How are all you new mummies doing?

Can't believe I go back to work in 2 weeks!! :-(
Hubby has agreed to us getting a cleaner so I'm not spending the weekend cleaning. Rang an agency this morning and they've just rung asking how Id feel about having a male cleaner. Not sure about it, hope he does a better job than hubby! They're sending him round for a chat!

nothing wrong with male cleaners hun theyre just as good.

i have a meeting a week on Tuesday about returning ad im shitting myself... if they reject flexi working then im unemployed and probably homeless

2 weeks Katherine?! How long will you have been off for?

Mine is this Tue jojo so I'm hoping the same as you. Fx for you, you have a lot riding on it!

All sounds amazing Bex, go you for being arsed to cook it all!!

Have a great night kaedin, you defo deserve it.

What highchairs do you all have? I still haven't chosen one

Had just over 6 months off. As a teacher it's easier going back in September and hopefully it's only for this year as we want to have another soon. Next time I'm having 12 months off.

I'm back officially 1st sept!! :( wahh

We have a lovely wooden kiddicare one that turns to a toddler table
And chair - however Oscar is just too little for it ATM - but he needed a high chair to sit in

Went and spent 24.99 on a kiddicare cheap jobby and it's great haha! I love
It! Will carry on using it for a good while

We have the ikea antilop one and I love it. We have the support insert in it still at the minute but it's the one all my experienced mummy friends bought after they all bough expensive pretty ones and realised they weren't practical lol

My lack of sleep a catching up on me. Thank goodness it's the weekend!

We've got the Keter Smart Seat. Bought it because it's a 3 in 1 highchair, booster seat and toddler chair, has no fabric and the legs store away inside meaning we can take it to grandparents' houses. Isabelle has sat in it a couple of times already. She needs a little cushion behind her at the moment as she can't sit up by herself yet but we want her used to it before we start weaning.

Bought this after you posted about it & it's brilliant! I would imagine similar to the ikea one but living in a 2 bed house we needed one that was compact & this can be stored on a chair! & also as you said we can take it with us to family visits

Just back from morrisons

18 burgers ( fresh 4 pack jobby )
40 sausages for hot dogs
20 pork chops I've just marinated
15 chicken drum sticks
10 chicken thighs
Will make my own chicken kebabs ( with peppers onions courgette) x15/20

Coleslaw
Potatoe salad( home made )
Salad bowl
Cous cous
French stick
Pasta dish ( home made with peppers onion etc )
Breadsticks and dips
Garlic bread

Crisps, nuts etc as nibbles

Should be enough!!

Hope you bought The Sun yesterday & saved yourself a fiver!

Nah - don't read newspapers :/ I had a busy day entertain in hubby and trying to figure out how we Arnt going to loose our house before it sells!

Didn't even know there was an offer on! :(

Yeah a £5 of £10 spend on meat! I imagine you've done that easy.

It's a horrible situation to be in. We'd be getting rid of the car & getting a cheap run around. Contract phones would be swapped to pay as you go. Sky would be a gonna. Sky alone would save us £100 a month! I'd have cancelled the BBQ (but that's just me).

I could suggest countless things but I'm guessing you'd have probably thought of all this already.

Hope you work something out

Took Luke to church tonight as it's a holy day and right in the quiet contemplation moment he let out a huge vie panda giggle lol - then I laughed and mum laughter and the priest laughed lol came over afterwards and he had a cuddle with him (he's almost family to us now)

At mums now having tea.

We cancelled sky last month because contract was up anyway and we don't watch it - we were only paying 20 a month though ! Not 100!!

Can't swop contract phones to PAYG because we are in a contract and legally bound to pay - failure to pay would fcuk our credit scores massively

Hubby's mum is paying for our car ATM and has been since I went on mat leave (which is finance) so we can keep using it and had also said she will pay oscars nursery fee's as she was worried if we pulled him out of nursery - hubby would get a job and then Oscar would loose his place- apparently they have a waiting list at nursery now and oscars place would get snapped up

The food has cost £100 - everyone is bringing their own drink - I'd already paid for his cake which is being made for him- so decided hubby's 30 once and 100 on the credit card won't make a difference when I've spent more than that already for the day

Hubby used to Manage the sky unit where he works so we got it all half price (would have been free if it sky was his employer!) we have phone & broadband too. They left it half price when he swapped to another unit for about 2 years but since realised & cancelled it! Fortunately me & hubby don't go out partying & never have bothered. We rarely drink at home & neither of us smoke so sky is our luxury! I know a lot of it is repeated etc but I'd miss it if it went.

Your mil sounds fantastic! Lucky you have her

Sky's our luxury too. think we pay £75 a month but that's broadband and phone included. Well worth it and we just phone up every now and again to day we can't afford it and then they give it to us half price or money off.

We have freeview- I don't see the point of having sky TV it's so overpriced!!

That's our plan! Waiting until fibre optic broadband is available tho coz don't wanna contract in again when it could come any time as it's in the area & we're moving to BT for it (free bt sports so hubby can watch matches & moto gp).

Think ours will be more expensive because of multi room, HD & the unlimited broadband? It's either just under or over the £100 mark but like I said it's our luxury!

We get poor tv signal so freeview on our tv was never used from us moving in. Sky was installed after a week because of this. Personally love sky. Access to films & tv series. Sky plus is the best thing ever & the sports channels keep the hubby quiet for hours. I can also watch my stuff upstairs & we can record upto 4 things at once which comes in handy when you have darts & gold clash with something I want to watch!

We thought about giving up sky aswell but I wud defo miss it, I love watching about history stuff on yesterday n history but I must admit sumtimes I do think is it worth it. We do have a deal tho where we get broadband n calls etc think it's about the £70 a month mark.
