We were playing a game with his son called headbands where you put a headband on and a card and you have to guess what you are animal, object etc, he had put a card in saying will you marry me and it was driving me mad as I couldn't guess it haha bless him! Xx

I love how supportive this forum is. And non bitchy.

And I'm probably going to sound like a massive bitch here but it's actually driving me crazy how many new people post on the am I pregnant or ttc forums saying " please help I desperately hope I'm not pregnant" lately. So many. There isn't one woman on here ttc not absolutely dying for a positive test. like wtf it's a "we all want babies asap" forum not a "fuck I may not be pregnant" one. Rant over but seriously

Shan, are you on about the one who had an abortion and thinks Shea pregnant like 3 weeks later? I had a rant on her forum lol. She deleted everything by the time I got bk to read what she put. But I think she was trying to compare a mc to an abortion :/ don't usually have ago at people on here but was a really stupid cow xD x

Well yes but I missed most of it because she started to delete. But I've seen a few lately. It drives me crazy when people are asking us to tell them they aren't accidentally pregnant with the baby they don't want while others here are desperate for that exact situation. They ask here because the ladies on this forum know all about getting pregnant. So apparently will know if the poster is hopefully not pregnant. I dont either usually and I like how non judgemental it usually is here ( I know I seem completely judgemental now though!) but ugh! It seems so insensitive to the girls with issues ttc xx

My SIL spent an evening telling me how my four losses were something she knew all about as she knows exactly what it's like to lose a pregnancy....she had an abortion!

Those threads drive me nuts too. I dud pipe up with a bloke that was posting a few months ago. In a nice but definitely firm way.

I also find that these type posts increase during half term, so those I never bother wasting my time with.

Omfg no that's ridiculous, as if that's even close to the same thing! I'm surprised you kept your cool at that GG. I'd like to think I'm more pro choice ( up to a point) since I don't think anyone should be told what to do with their own body and all that, even though personally I could never have one ever. But to compare an elective abortion with a miscarriage, which you can have no control or say over, is a flipping joke! Honestly what is wrong with some people?

I’m personally pro-choice, but that thread was nonetheless incredibly insensitive... I’m sure that there are other fora for people worried about unwanted pregnancy that offers them the advice and support they need, but this isn’t the correct forum and it’s probably fairly obvious! My friend had an abortion after an unplanned and unwanted pregnancy, it was the sensible thing for her to do at the time, she wasn’t in the right place in her life and although it was a tough decision it was probably right... and these decisions are never easy and often very painful. But yeah, as I say this was not the right place for her to come for advice really and to be fair she did get some good objective advice even if she refused to see it.

I’ve been away for the week and hadn’t got around to posting my scan pic, I’ll try to do it tomorrow

Agree Fela. I have no problem with any women's personal choice. I had a friend as a teenager who had one and it certainly was the only choice for her. And everyone is different and I really hope I don't come across like I'm judging anyone for their choices. But sometimes you have to wonder with some of the posts we get and how they ask what they do.

But anyway. On to nicer things! Ooh yes let's see that baby pic tomorrow! I reckon he or she wants to be introduced to the forum already lol Xx

Each to their own. I didn't say anything to SIL as just no point and I absolutely support any woman's choice to end a pregnancy. It would have just caused problems and no point when they're already difficult enough.

Yep I saw the thread too and it really did wind me up. And PB she did compare. She said something along the lines of wouldn't you be happy for someone if they were pregnant after a miscarriage so it's the same thing... No it's not! She was starting to get quite rude, I reported the post anyway.
I do understand there are some scared girls out there etc, but I agree shan there's an awful lot lately! Since when were people not taught about contraception if you're not ready for a baby?!

I see I have missed a serious discussion here! Sometimes a healthy rant is good for everybody. I don't visit the ttc section anymore and I am happy I didn't see that post. Sadly some people are incurably insensitive and dumb!

On a happy note - scan at 9:15 today! Followed by consultant appointment x
