How are all you new mummies doing?

Thanks ladies eventually got a couple of hours. Hubby is taking S out for a couple of hours before he starts work so might do some housework... Or might nap!

That is a lot of people!! The last thing you guys could do with just now too, I'm sure. It'll be worth it tho :-) x

I don't like online shopping

It's not forecast to rain however if it does change we have a 6m x 3m event marquee we can put up and 2 smaller ones - one of which can have BBQ under :)

I can't now ask people to start bringing food lol- it's not that which is the issue - more just being lazy TBH

We had one night feed, but Isabelle is fine so far today. Been swimming and went out for breakfast afterwards. She's still got a bit of a runny tum, but her temperature is back to normal (she was a touch cool last night) and so far no sick. Hopefully will stay that way as we've a busy few days seeing family up ahead.

Glad Thomas is ok too.

Bex, that's a lot of people! Are they all coming to your house?!

oh at least uou have a backup! i went to a bbq once where she just sent her hubby out to grill with an unbrella and set up indoors lol.

ordering online - as much as i do it every month- isnt so good for fresh fruit, veg and meat as i like to chooseu things like that myself. are you doing meat or meat and burgers etc? r u making your own burgers because i have a fre great recipes if you are. :)

ive just bought another highchair... the one i have is getting ridiculous! the tray swings over the head and its getting too close to his head so i have to slide him forward a bit to get it over his head. ive just bought a graco chair for £25 from asda instead of the £55 argos wanted for it :)

luke also had a whole jar of mashed veg (carrot, pea, cauliflower and potato)

Buying baby things is abit of a minefield you think you've bought the right thing and then after using it abit you need something different!

Saying that though I live our highchair. Learnt my lesson from our first baby gym which was a disaster!

Thomas has half a jar of savoury food and half a jar of 'dessert' every meal apart from breakfast when he has three/four table spoons of porridge

luke has a bowl of poridge or similar at breakfast time (were just starting this as he hated it for ages!) and then lunchtime he has about 1/2-3/4 of a jar or a pot of home made food. and for tea he has a pot of fruit. he had 7 bottles ytesterday too lol... im thinking hes having another spurt because hes been on 4 bottles a day.

we have a very nice looking and very sturdy chair at the momen that we got 2nd hand... its just too wide and hard and the straps are odd... just generally not very good for him so were getting a different kind and im going to clean this one up and sell it along with the moses basket and stand which luke also hated!

lol my son is disgusting!! thought i smelled pooey bum so i lifted him up and looked down the back of his nappy... it was clean but then he farted in myface... like father like son

Oooft! Don't know how you'll have the energy to make all that, but some of it does sound yummy!

Have a lovely evening!

Wet sand? Doesn't sound good :/

Thanks :D

Yeah I phoned Cow & Gate as it also smelt abit weird. They're sending out a box so I can post it back to them for testing. Already bought a new box and the formula is like normal powder this time, so think it may be a faulty batch or something?

Or moisture has gotton in some how? Weird! Are they giving you a box for free?

Omg Bex, thats a lot of people. I haven't had more than 1 family at a time round since Emma arrived! Lol. Although in an attempt to get Maddie's party sorted that she's having with 2 of her friends, I asked them to come round earlier to save all the emails and txts. One of them was looking after her friends kids too, so we ended up with 10 kids and 3 mums. But they could only both do 12, so had to do lunch too! Thankfully we managed to sort the party, so was worth the mayhem.

Then I thought I'd take the kids for a walk in the Forrest. Within minutes of getting there, Maddie's fallen off her scooter. Blood everywhere, deep cuts in her knees. Grazed both elbows, graze up her hip. Might just stay in for the rest of the school holidays!

i did a hot buffet for my birthday on the same day as lukes christening lol that was hell but was all ok :)

all the food sounds nommy!

luke is all hyper tody thyen he gets sleepy lol hes been in his saucer thing on and off all day because he moans whenever hes not in it lol.

I didn't notice any damage to the foil seal and the outside of the box looks fine so I'm really not sure. When I phoned the woman was saying that it can be normal for formula to vary from season to season dependant on what food the cows are fed, as they are fed differently each season. I have no idea if that's correct or if she's just making stuff up to me lol

They'll send me some vouchers to cover the cost of the box and she said also a voucher for goodwill as I've had to go buy another ect. But not sure how much that'll be.

Kathryn what highchair did you get? I hate my baby gym too. Wish I'd just got the same one I had with my other kids.

I've still not picked my highchair :( my kitchen is quite small and there's not a lot I can actually see here? Ruri's playgym was £10 from mothercare and he loves it lol.

That all sounds delicious Bex! I love BBQ food

Can't believe I go back to work in 2 weeks!! :-(
Hubby has agreed to us getting a cleaner so I'm not spending the weekend cleaning. Rang an agency this morning and they've just rung asking how Id feel about having a male cleaner. Not sure about it, hope he does a better job than hubby! They're sending him round for a chat!

Our kitchen is tiny. So our table and highchair are in the living room next to the TV. It's a bit of a squeeze with all 3 of us around it, but we can't keep eating off our laps now we've got a daughter!
