What do you think of the name amelia?

I love it but I keep thinking it might be too poplular so it's putting me off.

I know it shouldn't really matter but I don't want my daughter to end up been 1 of 20 in her school.
 DH says we should just go with what we like and I should stop worrying about the ranking!!
What do you think? :D

EDIT...my pol was supposed to say 'no-don't like it'
I can't edit the pol so just tell me if you don't like the name.

Thanks xxxx

i love the name

i know a few amelia babies by me but i think it depends in the area you live?

Added for you :)

i put dont choose :rotfl: it was our original choice for harriet but omg every 2nd mum i spoke to was also having it too. time our babies are school age half the class will be ameilia.

at nursery alana is called alana.c as there was already an alana and i hate that the teachers call her that.. so much so we have swapped her middle and 1st name around :rotfl:

I don't know any Amelia's, and I think your DH is right, go with what you love

I think it's a lovely name and don't know of any other Amelia's around here.

I only know one Amelia and she has spent her life being known as Mel. The only person who calls her Amelia is her mother.

I like the name btw :)

Thats a beautiful name, I only ever knew one girl called Amelia so I'd go for it!

I have only heard of two Amelia's!
Milly next door and a friends DD! Ones 10 and the other 7!
I love the name and may add it too my list yet!!

ive never heard anyone call their child it, its a nice name.. i live in n.ireland so maybe thats why...

I love the name. If you think its too common why not consider Amilie (pronounced A-Mi-Li) , that is going to be my nieces name if my sister has a girl :)
