How are all you new mummies doing?

Wow Nat you're mum really is a fighter! I can imagine just how proud you are of her x

Good to hear S enjoyed nursery! Hopefully she sleeps through and feels better tomorrow with her cold.

Hayley has been pretty whingey today, but she's been teething really badly. Going to go to get her weighed tomorrow hopefully. Haven't been to this clinic at my GPs yet, bit nervous. In my doctors you need to leave your pram outside the waiting room, but I need to phone to book my cervical smear and have no idea how it'll work! As I can't exactly carry Hayley in with me and hold her whilst lying down getting my bits checked. Will ask them tomorrow how they normally do it lol

well after having a bit of a meltdown this morning Ive felt better as the day has gone on, I went to see my mam an we were able to have a chat and a cry! Going to try remain positive now though.. Thanks again for the messages and reassurance :)
We didn't go to baby social as Stanley's got a snotty nose still bit gutted cos they painted pumpkins! but he seems to be sleeping better tonight and is breathing is ok. Fingers crossed for a better night sleep.
we went into town earlier and bought a present for my friends babys naming ceremony on Saturday. I've bought stanley a pair of mustard cord dungarees to wear.. Love that colour on him! X

Weaning question. I was going to make spaghetti bolognese using quorn mince tomorrow and thought hayley can have some too. Would she manage to eat spaghetti, or would I be best using a different type of pasta like penne?

You can buy baby pasta Kerry. It's much smaller in shape and size. Annabel karmel branded. Personally I'd go for penne and make sure it was well cooked and cut up into smaller bits

I would have thought spaghetti would have been fine if you just cut it up into little bits, I think it's be easied to eat than the likes of penne etc!?

I give Luke spaghetti all the time :) I just cut spaghetti up. I also use Heinz baby pasta

Hi ladies just a drop in to see how everyone is doing? I hope everyone is ok. I've been in work for a couple of hours for the last two days as I thought I was going to have no pay in November as my Maternity Allowance finishes at the beginning of november so I get my last payment next week. To my surprised I have got almost 10 weeks holiday to take so I am on annual leave from 6th November :) which still leaves me a week and a half to take between jan and the end of march. I must admit I will be glad to be back on full pay just not so keen on going back in Jan and leaving the LO x

Oscar struggled with spag Bol and swollowing it but has gotton better although he had it the other evening and was sick! :/

why quorn mince? Are you bringing Hayley up veggie? The most common difficiency in children is iron / found in red meats and leafy greens etc :)

I just wizzed the bolognese part abit and cut the spaghetti up like short cut spaghetti and Ryan was fine with it? Beef is a hard one for them to chew. I think Ryan is good with his chewing tho having done a lot of finger food from day one.

Last night I notice a purple line like a bruise under one if his swollen top teeth! Hoping we might have toothipeg number three today or tomorrow! My friend who's LO is 11 months said that's what her top ones did before they made an appearance.... It is however Ryan's lateral incisor not his middle tooth... Fangs for Halloween?! X

He will probably get them all in one go! Hopefully he will be like Ryan and not bothered by it x

No teeth here!

And my friends little girl who was at nursery with Oscar all day tueshas chicken pox!!

She's adamant it's from nursery... Crossing my fingers it's not going to get Oscar as we have to be out the house by 3rd Nov so are moving next weekend!! Argh

Luke has teeth and he bites! Hoping it doesn't turn into a habit but he's just always biting! And taking peoples glasses off

We have a blister! In by the weekend I reckon! :) anyone got any exciting plans today? Rubbish weather here, I'm voting for a pj day! X

I'm sneezing so not planning on much.

But going to mums for tea tonight with like and to get a carpet sweeper for my grandma because she managed to break her Hoover within a week by going over the iced and considering gettingn one for myself for crumbs as Luke kicks up a fuss at the Hoover lol.

I'm also going I look over the info for financing into my level 4 qualification. I have 2 and 3 so I
Could go for a senior position but I want my 4 so I can go into management or possibly look into my assessor award so I can go and work In a college

I hate. I if stuff up! I feel your pain. We moved 5 times in 8 years!

I fear for my life lol grandma got Luke a builder whack a mole thing for Xmas lol - it's like a hammer and nails whack a mole lol we got him a set of remote control, keys and phone thing for Xmas too, nor sure if it's a bad idea or not but might stop him from wanting mine all the time lol

No, she eats meats too. Im making the bolognese for me but can just make a slightly bigger portion to give her some. I've got an NHS weaning booklet that said it's ok to give quorn, as long as she has a varied diet, which she does now as shes really starting to enjoy weaning

Hayley still only has her top front tooth, but even then it's not fully through - popped out the gum a good few weeks ago and hasn't come out any further!

Jojo - Hayley is always stealing glasses! Not fun, especially when me, my mum and my dad all wear glasses. So shes constantly grabbing at them :wall2:

I've moved 5 times in the last 5 years  I find unpacking is much worse than packing :wall2:

Don't need to unpack as it's all going into storage!just got to move oscars clothes from one nursery to another and likewise
For our clothes and shoes

Everything else will sit in a unit for 12 months lol

I hate packing, unpacking is fine though!

We've bought that set for thomas jojo and also an activity house. Got a couple of puzzles and other small things and we're done now. Working on his birthday now
