Bare in mind about 3rd hand smoke too. This is when harmful chemicals from smoking linger in clothes etc, and even come out of the pores in their skin. Asking them to leave at least 30mins of no smoking time before seeing a new born is absolutely within your prerogative as a mother. Maybe speak to your OH. He will likely be more comfortable saying to his own parents xx
