How are all you new mummies doing?

I never really pay attention to these sales and things. Hayley is still in her 3-6 month clothes, which she has tonnes of, but really need more for the bigger sizes as I have hardly anything!

My HV told me not to bother moving to different stages of milks, she said baby gets everything needed from stage 1 milks.

Hayley woke at 7am today and had leaked poop out the top of her nappy! I don't blame the nappy as there was loads - she hadn't pooped yesterday! Gave eher a 10oz bottle of milk which she finished, gave her a bowl of porridge that she finished and let her chew on a rice cake.

10oz seems too much to be honest- you should reduce her bottle down to say 7/8 oz and increase the amount of porridge you give her instead hun

is it so they can market it better? as they advise BF for first 6 months and cant advertise stage 1 on TV or do offers in store etc?

I wondered why Boots said you can't get advantage points on milk under 6 months! Makes sense now, I thought they wanted you to prove your babies age to determine if you get points with their birth certificate haha

They say that their stores of iron are depleted by 6 months so iron is important in their food when weaning so I thought extra iron in his milk can't be a bad thing

I have only just started weaning, so after her first bowl of baby rice a few days ago I did make the next one a larger portion. But she's still wanting 10 oz. If I give her less she isn't happy, I keep trying

She'll soon drop down Kaedin once she's used to the food.

Quick question when should they no longer be having 20oz of formula a day? Is it 12 months? I'm starting to struggle on certain days to get thomas to that. Some days he happily has 24 yesterday for example he managed 18

Snap! I think it is 12 months. Think I'm seriously gonna have to consider vitamin drops if it gets any more frequent xx

*sob*

I made the mistake of having a quick nosey at houses for sale round us and the perfect house is on the market. Doubt they'd consider an offer from us given our house isn't even on the market, but I so want it now I've seen it! :-(

Arghhhh, too many sales on. I'm having a minor panic. Ordered that walker and activity table for Emma the other day. Went to argos to collect it and they are in the 3 for 2 toy sale. And still at their sale prices. Came home again as I have to pick something else for free. The pressure!lol

Bex, we are all sick now too.

nat, i heard they are changing manufacturers so they are just waiting for some more to arrive.

i'm trying to research what to get thomas for christmas now (my next project!!) haven't started yet. Need to have a good look around bearing in mind we have bought a few things in advance. i'm trying not to go too crazy as next christmas he will really understand what it's all about, this time not so much.

bex, sorry your ill, think it's going around. I've had a fuzzy head and funny throat all day so i reckon tomorrow i'll be full of cold and then i'll no doubt give it to thomas so it'll be crap nights sleep all round

Spoke to hv today Stacey at the weigh In clinic and agreed that she's obv hungry but she can't understand why cos she's having 3 meals a snack and 36-39 oz in 24 hours!! She advised to feed her more carbs at tea time so fingers crossed this helps.

Heatinf could be the prob with her waking up initially tho so gonna set it for about 2am for an hour or so.

Hope you feel better soon Bex!

We're meant to be being sensible and staying put, but I really want a 3 bed as we're really squished in to this place and I'm struggling to see how we're going to cope as she gets older.

Feel like crap now. Trying to stay away from thomas so he doesn't get it

Hope everyone who's feeling ill gets better soon!

2nd tooth for Luke! Wow! Hayley is still teething, still on her top left tooth thats properly out. She's had others that have retracted, but you can feel them on the gum but can't really seem them.

Had a busy day, went out into town, bought another big box of nappies from aldi. Popped into a few stores, and there was an armed raid in town so it was cordoned off and tonnes of police so decided it was time to go home. Don't want to hang about with robbers running about. Hayleys dad called at 3.30 to say he was outside (he gets to spend 3 hours with her from 4-7) I told him he's early so she's not ready - I had just made a bottle ready to feed her. and he said "well I'm here, so get her ready!". I hung up, he phoned a few times and I ignored as i cant answer and feed, so when i took her out in car seat he just stood far away and grabbed the seat out my hand and walked away. Didn't even say hello to his daughter. Disgusting. He also didn't return her clothes from last visitation, that he said he would return. Can't wait to see what mediation will solve when it comes to this stupid situation!

Tesco have a clothing sale starting tomorrow too, so I'm heading there along the canal with Hayley so it's a nice walk and a shopping trip :D
