Ladies doing IVF or IUI - 2015 (9 BFPs!)

I don't think you would have continual cramps, might be a bit much!
If an ivf cycle fails, AF can start any time from before OTD to a few days after stopping progesterone. Mine always started 2 days after stopping the progesterone.

Perhaps that is a good sign of implantation bleeding! When would you have got your period in a normal cycle ( long or short LP )?

Keeping everything crossed!!! xx

I've got no idea. Still got it. It's very light and brown but really worried it is AF.

It was the short protocol and apparently AF can arrive any time. If it was a normal cycle then I would be due tomorrow as egg collection (and ovulation) was 13 days ago. My LP is technically 14 days but I often get spotting beforehand xx

It's just got a bit heavier and black. I guess AF will probably come tomorrow. X

Sorry to hear that blueflower :(

Phonixgirl whens your testing day? I really hope it's IB and AF stays away for you xx

It's meant to be Friday but don't think I will get that far. Thank you though. The spotting turned red this morning. :-(

Argh, what is it with me and problems with implantation?! I swear something was going on and the same happened with one of my IUI cycles. I don't have any symptoms now either so unfortunately I'm pretty sure the bleeding is AF. X

Just came on to see how you are Phoenixgirl, hope its not AF.

I am waiting for AF now as I stopped the cyclogest on Sunday. What a waste the scratch and all the extra drugs and appointments were! :(

I know :-( Such a waste of time and money and everything. I feel so upset.

Everything looked so good on paper, I can only put it down to me and implantation. I am going to ask that they increase the dose of Cyclogest for the FET too, in case it's that. Right now I'm wondering if it will ever happen. DH has been sooo good and supportive about it all - another reason I want to cry! Xx

Is it definitely AF Phonixgirl? So sorry you feel down.. Do you pay? I though you were on NHS?

It might be absolutely nothing wrong since everything can be perfect and it wont work the first time unfortunately :(. I am sure you are fine and nothing is wrong with the chances of implanting and you are so young!

Please keep us updated, I still keep my fingers crossed that you get a BFP. xx

Still keeping my fingers crossed for you phonixgirl, it's so disheartened when you suspect it's a bfn :( x

I Came on my period in time for the baseline scan!! I called the clinic to book in and they gave me the last appointment for tomorrow until January!! This has to be a good sign right?! If the scan shows I'm clear of OHSS then we can start our transfer cycle

Sorry phonix :( I really hope it isn't af and is just some unrelated spotting.

Definitely good CDA!

Maria - this was on the NHS but we took all the optional extras that cost money. We only get one go on the NHS here so that's ours gone...

It is definitely AF I'm afraid. I was a little hopeful when the red turned to black but I've just had more red. I have told everyone who knows and they've been really nice but tried to keep my hopes up, bless them. It's difficult because when you know, you know. Like, I think it was trying and something was trying to happen but it just couldn't finish implantation for whatever reason.

I have been reading up on reasons for the failure. I've found 95% are due to a weak embryo (eg chromosome abnormalities) and only 5% due to problems with the uterus. I was surprised my eggs were good quality so I'm hoping it's the former and that they aren't all like it. Xxx

I meant what a waste for me having the scratch and extra drugs etc but no transfer but its a waste for you too if its bfn. Its a hard time for you now as you don't know for definite so can't grieve yet. What is your dose of cyclogest?

If it is a chromosome problem then your other embryos should be ok as you are still young. It often works the 2nd time if not this time. Did you have immune protocol and NK cell testing?

Oh no, I'm so sorry.
Is it proper af blood? Do you normally cramp with af?

Sending hugs xx

Blueflower - no I didn't have immune testing or NK cell testing. I will bring it up on Friday though (unless they just book me in with a consultant, not sure). I'm on 400mg twice a day but I saw someone had it upped to three a day, so it is possible.

Mel - yes it is proper AF blood :-( I used to get really bad cramps until I went on metformin but now I don't get any really.

I've just been looking for second, third, fourth cycle etc success stories in PCOS to cheer me up and there are quite a few. I've seen in a couple of places that they prefer to do a FET (and not do the fresh transfer at all) in PCOS patients because the drugs aim to overstim you. This means your hormones go into overdrive and aren't the most receptive for an embryo. I was on a low dose and only got 9 eggs but I did feel really poorly after EC - it would be so good if this was the reason! Xxx
