You have to REALLLY shake anti reflux milk

Also I make it with prep not with warm water like it says ?

Can't say I get lumps with the aptamil one ? It does get thrown about though and has a good bloody shake!!

I've been using prep, just adding hot shot, then water, then the formula. Will give the bottle a good shake before adding the formula. I've been shaking it tonnes but it still seems to get blocked! So poor hayley is sucking really hard getting nothing and ends up just falling asleep

Kaedin, fingers crossed he doesn't cause issues. They will get him to back pay you anyway, so he'd only be shooting himself in the foot.

Re the bottles. I use size 3 teats, but also mix the formula with a formula mixer to get rid of most the lumpy bits.

I wasn't sure if they would back pay child maintenance. If he was a real man that cared for his child he'd be offering to give me money towards her or asking if she's needing anything. Eejit

He text me telling me hes "taking Hayley Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. All overnight". Clearly he's going out drinking on Friday and drinking on Saturday to be changing the day. Ignoring the text as don't want to tell him about the solicitor until Hayleys home safe on sunday. He can feckin bounce if he honestly thinks she's staying over 3 nights with him and being made to get up really early in the morning to be put in car and driven back to mine cos he's got work in the morning

Ahhh the box says to fill the bottle to the required amount then add formula then shake! I'll do it that way with her next feed in the morning! Feel silly haha

I swirl the comfort milk into the hot shot then swirl it around as it's adding the rest of the water

Nah scrap what the box says - that's prob why it's getting lumps

Don't add the formula to bottle before hot shot either as that makes it lumpy too! Tried and tested all ways to make and doing it got shot- formula- shake- water- shake is the best

Also offer an Oz or 2 of boiled water to avoid constipation x

It's ok! I did the same as you when I went to the reflux stuff plus the hot shot kills bacteria in formula too

I will do! I did wonder about how you kill the bacteria in this formula without the hot shot..but formula is all so confusing as there's so many different and conflicting "rules". I was thinking of buying the storage lids for the bottle so i can shake it without any formula getting stuck in the teat when first shaking, but it's bloody hard to find them. I've tried tesco, asda, even poundstretchers and B&Ms as I thought someone must do them

Her dad will be picking her up at 12 so ill need to tell him to make it that way too or my poor girl will be fading away. Told him she's moved onto this formula but I bet he hasn't bought a box or any bottles for her, just expecting me to give him all my stuff.

Did you not get a tommee tippee one with the prep machine?

I make oscars bottle in a tommee tippee one then tip it into his dr browns - then I wash the tommee tippee one out

I do, but my ex still has it so it's not worth asking for as he'll just refuse and I can't be bothered arguing or basically begging for something worth a 5er.

Do you find to Dr browns bottles alot better than TT for Oscar?

God miles better! Less wind means less burps - less sick, less trapped wind

Not a fan of tommee tippee at all now I've moved to browns!

Browns and reflux milk has been my life saver

Made Hayleys first 2 bottles of the day that way and it's miles better! Thanks ladies

Hayleys dad has just picked her up and he was actually pretty civil today. Gave me back her bottle and rattle that he forgot to bring back last time, even told me where he was taking her (his grans to spend time with his gran, his cousin and their 2 year old daughter) so I know hayley will have fun with them all, but again shows its not him spending the time with her alone - but she'll have lots of people to interact with so it is better and i feel more comfortable with that

He mentioned the days he's asked for hayley as he wants Hayley on sunday instead of saturday (which he's had her every sat since we broke up) as he's getting his brother and cousin up to his on friday. so means he's planning to drink alot on friday and all on saturday. But once he drops Hayley off tomorrow morning ill tell him the arrangement and what my solicitor has said. He won't be happy, but he can easily cancel plans with his family and re-arrange for another day. (he mentioned he's off work all week so he'll have plenty of time to drink and act like a teen).

Now im just getting ready to go out to the pub with my mum and dad

hubby let me have a lie in... unti 11:45!! i wish i hadnt because by back is so stiff now! but it was nioe of him to give me that time imust have been tired to sleep 12 hours lol. luke did 7-9am apparently lol but was disrupted 10:30-110 because i brought him home from my mums.

its hus birthday on monday so hes off work sat, sun, mon, tuesday now which is nice especially as mum is looking after luke on tuesday evening so we can go out to the pictures.
