How are all you new mummies doing?

You're sodding kidding me! I just bought a coat from tesco

All these sales... Love it!!!

Just ignore it kaedin, stick to your guns. Poor wee luke jojo! Feel better soon pumpkin!

We made it to 530!! :-) still early but better than 3. Have her potato mixed with sweet potato so hopefully it worked x

We just bought some extra 6-9 month t-shirts in tesco and debenhams' sales as realised we have lots of trousers/dresses but only 2 tops!

Wish her cold would go away. She's had it for 3 weeks. Poor thing is coughing all the time and we're having to wipe her nose frequently, which she hates. Dread to think what she's going to be like in winter when there are even more bugs going around!

On another note, my OH has told me he doesn't want me to go back to work as he wants me to look after Isabelle and he knows I'll be miserable at work. It's what I want, but I don't know if it's a decision I'd regret in a few years when I want to go back to work and have no career...

Can you go part time? That might work as a solution if you can. I'd love not to have to go to work, but on the over hand I think i would miss not working and I like to have my own money and earn my way

We were up at 5:45 because he's been sleeping on his side and he fell onto is back but he settled straight away

We already decided I wouldn't be going back full-time as she'd spend more time with her nursery carers than me! The plan was for me to ask to go back 3 days a week (as financially it's not much different than 5 days), but we still wouldn't get to spend any quality time with her on those days. It's bad enough for my OH hardly seeing her during the week. Given that I spend all of my time with her at the moment (my OH has taken her out for half an hour twice) I just cannot imagine being away from her for an entire day (8-6). Things might be different if I was going back to my old job, but starting a new job is just an extra level of stress to add to leaving my daughter with strangers. It feels like there's no right answer and what ever I decide I'm going to feel guilty :-(

My throat still feels terrible but no cold yet.

I didn't take anything yesterday, caved in at 2.30am and took paracetamol, it seems to have worked.

I bought thomas a few 9-12 and 12-18 clothes in sainsburys yesterday as they have 25% off.

Maud, you have to do what feels right for you now, I've decided to go back full time but our plan is that we will have another quickly (all going well) so I won't be at work long before a 2nd maternity leave and after that I will probably go part-time for a while until both are at school

The guilt reduces maud when you see how much they develop!

I see Oscar from 6.30-8am and 4.30-7 - 5 days a week at nursery- but he now lnows nursery and home - id love a Wednesday off with him but that's not going to happen ATM

My little girls now 6 and half weeks and its kind of getting easier but im still sleep deprived =(
Im always tired aswell. Never any energy but its all worth it. My little girl is growing beautifully and i cant believe the love i feel for her.

Difflam spray is great for sore throats :) & gargle on salt water to help the infection go quickly

Not back at work yet but my mum offered to have austin every day opposed to putting him in nursery. I chose not to for 2 reasons - didn't think it was fair to rely on my mum & I wanted him to be well socialised to make school less unsettling for him so 2 days a week he will be going to nursery & 2 days to my mums. I'm have 1 day off because hubby gave me the go ahead :) because of the small increase in my wage (1%!) that I never saw due to mat leave & the tax allowance increasing, it works out a little bit cheaper than putting him in nursery.

My friends LO has been in nursery since 6 months & she developed very quickly. She loved going & was excited about starting school in September so this made my mind up

thats a good balence nat :) 2 days a week at nursery will aid development loads- honestly its amazing how much mroe switched on they are!

i mean yes in a ideal world i would still be on maternity leave but at least i shouldnt have the separation anxiety battle which happens when they are older, he will be used to the routine so leaving him wont be so traumatic on his part. My friend who never left her LO with anyone came to put her in nursery at a year old and has had all sorts of issues :\

I don't think there's a problem with kids not being in nursery. I can't afford to put Luke into nursery and I don't want to either so he won't be in nursery until he goes to school nursery. I know plenty people who haven't had their kids in nursery and they've been totally fine.

He's been awful today - really off his food and moaning a lot with his teeth.

oh i know loads of kids who havnt gone to nursery and been fine too :)

when you say school nursery - do you mean pre school?

I never calls it preschool but I suppose it's bathe same thing yeah, the year before reception class.

Awwww poor Luke Jojo. Emma's still dribbling like mad, but no sign of teeth. I swear I could see the white under the gum a few weeks ago. Gone now.

Emma slept through till 7:15 this morning yippee! On the downside, she's my alarm and we have to leave by 7:45 on a thurs am to get my son to gymnastics before school. Fed the kids, flung some clothes on and out the door. We were a state. Emma was still in her pjs too.lol

After a quck trip home for breakfast and shower. I took the plunge and went to a toddler group. My friend runs it, and I know about 75% of the people there anyway, so it was quite good. Never bothered with my older two. Just saw it as hard work having to chase your child round. This place was great though. Kids couldn't escape. Nice and clean, and not too crowded.

Oooo, and just went to Costco. I really need to hide my credit cards! They had all their Xmas stuff out. Bought lots of pressies for the older kids.

There's anew free toddler group opened around the corner on a Wednesday - but I don't know if luke is too young. - Luke hS been napping for an hour so I took a mummy powernap too lol he's not ate Nything today :( nothing. Barely drank 6oz milk... Wong have zany thing near his mouth.

Wouldn't be a problem at our costco because they don't accept credit cards (or at least MasterCard anyway!)

That seems silly. Thought MasterCard was the main card people have these days.

Me to but perhaps it's coz its american? Oh well, saves me spending unnecessarily
