I was in town shopping for work clothes today and had a wee few tears in the changing room

I think I need somethjng done and a diet will only do so much - need a lifestyle change and with moving into MILs then that's a big change - just need to get my fucking life sorted excuse my French

I can't afford the luxury of the gym, wish I could... Then again I haven't been since I fell off the treadmill that time

Any of you find your babies are more sick/ sick with meat? Every time I give Thomas beef or chicken I find he sicks up. He's done it again tonight with cottage pie. Doesn't matter what meat it is but always happens

You've a lot going on just now Bex so it's no wonder you feel like that! Sounds like something like the gym or classes will do make you feel better.
Not started yet Kathryn so not too sure but will be interesting to see x

Haha! There's me banging on about Oscar not rolling on his front!

Found him passed out on his front in his cot this morning - then he woke as I was the and rolled back and started laughing! Bless him! So glad he's doing 7-7 again now!!

Ps Toria! Buy some size 4 teats! Oscars draining bottles and having less wind etc! Working a treat! :) took him the first goes to get used to it and how hard to suck but it's working :)

Omg my baby boy is 6 months old today! Where did the timevgo??

Just dropped the kids at school,Emma asleep in her pram from the walk, life is back to normal. Ahhhhh. Getting Emma weighed this morning, off to m&s for jacks flipping jogging bottoms and Emma's snowsuit. Then hope Emma will get back in to routine and sleep for a few hours before pickup.

Happy 6 months Luke!

Will order those teats today Bex. Funny re Oscar on his tummy. He obviously doesn't mind it. Lol.

I'm back to the gym on fri, or possibly tomorrow if I can get a place at the crèche for Emma. Think I need to throw myself back in to a spinning class and just hope I don't have a heart attack :-/

Kathryn, Emma's a bit more sicky now she's on solids, but seems to be everything. Not pleasant now it's not just milk spew. My carpet has orange splotches all over it now, and won't come out.

Ah I thought poo explosions were the worst for washing! At least I could get that out! Orange food stains are impossible! Seems to be just meat! Apart from the sick he's fine, no sign of allergic reaction, bad nappy etc..

Glad your back to normal now toria, good luck with the joggers! It was this time of year (plus just before Christmas) when I used to duck and cover from furious women because we didn't have what they wanted.

Happy 6 months Luke!

Bex- I really need to get off my bum and do some exercise! I've still got weight to lose from pregnancy. Might go for a run today when my mums here. I used to do aerobics but got shin splints and also had limited time to get there after work so I gave up

Orange food stains... You need a bucket, warm/hoe water, washing up liquid, salt and bicarbonate soda... Soak them in the water and washing liquid of about 15 minutes, take them out and ring them it not until they're too dry, then pour bicarbonate sofa on and leave for 10 minutes on a flat surface, them add a nice helping of salt, then with either a sponge or your hand (I prefer using my lnucklwa) just rub it vigorously, back into the water to rince off the salt and things them into the washer on a wash. Works!!

Here's a question for you... My letter from work states...

"At the meeting you told me you had requested to take three weeks annual leave. This means that upon your return, you will have 106 hours left in this holiday year"

Well that sounds to me that after the 3 weeks I'll have 106 remaining which seems a lot at just 25hrs a week. Anyone know the rules on holiday maternity and can help me out on this

Your holiday will be based on your old contract not your new one, but that's probably not it. If will include statutory top up. Basically you should be getting 5.6 weeks holiday (0.6 is 3 days based on a five day working week) due to maternity you will have been classed as working all the bank holidays I would imagine and so they have to give you the difference between your usual holiday and what the government says everyone should have. Normally if you don't work a bank holiday it's classed as part of the statutory holiday so you wouldn't get anything extra.

Not sure if I've explained it that well or if that's even it!!

I'll try the bicarbonate thing and see if it works.. Although most of the stuff has already been washed so think it's had it now

Y 5 weeks is including bank holidays. It was changed last year to stop the double time for bank holidays. We're a 24hour service (care support) so bank holidays fail to exist lol

Government requires everyone to have 5 1/2 weeks (employers can count bank holidays in that if you don't work them) so I imagine that's what it is- because your in mat leave they can't include the bank hols, hence the extra holiday

Oh well as long as I don't have less than expected.

Luke is front facing in his chair today all sat up - he's been sitting up for a while. It facing me but he really looks like he's enjoying the scenery now :) plus the pram is so much easier to get up curbs with his weight on he same side as the handles

Also in other news I seem to be spotting today so hopefully that means period is on it's way.

Kathryn, m&s was packed with people making a mess of what was left of the uniform section. Got what I needed and got out!lol. Massive queues though, and the till I went to broke so had to wait for a Manager. Everyone was giving me the evils as if I'd done it. The lady putting my stuff through was saying so many people yell at her when that happens. She said quite often they get gift cards for the inconvenience. How rude.

Had Emma weighed. 18lb7! Still just above the 75th centile. Asked about the waking in the night, and she said "just hope it gets better. But don't worry, it's usually the clever kids who don't sleep very well so it will be worth it!". Ummm, think I'd rather get an uninterrupted sleep!lol

I hate it when they say that like my kid is stupid because he sleeps?
