Just thought I'd start a new thread for us July mummies, be nice to share updates and advice - i know i certainly always need some!

Looking forward to seeing all the July mumma's move over :)

xx

We are doing ok! How r u feeling?

He was weighed today and is now 9lb 6 at 3weeks and 2 days.

I've struggled a little bit emotionally but getting better slowly I think I've just been very overwhelmed by it all xx

It's such a huge adjustment and every day is different so it's completely normal to feel so overwhelmed by it all. Don't let it get you down and the best thing you can do is surround yourself with people and don't confine yourself to the house (easier said than done I know).
That weight is very impressive, he must be feeding well!!

I'm recovering ok I think. I did walk up the shop yesterday and was wiped out when I got home so I think I still have a way to go yet.
Lo unfortunately has colic so if she's not feeding or sleeping she is crying. It's very draining but hoping some colief drops help x

Where have all the July mummies gone?

How are all your LO's getting on?

xx

Any July mums still around? 6 months today for mine. How are you all getting on?

July mummy here! My boy has just turned 6months too - he has been a brilliant baby up until now! lol I just posted a thread about it actually, have a read :)

Other then this his doing great! How's ur little
One? xx

I've seen that! Unusual, can't relate to that specific issue though unfortunately but mine does have his own sleep issues 're naps which I also posted a thread on! What time does your boy go to bed at night?
Have you introduced solids yet? We've started a month ago but really not taking to purees, much more interested in gumming finger food as he does a toy so don't feel getting very far with it yet

Oh it's nice to know we aren't the only ones struggling, my little lad isn't taking to purees much either, Everything I read says to just persevere with it so I'm trying to stay positive lol

He goes to bed about 7.30, we work on a 8 to 8 routine so I aim to have him up at 8 the lastest and in bed by 8 at the latest. His always been a fantastic sleeper and never needs settling, I can just put him down and he'll go off to sleep but his been testing us the last couple of days! Although his gone down well tonight so fingers crossed!!

I used to reallly stress over his daytime naps, always worrying he weren't sleeping enough etc and ended up getting really run down so I decided to just let him do what he wants.. I let him control when he wants to sleep. As he sleeps well
At night I don't really worry about it too much. Some days he'll go all day with only 30-40 minutes sleep and others he'll sleep from every other hour.

Im back at work already too so I'm just exhausted all the time at the minute!

X

Also re the naps.. my lo is super grumpy when his tired too, I can tell when he needs to nap as he starts whining and grumbling and rubbing his eyes,, I have found that if I just leave him to have a grumble he will fall asleep. The more attention I give him the longer it takes him to fall asleep. As I said above I used to really stress about it but I think you have to just roll with it! x

Thanks, I try to avoid speaking or eye contact during the moans, just wait it out until see his mouth go dummy shaped again then whip it straight back in. Until he pops it out for next round of moans! I'll keep trying to persevere here and let it continue as it is. How did tonight's bedtime go another night In?
My boy goes down 6:30-6:30, earlier than would like ideally but he did very much set that himself and I don't mind as husbands alarm for work is just before that anyway. I'm not back at work yet..thinking May. Are you part time? Who is doing the baby sitting for you? Can only imagine how exhausting it is and what another upheaval to routines! And keeping fingers crossed on the day when he suddenly can't enough of purees rather than chucking them all away :) will be amazed!
