*** January 2017 Mummies ***

Does anyone know which shops have good maternity clothes? I have only seen a maternity dept in Debenhams but haven't really been looking before! I'm not showing yet but am thinking I might do soon!

Got my midwife appt booked for next week too!

Hey hon lots of people have said about Dotty P's, H&M and asos for good maternity clothes as well as M&S?

Yay for your midwife appointment I have ours on the 17th X

Oh yes I remember H&M have a large dept, I wandered in there by accident last year as the clothes looked nice! What's Asos?

That's awful about your SIL waking you up early, could your DH say something? Some people just don't think. Could you tell them you are having trouble sleeping and do they mind if you have a bit of a lie in. Have you got earplugs? I've had to resort to those with the cat miaowing outside the bedroom door! If we let her in she climbs all over me and wakes me up that way at about 5!

Asos is an online clothing store seems to have lots of nice bits X

We've said it a few times quite obvious and loud and even said we weren't walking today because of being awake all night & being awake early! Just gets laughed off as if it's nothing! Very frustrating but last day today and back home to our nice comfy bed tomorrow lol!! X

That's just so inconsiderate. If possible, don't visit anymore during your pregnancy. If they ask, tell them the truth, you need your sleep to create a new life.

It's super annoying! But luckily it's just a weeks family holiday and we are home tomorrow and there's no plans for another one until next year when our babies will be here ! X

January 2nd here and congrats on all of you! :)
Have gone trough period-like pain and terrible breast pain, the morning (more like "the evening") sickness has begun and starting to feel a bit tired.
Otherwise it's going well, waiting for my 12 week screening now! Excited!

Hi ladies! I'm being a bit cheeky here, I'm due 1st Feb but could go either side! Congratulations to you all ladies and lots of twins! X

Welcome! Period like pain is just the worse especially when your sick all day! I've heard the placenta starts taking over around nine weeks so hoping the sickness dies down!
And April of course you can hang in here. Those due dates are a bit out until the 12 weeks scan army they x

Thanks Paige!

I'm still waiting to hear from the midwife for the first time, can't come soon enough to get the ball rolling! I haven't really had any symptoms tbh so I feel like it's a bit in my head up to now! The few people that know always ask how I'm feeling, but I feel no different! Xx

Welcome! Enjoy feeling ok. I am at the stage where the initial excitement is wearing off( not that I'm not excited, it's just sort of old news now) and I'm fed up of feeling like crap.

It's starting to get me down, I'm exhausted all the time, feel like I have to eat all the time. I feel really bloated and uncomfortable. Anyone else feeling like this?

Oh I haven't had my booking in appointment yet either. called clinic today and was told that a midwife would be in touch, have had my scan date though.

I seriously look about 20 weeks pregnant. I'm not sure if this is related to the fact I have a cysts on my ovary also which is 4cm. anyone know if this would casue me to look more pregnant. I'm eating like a pig as well which doesn't help, as that's the only thing that stops me feeling sick

Ooh that's reassuring, I'm scared about coming off all the drugs so if my placentas are already in place that makes me feel a bit better, thanks!

Hello lovelies! Feel like I haven't been on here for ages! Had a busy few days, son's birthday yesterday and had family down visiting which was lovely. Back to reality today. Exciting news from this end is that my doppler arrived on Monday and I found the HB after a lot of searching! Also our scan date came through today and it's next Thursday so sooner than I expected but I'm glad as I was worried it'd clash with our holiday in a fortnight. I'll be 11w4d by my calculations. Can't wait! X

So exciting for you both getting your scan dates! I can't wait to get mine! I'm expecting it to be around mid/end July just before we go away for two weeks! Xx

Had to take a couple of paracetamol tonight! I have a cracker of a headache that just hasn't shifted all day!! I've googled and asked around and seems that a couple of paracetamol is ok as long as it's not regular

Thanks Paige!

Your not alone Haha. I can't seem like work out the right balance of food 😩 too much and your sick, too little sick! I've found little and often is working best for me!

Anyone else gone completely off chocolate?! I am!! Very weird!
How your all keeping well! X

Oooo how exciting about the scan date! My widwife app is next Wednesday. I'll be ten weeks exactly so hopefully it won't be too hard to book in my scan!
Fbttn I've been told paracetamol is fine as it doesn't cross over the placenta but ibuprofen does? X

Ah thanks hon that's good to know X

Haven't posted for a while but morning sickness is really starting to get me down and I don't feel like I can moan about it in real life. I think I could handle it if it was only at certain times in the day, but I feel horrendous from waking up to going to bed. I know I'm lucky to be pregnant, and I don't want to come across as ungrateful because I really am not, but I really need this sickness to end soon before I go mad.

I am the same, don't want to moan as I'm so grateful to be pregnant but it is horrible feeling sick! I don't have it all day like you though, the longest it lasts is all evening. The only plus side is that you have lots of HCG and are unlikely to miscarry and hopefully it will get better after 12 weeks. :hugs:

Has anyone got a name for their embryo/foetus yet? DH always called our embryos ‘the 'bros’ when we had IVF and he did this time too, now they are foetuses he calls them ‘the foets’! My SIL called her first one ‘Spud’ as she looked like a potato on the scan! I call them the wigglies or just the babies or the twins!
