How are all you new mummies doing?

Thomas has got a really raw spot on his bum today, been putting barrier cream on and sudocrem all yesterday but it's got worse not better so going to get some metanium nappy rash cream today and change his nappies more regularly.

Not sure if this is from the cold/cough he's had or teething!

Ruri's bum has been the same, just one bit on the inside of his leg. Metaniun is the only thing that shifts it! I blame teething x

Yep just between the crack of his cheeks! He's currently having naked time on the floor on his baby gym.

Bin bag under the gym and some tena bed pads on top!

I would defo go for it then Bexs sounds like u will have lots space n be able to get back on it feet in no time saving that much.

Wow toria lots packed into it day! I find on weds wen Harry is at nursery I spend the whole time cleaning n doing jobs if wen I tell myself to sit down n relax I just think after this little job lol!!!

Lol what a great idea I've never thought of that. I always just put a towel down which he pees on every time!! I'm going to get some today!

Totally off topic but my mum just phoned as she'd found my read book and oh my god what a difference in the guidelines. In my book mums are advised to start baby's on solids between 3-4 months and if they aren't satisfied before then then just give them some Farleys. How times change ;-)

My mum was telling me I was weaned by 4 months! At 6 months I was eating everything they did!

Mad isn't it!!

Toria - she's coming around later - will discuss I think

Times have completely changed. I think my little sister was having mashed up rusks at 6 weeks. Niece's 1st birthday party tomorrow. I just hope the weather is nice as they are planning a bbq x

I would do it bex, we did the same thing albeit before Maddie but we got ourselves into a financial mess when we first moved out and we moved back into my mums the year before our wedding and it gave us enough breathing space to pay off our debt get some money behind us and get married. It all went wrong a bit after we moved out after the wedding as we had a disastrous 6 months so we've got a bit of debt back now to pay off but it's manageable. God knows where we'd be if we hadn't have taken that year back home

Nice to hear positive stories of people doing it :)

Rang a storage company down the road and they reckon 150 quid a month maybe even less to store everything in our house! That's 100sq foot if storage space !

I think it would be worth it bex if u could be debt free n save money too plus you will be at work a lot of the time and if your mil is out a bit plus think of the on hand baby sitter! lol to be debt free Wouid be fantastic and a year isn't a long time really just think what a good position u will be in after a year xxxx

Eurgh, this nappy rash malarky is terrible. I'm changing his bum more regularly now but every time he's poo'd!! Seriously not helping. Whenever his bums been pink before and I've put cream on, next change it's been back to normal. This time it's still red raw :( poor little boy. Changed to using cotton wool and warm water now. Hopefully he'll be back to normal in a few days

I heard a noise before that made my head turn lol a very loud squelchy poo noise. He's using up he rest if he size 3 nappies while he's on the house and using 4'a when he's out and about and it was like a playdoh factory lol
O

Has he eaten anything that could be causing it? I know Emma gets a really sore bum after tomato. Did you get metanium? Always works for me

Emma's first day at nursery went well. Didn't cry at all, was a bit nosy so didn't sleep so much. Ate everything and was happy when I got there to pick her up. Went early and she hadn't eaten her dinner that was cooling, so I fed it to her. Actually tasted nice too.

Aww it's a relief for you Toria that she got on well bet it was great to have a break! Xxx

I don't think so, normal food so don't think it's that. Yep got metanium, think it's just starting to work.

thanks ladies. She had her milk, and straight to bed without a peep. Tired out!

Luke is at my mums with me fast asleep bless him, having a cuppa before we go home

What a rollercoster day!!

Hubby's got a new job- starts in 2 weeks! Hire care being dropped off so he can go to head office to enrole!! Good wage, brand new van doing what he's trained to do! With bonus he will be on about the same
Wage as me !!

House sale is carrying on- we are moving in with hubby's mum

Should be able to save 2k a month !!!

We found out half hour before MIL came around - told her about his job and she started crying - then hubby started crying- that made me cry - was emotional because of all the pressure and strain etc

Is he still able to do that with his back?

Great news.
