The dr wants to do HCG quant bloodwork tomorrow it is called. Is this a good thing?

Hey. I’d say this is a good thing. They will be checking the levels to see if there is a pregnancy and if so levels of hcg. I’ve been to doctors who have point blank refused any blood work at all. So good your doctor taking you seriously. Good luck.

I just dont see anything showing up. Why would ok if I were pregnant...a test be faint (besides the bright one 3 weeks ago) and my other hcg bloodwork be negative and I have had no actual period since October? I dont understand. Sorry just I feel so stupid right now. None of this makes any sense. They are also testing blood sugar and insulin. I dont even know why but thats fine by me.

They may just be covering everything. I know it’s so frustrating. You must be going crazy with this but you’ll have answers soon x

They surely have to be looking for a pregnancy?
Insulin etc COULD be linked to a pcos test? Not sure tho... perhaps checking you have ovulated? but not sure

I doubt they will be testing insulin but they are probably doing a HBA1C which will tell them your average blood sugar for the past 3 months.

I’m diabetic and have never had an insulin level tested. It sounds like they are doing general hormone checks.

Their specific wording in my message box was "fasting insulin and fasting blood sugar". Thats why I said the insulin. I am so sorry you guys to post so much I feel so confused I cannot wait to get answers

Yes I know haha! I tested (what I knew was too early) on the 28th and got a negative, thought about it New Years Day but thought Naa I have no reason to suspect, then tested just for the fun of it yesterday and got a solid second line! Couldn’t believe it! Xx

That’s just a one off test then that will only show your blood sugars on the day you have it. I suppose some GPs will do this before the average one but I know mine doesn’t bother anymore. It will only give a snapshot of that day. Either way I wouldn’t worry. It’ll be a full hormone screen I think along with the others they are doing.

Snap! I’m also 7DPO sand really itching to test ekkk! Haha. I usually have a 28 day cycle but I only ovulated on CD 20 this time so not sure if this is normal for me or not. best to hold out and test after 10DPO x

Its so hard to wait but i am! I feel like ive had loads going on down there so really hoping this month is lucky! Good luck for when you test ❤
