July 2016 Mummies to be!

Hey ladies, hope you all had a fab Christmas! I finished work on the 18th and have just been non stop since then as my cousin got married last Wednesday and I was her bridesmaid so it's been a crazy time. Christmas was lovely. We announced to family on Christmas Day. I had a box with a bunch of helium balloons in pink and balloon and tied the scan pic to it plus there was also an I'm going to be a big sister tshirt for my little girl to wear. Everyone loved it. I'm annoyed I didn't get a picture though. I've also jumped a week in my pregnancy - for some reason I had it in my head I was 13 weeks tomorrow but from my ticker I can see I am actually 14 (who stole my week!)

Does anyone else want to take over and set up the thread in Tri 2? I'm officially a June mummy now so it seems a little odd to start it and I've not done a very good job of keeping this one up to date of late - sorry.

I'm not on FB, but may have to reluctantly join soon as it seems like a lot of communication with NCT etc happens through there as well!
We've got our last (all being well) scan with the EPU on Wednesday and then our proper dating scan on the 20th January, when we'll be 13 weeks. So I've got a little over 3 weeks before I'll be joining you in Tri 2.
I'm really looking forward to kicking off this year, I've bought loads of maternity clothes in the sales, have joined up to start pregnancy yoga after our scan on the 20th, have reserved our places on an NCT course and think we're going to check out the pram we have our eye on tomorrow, all very exciting xx

Unicorn how have you not joined Facebook ? Pretty much all my communication with some of my friends is through fb now.
You could always create a profile just for nct stuff etc ? I need to look up the net sales for the next year as they're fantastic for bargains. I'm not bothering with nct or antenatal classes this time as I didn't do anything the 'right' way with dd but they're good to point you in the right direction and make friends. It's a shame really as I was 19 last time so just didn't fit in anywhere as the youngest mum was 35 so it was a big difference x

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. Ours was lovely. I really enjoyed my dinner , it was amazing. Hubby spoilt me rotten and I feel terrible because his present still hasn't arrived xx

I have another scan on the 30th xx can't wait to see my wiggly bean again!

Poor eva is teething, her screaming is really bad and not even I can settle her. I feel so usless x

I've kind of got a complete aversion to FB but think I may have to try and get over it seeing as schools and everywhere seem to be using it as their main form of communication! We're mainly doing NCT to meet couples in a similar situation in our area. I'm aware that our socialising is going to change significantly so it would be nice to develop a new, supportive social circle xx

Hey guys well it's been a right old Christmas! I don't think I have ever been able to say I've lost 5 and a half pound over Christmas! I have been ill with a bug throwing up and digarrrea since Boxing Day. Then today we've had the scare of that u started bleeding with clots so I'm worried now! We've just been to the doctors and she isn't too worried as she can hear the placenta fine with a Doppler she just couldn't find the heartbeat, she said it was moving around too much. She has managed to get me an appointment at epu on Thursday at 2.30pm so it's just fingers crossed from there! I'm 11 weeks tomorrow! Xx

That sounds worrying Rach glad you can hear the placenta whooshing fine so hopefully everything's ok. I had my last scan at epu today and babies measuring 12+3 and kicking away they won't change my dates now but will look again next week and see. I'm so shattered now can barely move as we've been at the hospital from about 8 am and left at 3 as our appointments were so spread out.

We've got another scan in the morning at the epu, then thinking that will be our last one until our dating scan at 13 weeks. I always feel so nervous before a scan xx

Oh no Mel have you been suffering with IBS too. I was having horrendous pain every night but it seems to have settled down now x

Still getting g some cramps but we have a scan later so hopefully all is well xx
