand what your saying Fran, about if they didn't do anything, they would have been criticised for not caring.

At the moment the McCanns they are innocent. Although there is lots of speculation, I believe that the police are clutching at straws, because in all abduction/murder cases, usually the suspect is within the family/friend group. Police always look there first. It is very rare to have random killings/abductions and the Police had never really been interested in the family until now. The timing was all wrong.. between when they left the restaurant to when they reported Madeline missing... They wouldn't have had time to get rid of a body.

But at the end of the day, the parents still committed a crime. They left three children, under the age of 5, alone, unsupervised. If they hadn't done that, then Madeline would likely still be around. And it wasn't like they HAD to do that... 1) the complex had a nursery, 2)the complex had a babysitting service, 3)Portugal is like Spain, the kids could have gone with them. They chose to be negligent in their responsibilities as parents, and they paid the highest price for that.... The question is would they do it again?

That Mirror forum is full fo rumours and speculation, I'd take anything from there with a large bucket full of salt. Some horrid characters posting on there :puke:

GGG, Fran23,Sammy ------ agree with you all.

I thought when Gerry came out of that police station he looked heartbroken, not guilty.

Guilty, innocent - who knows?? They've lost their little girl though, and all their families have lost her too so cut them a bit of slack and take the tabloid goggles off .

i totally agree with what you are saying
they shouldnt have left them in the first place.
