How are all you new mummies doing?

^^wss. Nothing worse than a stressful day when your hungry!!

Question ladies... If I make a bottle in my perfect prep can I treat the bottles like I would normally when I go out ie, put in insulated bag for a few hours (or my travel fridge if longer)?

Also, if I'm taking travel sterilising bags on holiday what do I use in them? The Milton tablet are for 5 litre tubs but your lucky if the bags are 1? Might be a stupid question!

Yes - at least I do. I used to stick to 2 hour rule but I have left it a bit longer more recently. Never put them in the fridge tho but would imagine same rules apply

Ooh bex I do the same get the aldi ones and eat 3 in a go - love any kind of yoghurt me!!

I'm going to start weaning imminently so got some veg delivered today ready and going to be making purées tonight! I'm excited haha. I'm not against jars either if out and about. I have some little pots I can take the homemade out in but jars/pouches will be what we use on holiday so want to try and get her used to both.

The nightly battle has begun lol I'm giving him 10 minutes to try and settle then I'm in for 5 minutes to try and settle then out for ten. Worked last night so ok giving it a go tonight / he's not screaming yet which I hope is a good sign

Jen! I would break the tablet down- 1 tablet is for 5 litres - so if your using about a litre of water if break it down to a quarter of a tablet - I use half a tablet daily for Oscar spoons and bowls in 2.5ISH litres

Went to meet a solicitor today and it went pretty well. She said my offer of her dad having Hayley from Saturday morning til sunday morning, and from 40pm til 7pm on a wednesday is more than reasonable. I got the impression from her if i said once every 2 weeks she would say that's reasonable too lol.

She's sending a letter to him, will offer him mediation. I've to stick to my offer, if he doesn't abide ive to stop contact

Also not telling him ive seen a solicitor until Hayley is dropped off on sunday, just uncase he starts any funny business i know she's in my care

I kept my time in Luke's room to a minimum tonight, I bathed him, dressed him, read him
A story and stayed in for 5 minutes soothing him then went out the room for 10 then back in to sooth and give his dummy if it fell out. He self settled about 7-10

She said it's sad to see what some people will do when i told her he kicked us out of our house at midnight. But she was impressed that i have been so civil, and said that will always go in my favour if it does go to court. They will always look at whats in the child best interests, and i think they'd fine it hard to justify her being moved half of the week to his and then back to mine ect. Will see what he says when i tell him lol

Wish I could see his face, and when he opens the child maintenance letter Hopefully he'll realise im serious, im not going to be walked all over by him.

Turns out his mum deleted and blocked me of facebook. So childish haha! And i know she doesn't know how to do it so my ex or his brother done it for her, as if i'd want to send her a message once she'd deleted me. So laughable - shows even she isn't trying to make effort to have contact with Hayley by trying to be civil with me (like mother like son eh!)

Hayley is fast asleep, so i have a wee cider and im going to watch the great british bake off! Have a nice night ladies, hope all babies are well behaved tonight for yous xx

They are the ones that I took, as well as the little reusable 1 bottle bags. Only issue was they take 5 litres of water, and I was a bit worried they would break the door handles that they suggest you hang them off.

Kaedin, glad your meeting went well. Was there anything in the letter about him collecting and dropping Hayley off? From memory you don't drive? Also did the solicitor say anything about maintenance for you while you are caring for Hayley?
