January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Knew I shouldn't have bloody googled short femur measurements

Nooooo Google is the devil! Try not to think about anything you may of read! Bare in mind a short measurement can be even 1ml shorter than 'standard'. Not always a bad thing just protocol to see you again. !! xxxx

Glad your scans went well! I'm sure the leg bones will catch up Kate but it must be hard not to be concerned. So did your partner and daughter have their hearts set on a boy? My mum upset me by being disappointed we didn’t have one of each, I've got used to it now.
Sorry about your sad news Holdingthumbs, it does seem sometimes when we get good news something bad happens too.

You got Skips Sarah! I forgot! Been at a multiple births antenatal class today, it was quite interesting! Mentally draining and very uncomfortable chairs though!

Kate, mine have short legs and large tummies at every growth scan. They aren't going to be runway models hehe xx

It wasn't a small discrepancy unfortunately, she's -3 below the lowest centile.. I'm trying not to let my imagination run wild, let's hope she was in a funny position or something.. Already starting to blame myself for not eating better etc. We really do torture ourselves!

Yes my other half really wanted a boy and that really rubbed off on my daughter.. It's difficult dealing with other people's expectations when all you want is a healthy baby..

That does sound draining Blueflower! I can imagine you've now got a lot of information to process.. And boo to uncomfy chairs! Who's idea was that at an antenatal class! xx

I did lol only Tesco version but tasty ha ha

That sounds interesting? How did you find that ? Boo to uncomfortable chairs! I've got a thing about chairs at the moment as my him goes so numb in rubbish ones ha ha ! X

Forgot to say Aldi have their baby & toddler event starting on the 22nd X

Aldi event has already started where I am, haven't seen anything of interest though yet.

I agree boo to uncomfortable chairs! Standing up from sitting on a hard seat is the worst these days. The pain of walking is getting really bad, so midwives kindly referred me for physio next week - I found the pregnancy bump support belt things useless so far, although others have had success with them.

Hm Kate, I read someone saying they were induced at 34 weeks with their twins because the doctor did a growth scan and thought one hadn't grown in a month and was much smaller than the other, so they rushed them into theatre for emcs and the babies turned out to be pretty healthy and equal sizes, so measurements definitely aren't always accurate, especially of the legs. xx

I am absolutely wiped out from today! Got upset because we can't find the right pram! Tried to have a nap but too tired. Needed a walk but too tired! Dread to think how the girls at 28 & 34 weeks felt! If I have to sit on a hard chair for 6 hours with only short breaks again I will lie on the cushions!
Mentoned how early twins can come so must make our list! Someone on here who already has a child wrote a really good list of the basics you need but I can't find it! Can anyone remember when it was please?

Awww sorry for your loss Holdingthumbs.

Thanks Holdingthumbs :-) Feeling better today, hoping it will last. Going in to work, have to deliver the cupcakes. It's my birthday tomorrow so I made brownie cupcakes with Nutella frosting and mini Oreos on top.

Abi, sorry but that's not a great friend. Does she have kids of her own? I don't think you're meant to start monitoring movements until the third trimester? And only after they've started to become regular. Happy the baby is healthy and active though. :-)

Happy birthday Rhiandell!

I was told but so many people in the first trimester that I should be feeling ill & everything twice as bad as I had twins that I worried myself silly that something was wrong! People just don't realise what they say do they!!

Yup yesterday was soooooooo hot but today it's raining and lovely in Essex ha ha

Mmmmm the M&S version are delicious!

Oh my goodess speaking of hot! It was 91 degrees, 32 in Celsius today, it will be 94 degrees, 34 in Celsius tomorrow, and 99 degrees, 37 in Celsius Sunday! Woo! But I live in the desert, this is actually our cooling down time. In the summer it gets to be like 116 degrees, 46 in Celsius. We love it when rain comes, those are the best days. :) I love the monsoon season. That's when we get lovely torrential rains. :)

Oh, glad everyone's scans went well. Mine were good as well. We've all got some nice healthy babies.

Oh I just saw what you posted Kate. Do't worry about the measurements, they could be off, plus baby has plenty of time to get a growth spurt. :) Try not to worry about it even though I know it's easier said than done. And never ever google anything. LOL Back away from google! :)

Wow Papermoon now that's hot! Lol I'm hoping you guys have lovely air conditioning ? X

Yes! :) Air conditioning is mandatory here! In the car, at work and at home. :) It's like those youtube videos where people put a frying pan on the ground and can fry an egg in it like that, or the ones where people put a sheet of cookie dough in their car and go shopping and when they come back to the car the cookies are done. LOL! But as long as I stay inside somewhere I can stay cool because every building has air conditioning. :good:

I feel hot and bothered just thinking about that kind of heat PaperMoon! :'D

Wow now that's hot ha ha and here we are complaining about our two days ha ha not many places have air con because it's not necessarily but we need it when the hot days are here ha ha
I'd love to go to Arizona, I've always wanted to do a typical British tourist thing & visit & camp in the Grand Canyon lol

Cool! If you do, now you know to plan it during the cooler months haha. :good:

Oh you poor thing! I am not a heat person at all.. Cooled way down where we are today, so glad to be wearing a cardi :) Thanks all for your assurances, the initial panic has gone and I am sure she'll be fine! Glad they're keeping an eye though so let's hope she has a grow in the next 4 weeks :) Another excuse to keep downing the milk!! Hope you have/had an amazing Birthday whatever you're doing Lisa, hope the sickness has stayed at bay at least! xxx
