Thanks! Got a 2 week sick note from doctor so happy with that! They also said i could rest at home from now on. Doc said i had moderate but not severe ohss but i can expect it to get worse for the next few days before going down.
Great news Blueflower, keeping my fingers crossed!
Thank you been on stims a few days. I'm doing the short protocol as they want to keep an eye on me due to ohss risks! Things should go pretty quickly X
Rest up and drink lots of water Maria, look after yourself and your bean! 2 weeks off is good as you need to rest and heal and start to make a person! Xxx
You can get it after egg collection in sure that's common, if it's detected before egg collection they change your trigger shot and you have a freeze all cycle like me xxx
I had no idea of any of this but doc explained all today . You can have an "early onset " of ohss or which i think i very close after trigger/EC so perhaps 2-3 days after EC. Thats when they might cancel ET. Then you can have "late onset" ohss like i have which is when pregnancy hormones start the ohss. Its HCG hormone for trigger injection and HCG when pregnant. I started to get uncomfortable friday 6dp5dt and has gone worse every day. Probably had very mild ohss after EC but not enough to stop ET.
They told me in clinic today but knew it was ohss yesterday
I had mild OHSS after egg collection I was in agony a couple of days after and my abdomen was so swollen!! But by my 5 day transfer it had settled a bit so we went ahead with transfer.
My scan went ok thanks ladies (forgot to update). They said everything looks as it should at this stage with my left ovary being more active. I didn't get detailed results as I had a student or trainee nurse do the meeting. She was accompanied during the scan but on her own in the meeting and really not ready to be alone, but she has to learn. X
Heya Ladies
I am sorry to pop in so late on in the thread.
Firstly a massive good luck to you all
Anyways, my question... I do apologise in advance if this turns out like a long one ...
As some may or may not know I have came over to the Long Term group. I have posted a few threads and have been greatly thankful for the responses and support I have got.
I have my fertility app the beginning of next month. I don't know the outcome, I don't know what will be said. I have PCOS and in a same sex relationship been in the TTC boat for 4 years now. Well 4 year in Jan.
I have found a massive amount of information on IVF and their treatment and criteria. However, I can not find much when it comes to IUI criteria. All I know is the criteria is it can be offered to people with unexplained fertility problems, same sex, or if intercourse is an issue etc ...
My question is, is the criteria for IUI the same as IVF when it comes to weight, smoker status, previous children etc?
Thank you in advance.
Hi little Dalla, welcome to the group
I'm not sure, but would assume so given that it's fertility treatment none the less. I'm sure they will tell you in your meeting though, I could be wrong. We were straight in to ivf so not sure on iui funding.
Wishing you a successful journey though xxx
Thank you CDA. I think I will have to wait for our app.
As I don't even know if we will be given funding yet, I think I am just being impatient.
The only hope I have at he moment is when my GP Referred me I had to go to a decision maker to determine if I was allowed the referral. Our CCG says to many GPs are referring for referring sake.... So I suppose that has to be a little bit of a good sign?
