Cd13 and first flashing smiley of the cycle! Fingers crossed it turns into a solid!

I’m thinking of using opks next cycle, could someone recommend a brand and remind me how they work? I used them for a few months back in 2014 when ttc my daughter but didn’t get on well with them x

I use clearblue advanced opks, they have an empty circle for non fertile days, flashing when your ovulation is approaching and solid smiley for a positive opk. I like them because I can use fmu instead of trying to organise my drinks etc in the afternoon x

These are the ones I was considering. Think I’ll just bite the bullet and buy some x

Echoing what Sugar said Rainbow.
I don’t get on well with the cheap ones as I have to use them in work and work out when I’m allowed to drink water etc. It’s a pain in the bum. The clear blue ones you use fmu and that’s it for the day and they are more accurate I think, no judging the lines.
I would however invest in the 20 pack, I got the 10 pack 1st cycle I used them and I run out the day before I was going to get a peak. Was so annoying. And least if you have any left you can use them for next cycle (but hopefully you won’t need to) xx

If you are a pee on a stick addict like me then I’d say go for the internet cheapies such as one step just because I know the clear blue OPKs are almost £1 per pee haha. It depends what you prefer x

Thank you! Think I’ll do that, there’s a 20 pack on amazon that I’ll order later. I’m supposed to be on holiday this month when I ovulate so I’ll just take some with me x

I got mine from amazon too.
Perfect for holiday too, you won’t need to worry about going missing for 10 mins, 3 times a day to use the cheapies. X

Yeah that’s really not practical is it? I think I used clearblue last time but they were pink ones. Maybe the lower version than the advanced ones x

CD6 for me today and almost straught into fertile window, I've got some Conceive Plus for this cycle to replace my Preseed, looking forward to giving that a go :)

I second Char with going for the 20 pack if you can. I was lucky to get my positive Opk on the last stick but I would have been so annoyed if I hadn't had enough! I didn't use the same ones as Char though, mine were digital but gave a yes no smiley with no flashing option. They were slightly cheaper but I'm out of the UK so didn't have the option of amazon.

The other thing with the digital is that you can use Fmu with them. And since you don't have to do several per day you won't need to hold your pee or avoid drinking water to make sure your urine is concentrated enough.

Thank you! Will do  x

hi rainbow, can i throw in my recomendations while at it re: opks.
i personally use one step extra width opks £5 for 50
i had 2 cycles where for life of me i couldnt get a positive as i was taking them 2pm etc.. i swopped for one cycle to fmu with them and havent looked back! tbh they work probably as well as clearblues for fmu lh testing purposes...
id personally give both a try and see do both fmus etc...

Wow @Hendy1 your cycles go so quickly it seems (probably doesn't go quickly for you i imagine)
So glad your geared up and ready for next cycle. I have a new tube of conceive plus that i will be using this cycle too.
Last cyle i used it for about 6 days, but all on the wrong bloody days. I ovulated so much later than i thought i did!! xx

Ha, yes they do go quickly as I only have 23 or 24 day cycles. Trouble is the fun part is over so quick as I have no wait between AF and fertile window but my LP is 12/13 days so the TWW is nearly as long as everyone else's :???:
I had one cycle where I used my Preseed at all the wrong times as I ovulated early - annoying isn't it!!

How are you doing?
