How are all you new mummies doing?

I wasn't sure thomas could deal with the loud bangs from the fireworks so we're waiting till he's older. Both the local displays start at 7.30 which would be just about ok with his bedtime but the crowds are ridiculous and its a 25 minute display, with some massive bangs. We live 2 1/2 miles away and can hear and see them clearly.

I'm on mission decorate bedroom now before our bed arrives at some point. Did the walls today and most of the woodwork. I just need to wallpaper the feature wall tomorrow and finish glossing.

Sold quite Abit on eBay too. Both Highchairs went awhile ago (bought them for £60 got £94) and some other stuff including the meerkat toys that have been clogging up our house. Got £30 For baby Oleg!!

I'm not going to be taking like anywhere near fireworks for a few years - they'll just scare him and he won't see the point of them. I was injured by a firework when I was young so I don't like them much, especially ones not ran professionally.

It's a maxi-cosi pebble. Hopefully ours will dry out quickly too. It's nuts that things designed for babies aren't easy to clean!

We won't be taking her to fireworks for a few years. Too late and too noisy - she cries at the noise when we open a parcel!

Hope you get it cleaned maud.

I'm shattered!! S was awake every 20/30 mins from 11-2 and eventually had to get her a bottle then. She was waking herself up coughing out this virus and was beside herself! Back up at 630 for another bottle and is still lying awake :wall: hubby is on nights this week and I have to go back to work on tomorrow, I don't know how ill cope with so little sleep and dealing with her myself when I get home from work and through the night :-(

I'm tired too :( just downstairs with Oscar while hubby has an extra hour - I was at the salon 5 hours yest so he deserves it lol! He went to his mates last night for a few hours too

It is hard Hun :( but you find a way to Get on with it to be honest

Osvars been ill for 4 weeks, meds, conjunctivitis , now got an inhaler as his cough is that bad and his chest - it's just awful

Poor S though x

Aw poor wee oscar too :-( the coughs the worst part eh? You can hear it in their chest and you just wanna cough it out for them. Is he being sick with it? I just keep thinking that if we can get through the week we have had, the rest must be easier surely. Plenty mummy cuddles all round I think x

How's things on the job front for your hubby too Bex? x

Another dreadful night here too. Not only was she up multiple times, she threw up on my OH twice. I hate these colds!

If it helps I washed the seat to a stroller I got second hand and I put it in the dryer and it was absolutely fine x

Well I am fuming. Hayleys been brought home by my ex at 10am. He hasn't fed her a single drop of milk! He said well I gave her banana for breakfast. I told him he needs to give milk first (reminded him i told him that when i first started weaning) his reply: Well i thought the point of weaning was to get her on solid food not bottles. So i just gave my girl her bottle and she drank it within seconds! So annoyed and upset that shes going without. Now she's all out of her routine. So angry and upset now.

Seriously!!! This makes my blood boil. What kind of useless idiot is he?!? Surely someone in his family is telling him he's wrong? I can't believe he thinks that's ok. What a #@&"

Perhaps you could find a link about weaning on the net (nhs because he's more likely to agree?) & send it him for reading so he knows milk is very much an important factor?

I have no idea what I need to do to make him realise she needs fed. It's common sense! I tell him to feed her, he doesn't bother. Thankfully he doesn't see her again until wednesday, and he have mediation on tuesday. So if he doesn't agree to feed her and stick within her routine im thinking ill stop contact and he can speak with his solicitor to take it further. I can't knowingly let him take hayley and not be feeding her any longer.

Insist on a written log in mediation? Then that way he can see everything she has. Point out that it's obviously not easier to verbally communicate because he's not listening

I'd def stop contact he sounds a shit dad it's neglect Kerry I would let someone look after Macie if I thought they weren't going to look after her even if it was her dad! Xxxx

I've washed our car seats a few times. I just put them over a radiator, or towel rail and they are dry in a few hours.

I think Emma must be used to the loud noise in our house that she wasn't even bothered with the fireworks. If Chris and I are yelling for the older two. Emma laughs her head off. Lol

Omg Kerry! I think he needs a written schedule to follow. And if he doesn't, then tell him he can't have her during feed times. Put this incident at the top of the list for mediation. I'm pretty sure if he's neglecting feeding her, the courts will totally understand.

Got Emma's walker thing out tonight. She was so excited. She walked about a bit, but with me slowing it down so she didn't face plant. Was 10 mins before bedtime though so she was tired. Will give it another go tomorrow when she's wide awake :-)
