Hi all

I'm not TTC yet but I am sure I will still be losing some weight when we do start trying as I don't think I can wait until I've lost all I want to lose before we start.

I want to lose exactly 2 stone now, I'd lost some weight before Christmas but then with 3 weeks off over Christmas I gained 7lbs. So I'm counting this as starting from January. So far I have lost 3lbs, I weight on a Monday.

I'm doing slimming world but doing it by myself from home, so would love if anyone else is also trying to lose weight as we could bounce off each other a little. Just for that extra support. I love the idea of slimming world personally as if I'm not at my target weight (or even if I am) I can follow the plan with a few tweaks even when pregnant. As it is safe to do so.

Anyway, tomorrow when I weigh I'm hoping to be in the next strong bracket. fingers crossed

Good luck for weigh in. I have done slimming world for my wedding. Lost 3 stone but I've put a stone back on being a greedy so and so hehe.

Shockingly I lost over 2 and a half stone a few years ago on slimming world, I maintained it for over a year too.... but then I ran a marathon, the training messed up my eating and I continued eating like it after I had done it. Then we got engaged and we had a lot of unusual added stress before the wedding, which continued a little after so I wasn't focused on my weight and health then. Then after that we have just enjoyed being us again, so a bit of a honeymoon/new relationship almost period of happiness snuck in... I'm shocked to say that I actually put back on all of what I lost :o well just under that.

But at least I know I can do it as I have done it before and also I know I can maintain as although things got out of hand, I did maintain for a very long time.

Thank you for your support as well.

I'm trying to set a realistic goal for loosing weight. Part of me thinks hmmm end of April I could have lost 2 stone as it'll only be about 2lb a week... but although that is realistic for some people I have quite slow losses at times and also have a few events on so don't want to be getting down about weeks where I loose less than that or even maintain. Only sad times will be if I actually gain one week.

I only usually do about 2 pound a week but I'm having trouble sticking to it at the moment. I'm just a bit all out of sorts and finding it hard to stick to the plan even though I know it works. I'm not really putting a big target or time frame on it. I would like to get rid of this stone I put back on asap. Then after that another stone would have me over the moon. Obviously all dependant what happens with TTC. would like to eat as healthily as possible and hopefully not end up the size of a house lol

I am quietly doing my own thing but yeah I really need to. According to my gynae all I need to drop is 8 stone.... yeah ok wait til I staple my gob closed

Exactly that's it. I want to loose as much as possible before we start trying. I mean it would be great to be at target for May... but there's a good chance I won't be there and I don't want to feel completely disheartened by that.

Once we start trying to conceive, I will keep up the weight loss but then will not be worrying about it if we get pregnant. I will just want to make sure I don't pile on the lbs like I did with my son.

Sparkle :O did they really say all you have to lose? seriously!

I mean, that's okay right if thats all you have to lose  good luck with losing some if that's what you want to do. I always think it has to start with you, if your head isn't in the right place then it won't happen. It's a very personal journey

Yea my bmi is about 6-7 stone but I've always been heavier even when I was the same size clothes and visually so I doubt I could ever lose that much and look normal. Ideally I would like to lose maybe 3 or 4 stone but setting that big a target is just madness to me so I just go stone by stone. I was REALLY sick when I was pregnant last time (miscarriage years ago) so I shouldn't have a problem losing in the early days if that happens again...

I'm setting myself lots of little goals, first one to get in the next stone bracket and then to lose half a stone, then to get in the lower half of that stone bracket then a stone and so on and so on.... means I can celebrate hitting a mini target every 3 or 4lbs, which yes is a lot but it makes each target more in reach as opposed to just looking at the whole lot at once

Yeah well to get my BMI to 30 thats the required weight loss. I mean yeah sure I can just never eat!!

Gutted this morning, I weighed myself on Friday and had lost a lb, however it's disappeared this morning. I think it's because AF is looming as my boobs are heavy and painful and the cramps are starting to creep up, but she isn't due until the weekend so it seems a little early. Fingers crossed that it will show next week instead, but that's a whole week away.

Anyway, looking forward this week as long as my husband is better we're off out on Saturday. So I'm cutting back on my daily treats for the rest of the week so that I can have a few extra drinks and whatever I fancy to eat without worrying too much.

Donna, it's normal to put on water weight before AF. Normally my weight drops after she's started or finished. You can't help but put on weight the week before...it's natural. Try weighing yourself afterwards as it's less stressful!

Yeah; I should start with measuring as well as weighing. Daft as it sounds it's having the time.

Maybe I should look at my Friday WI''s as well I know you're not meant to weigh more than once a week; but going by Mondays I lost 2lbs then 1lb then maintained. By Fridays I lost 2lbs two weeks in a row; will be interesting to see what this Friday shows (I know it all averages out in the end lol; but looking at ways to not be as down heartened as I know it's not because of not following a healthy plan)

Thank you for your support. :) my trousers do feel looser today which is something.

Probably a little cheat but I didn't feel as bloated when I got home from work, boobs are still big and heavy. So I weighed again and I'm a lb lighter, so I'm taking that as my weight this week.

It really helps to see the weight come off. If I get a bad reading I'm down for the rest of the day. I try to just weigh once a week, but it's sooo tempting...

I've got myself trained to only weigh on Mondays and Fridays... I know that's still bad as it should just be once a week, but it started because I wasn't sure whether to weigh on Mondays or Fridays, I weighed one Friday as I was going to swap to that day but then weighed on the Monday as well haha.

I think I'll weigh on both for a while and then settle on just one. Like I say, I know it all evens out in the end, but if I find I am getting better results by weighing on a Friday then I will probably switch to it. I'm wondering if it is the case because although I stick to healthy eating and eat well on a weekend, I am still physically eating more than I do when I work, so weighing on a Monday I have more bloat than on a Friday. I've found the past couple of Mondays I've been a little bunged up as well, which has all passed by the Friday (sorry TMI)

Weigh day again tomorrow and I'm dreading it.

I've been good all week and although I went out yesterday I did stick to what I planned... so my weight should reflect this, but I don't feel like it's going to :/ will have to just wait and see but yes, dreading it. I just want to see a slow progression of the weight loss, that's what annoys me. It's not like I'm asking for big losses but I would like a lb a week

Hope you've lost some. Some times of the month are worse than others.
