No not told him, we agreed to test on Thursday so he might throttle me he hates faint lines so I know he'll be delighted if I can show him it in writing! He just phoned me and it was so hard not to say eek!

Hi Ladies, I hope you don't mind me jumping in I have been watching your posts in this thread for a while now. Firstly congratulations MrsS15 how exciting and also hopeful for the rest of us.

I had my first IVF consultation 4 weeks ago tomorrow, my partner and I have both had the bloods done and he has his IVF semen test tomorrow. I am due to start my period on Saturday, I just wondered if you guys could advise me is there a specific cycle day you have to start the IVF cycle on? xxx

How exciting things are moving for you. Do you mind me asking your background?
In terms of cycle days it depends on what protocol is best for you. There's long or short. Long usually starts on cd21 of of your cycle and takes 6 weeks from start to finish. Short starts around the beginning of your cycle and takes about 4 weeks all in. If you have a wee google of the clinic you're under they usually break it all down for you! Keep us updated xx

OMG MrsS this looks amazing! Not to get your hopes up anymore but I did one of those tests the day before my AF was due and it came up with exactly the same faint line - I threw it away thinking it was an evap line and the next day did a digi and got my BFP. I'm so hopeful for you!!!

Thanks Helen I've had 3 of them so I'm praying they aren't all evaps! I'm going to do a frer in the morning and hopefully the digi. Still can't imagine seeing those words! How have you been feeling with your little miracle? Xx

Thank you MrsS15 I am just trying to work out when I will start, yes of course here are my details -
Myself any my partner both 34, he has 2 children from previous relationships, I did fall preg when I was 17, I have regular periods on the dot, we have both had all test bloods, he has had 2 semen, I have had HSG, internal scan etc and all fine, both normal weight wise, we have been trying for over 2 years now so been classed as infertile
The only thing that showed up slightly dodgy for me is that my thyroid was 4.8 which is fine by normal docs but not fertility docs, but I have tablets and is now under 2 which is fine.
Do you mind me asking what your situation was? Just so exciting to know you have got your BFP, was it your first cycle also? xxx
