Congratulations poispinner that's fantastic!!

And well done CDAbaby that's a great number, after EC I had mild OVHSS and I wish now I had said I was not ok and waited for the transfer later because I was so painful I thought how can my body recover in just 5 days and that was our best quality embryo, so I think if you are bad after EC then waiting and having it done later is only a good thing.

Laura I never did IUI so not sure I can give any advice really...

We got back from a fab very relaxing holiday yesterday we even had lots of sex and I enjoyed it!! Whoo hoo!....

We had our consultation today with a different consultant who seemed very good and he has suggested that we do the same again and do a natural FET he said the fact we got pregnant is great and it was probably just that the embryo was never going to be a baby. He did not think I needed any progesterone because he said the HCG if doubling correctly and going in the right direction will stimulate the ovaries to produce it, he said there is no evidence to suggest it helps either!!

We asked about extra tests incuding natural killer cells and he said that there is not enough evidence to suggest it would prevent prevent us having a baby and that people can have high NK cells but have a baby. He did say however that if this does not work he would be willing to refer us to a lady in Warwickshire who specialises in NK cells and extra testing but he felt we may not get full answers but he would do it to help ease our minds.

So just waiting for my period now and then here we go again!!

At least the holiday has given me back my fighting spirit... As well as a tan!! Baby here we come... please please please

Haven't been online for a few days and lots have happened!

First of all thanks to all the advise on Injections, acupuncture and reflexology.. Having another session on Saturday before I start injections Tuesday!

CDAbaby, what a great number! They will be able to freeze many for sure. Hopefully you won't be needing any frozen ones ( at least for a long time ) but still puts less pressure on this one. Good luck!

Being invited to a party when I start injections ( but not stimulation injections ).. Is it ok to have a glass or 2 of wine??

Mariaisabella I had the odd drink when I started injections and all was fine. As long as you are not planning on getting wasted! I played by the rule of thinking I was already pregnant so cutting out anything you are not suppose to have just to play it safe. However like I said I did have the odd drink on a special occasion.

Thanks Mariaisabella unfortunately I have OHSS so they will all be frozen and we will only have a frozen embryo transfer in a few months time. OHSS review tomorrow at the hospital.
The injections are okay, I didn't drink whilst on them but only by choice, I'm sure a couple won't hurt. Xx

That's a great number CDA! Glad you had a nice holiday Loubalouba and are feeling better. When we got back from our holiday after ivf last year we found out that both our sisters were pregnant with their 2nd which blasted my positivity out of the window so stay strong.
Got my extra scan today to see what's going on, still not had proper AF since July! Sure its due to all the stress with getting the drugs and disorganized staff! Hopefully when stopping the pill AF will arrive and we can get our last family commitment in before appointments start again!

Hi there. Hope it's ok to join this thread. We have our first consultation tomorrow at the fertility clinic. Having to pay private so hopefully all systems go! Did any of you feel nervous before your first apt? Have to say I'm feeling a bit emotional about it all at the moment. Looking forward to getting a good nights sleep tomorrow as I've been thinking far too much this week ha! x

Scan went well, my lining was only 4mm so ready to start! Really wasn't expecting that!!

Just had a call about my day 3 embryo quality. Out of the 13 we have 7 good little growers. 3 at 8 cells 1 top quality 2 good quality. 3 at 7 cells 2 top quality 1 good quality and 1 good 9 cell. Does this sound okay from previous experiences? Not sure whether to be happy or sad at the 50% reduction already xx

Sorry, have no previous experience CDA.. But you seem to still have many left so I am sure you will have many survivors in the end! Are you doing IVF via NHS? I am and have a few questions regarding the embryo transfer. Will they offer patience to have a blastocyst transfer on the NHS or will they always do an earlier transfer?

My hospital said success rate with my age was 40-50% so I assume this means with a Blasto transfer since the chances increases a lot.. Sorry, all this is new to me

Yeah we are nhs and they do offer blastocyst transfer. We get one fresh and one frozen round but as we are a freeze all we will get two frozen attempts which is good. Do you know when your starting yet hun?
