How are all you new mummies doing?

If I could work full time I would but on my wage if I worked if only be working to pay someone else to look after Luke and I don't see the point in paying out what I make for someone to do what I could do if that makes sense.

I'm using the system as it is intended. I'm working and I'm claiming what I'm entitled to, but I know people who have quit work to get benifits and I would much rather work.

Crowns seem to me to be cosmetic after all it's far cheaper to have a tooth out but they are covered. I had a crown done for free before falling pregnant by student dentists. By far the best treatment I've ever had & I hate dentists too.

Think everything I've got Emma so far has been through the deals on amazon that that babybay posts. She's gonna be more interested in eating the paper I reckon though.lol.

I've got the dentist next week. Just for a scale and polish. I love the dentist, like a spa treatment :-)

I don't get how anyone can like the dentist lol especially a scale and polish - hate those!!

I have generally very good teeth thank god.. Just this bad tooth and a few minor fillings which isn't bad I don't think.

I think my mum is getting Luke some musical instrument things... Dreading it lol

I think one of the other girls is a dental nurse who will confirm or correct me because its over a year & half ago. They'll remove temporary filling, smooth what's left of tooth, take an impression, temp crown & once your crown is ready they remove temp crown (worst bit for me but wasn't too bad) & put it over what's left of your tooth. Felt really weird initially but now I don't notice it.

Defo say root canal treatment is the worst. Much prefer to have a tooth out than that!

Yeah I've heard awful things about root canals. I'm terrified of having teeth out - always have been so I want to avoid it if I can.

That's what they did for me but it was a teaching hospital so things may differ slightly

My mum had one and it was so awful she just opted to have another one taken out rather than have another one. Luckily I don't need one

You sure your not one nat! ;-) yeah that's exactly what happens jojo, I don't think any work is particularly bad (not a walk in the park either believe me) once you have had local. I've had a lot of work done including root canal and veneers after falling when I was younger.

Your right Bex, she's not even worth it.How do you deal with not seeing her so much? Like how do you make sense of it iykwim. I just can't imagine being anything other than a main person in S life and don't see why people like her grandmother wouldn't want to be either. Nothing queer as folk eh?! ;-)

After I had dental work without them numbing me properly no work is a walk in the park for me... I know his dentist is good and wouldn't do that but I panic even when I think about it. Even a filling is terrifying for me.

Yikes! You have to be so organised with santas grottos. They seem to be booked months in advance. That price is extortionate!

I'm starting to get there with Thomas' stuff. I have a few things. Keep giving him stuffi buy though! Doh! Not getting too much though as going to put money in his savings account

We managed to get the harrods grotto today, we've booked a Wednesday though and the nearest to December we could get was the 26th November I think it is - we only paid the £10 one though

No real news our end - Maddie's now rolling like a pro though so that's fun! We're using 50/50 pouches/home made too. Will be using pouches on holiday, ordered them all through ocado!

Yeah all the available slots were mid week. Kids will be at school :-( oh well, they didn't know I was booking so they won't know any different.

I just placed another order for Ocado. Love how I can just go and add stuff to my order and see all the specials. I've got heaps of pouches left, but ordered a lot more as they are so cheap!

Well gave S a tiny bit carrot an hour after her milk and she boaked on the tiniest wee bit and sicked her whole bottle up! :wall: I know it's only the first time apart from porridge but a wee bit disheartened. Think I'll try some porridge and a wee bit fruit purée in it tomorrow as a snack and see how she gets on!

Might be too strong tasting for her. I mixed everything with baby rice or porridge for the first week or so till she got used to it.
